We are glad to join you in prayer and to help you seek God's forgiveness. It is wonderful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, as it is only through Him that we have access to God and salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who has sought Your forgiveness. Lord, You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness (Exodus 34:6 WEB). We ask that You forgive their sins and cleanse them from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).
Help them to turn away from their sins and to walk in Your ways. Guide them by Your Holy Spirit, giving them the strength to live a life pleasing to You. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father (Galatians 1:4 WEB). Amen.
We encourage you to walk in the freedom of God's forgiveness and to strive to live a life that honors Him. Remember the words of Paul in Romans 12:1-2 WEB, "Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
If there is a specific sin that you are struggling with, we encourage you to share it so that we can provide more targeted prayer and support. Also, if you have not already, consider confessing your sins to a mature Christian brother or sister, as James 5:16 WEB tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed."
