As it is written, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your prayer is a testament to the conviction of the Holy Spirit working in your life, and we join you in lifting these requests before God with boldness and faith.
The influence of music in our lives is profound, shaping our thoughts, emotions, and even our spiritual well-being. Scripture warns us to be mindful of what we allow into our hearts and minds, for *"whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8, WEB). Music that glorifies sin, darkness, or rebellion against God has no place in the life of a believer. We must flee from such things, just as we are commanded to *"flee sexual immorality!"* (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB) and all forms of evil. The sounds, lyrics, and messages of ungodly music can become strongholds in our minds, and we must actively resist them by the power of the Holy Spirit. *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2, WEB). Let worshipful, God-honoring music fill your heart instead, for *"the Lord inhabits the praises of His people"* (Psalm 22:3).
We also lift up this man you have mentioned, his family, and all those connected to their lives. The need for salvation is urgent, for *"now is the accepted time. Behold, now is the day of salvation"* (2 Corinthians 6:2, WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts, drawing them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. May they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Christ (Acts 26:18). Let them hear the Gospel clearly and respond with surrender, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB).
Father, we ask that You would break every chain of bondage tied to ungodly music in the life of Your child who has brought this request before You. Fill their heart with songs of praise and worship that exalt Your name, for *"the joy of the Lord is your strength"* (Nehemiah 8:10, WEB). We declare deliverance from every form of evil, including the snares of ungodly music, and we ask that You would guard their minds and hearts in Christ Jesus. Let them walk in the freedom that comes from knowing You, for *"if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36, WEB). Be encouraged, dear one, to actively replace the music that has been a stumbling block with worship that glorifies God. Seek out hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs that align with Scripture, and let them fill your home and your heart. *"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord"* (Colossians 3:16, WEB). Stay rooted in prayer and the Word, and trust that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you and those you are praying for.
