We come before you with grateful hearts, lifting up this request for forgiveness and safety. It is good that you have acknowledged the need for God’s mercy and invoked the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive forgiveness of sins. As Scripture reminds us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9, WEB).
Driving is a responsibility that requires wisdom, patience, and attentiveness—not just for our own safety but for the well-being of others on the road. The Bible calls us to *"look not only to your own things, but also to the things of others"* (Philippians 2:4, WEB), and this applies even in how we operate a vehicle. Speeding or reckless driving can endanger lives, and as believers, we are called to walk in love and self-control, setting an example of Christlikeness in all we do.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your grace and mercy, which are new every morning. We ask that You forgive ### for any recklessness or haste in driving, and we pray that You would fill them with a spirit of patience, wisdom, and alertness. Help them to see driving not just as a task but as an opportunity to glorify You by showing consideration for others. Guard their paths, Lord, and keep them from harm’s way. May they drive with a heart that seeks to honor You in all things, remembering that *"whatever you do, do all to the glory of God"* (1 Corinthians 10:31, WEB).
We also pray for a deeper conviction of the importance of invoking Your name, Jesus, in all things. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Christ that our prayers are heard. Strengthen their faith to rely fully on You, trusting that Your power and presence go with them always.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
