We hear your heart’s cry for restoration and renewal in what appears to be a relationship that once held promise. First, let us address the foundation of all prayer, access to the Father is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, we urge you to do so now. Salvation is the first and most vital step in aligning your life, and any relationship, with God’s will.

Now, regarding your request for the renewal of this couple, we must examine this desire through the lens of Scripture. If this relationship is between a man and a woman who are both believers, and if they are not currently married to others, then we can pray for God’s guidance and restoration, but only if the relationship is being pursued with purity and the intention of marriage. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy belongs only within the covenant of marriage (Hebrews 13:4). If there has been fornication, sexual relations outside of marriage, this must be repented of and forsaken before any restoration can be blessed by God. Confess this sin, turn away from it, and seek forgiveness through Christ’s blood, which cleanses us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

If, however, this relationship involves someone who is already married to another, then what you are asking for is the restoration of an adulterous union, which God explicitly condemns (Exodus 20:14, Matthew 5:28). We cannot pray for the continuation of sin. Instead, we would pray for repentance, healing, and the restoration of any broken marriages involved. If this is the case, we urge you to seek godly counsel and turn away from this path immediately.

Assuming this is a relationship between two unmarried believers who once courted with the intention of marriage, we can pray for renewal, but with discernment. The Bible warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If one or both of you do not share a saving faith in Christ, this relationship cannot be blessed by God. We would encourage you to seek a spouse who loves the Lord and walks in His ways, for only then can a marriage reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33).

As for your request to be shielded from envy, the evil eye, or opposing prayers, we must remind you that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). While we can pray for protection, our ultimate trust must be in God’s sovereignty. He is greater than any scheme of the enemy, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper when you are in His will (Isaiah 54:17). However, if you are walking in disobedience, no amount of spiritual warfare will bring blessing. First, ensure your heart and actions align with Scripture.

Let us now come before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. Lord, we lift up this situation before You, asking for Your wisdom and discernment. First, we pray for salvation, if either of these individuals does not know You as Lord and Savior, draw them to Yourself. Let them confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, so they may be saved.

Father, if this relationship is between two unmarried believers who once courted with the intention of marriage, we ask that You would reveal Your will for them. If it is Your plan for them to be together, renew their love and commitment to one another in a way that honors You. Let their relationship be built on Your Word, with purity, mutual respect, and a shared desire to serve You. Guard their hearts from temptation, and help them to flee from sexual immorality. If there has been sin in this area, Lord, bring conviction, repentance, and restoration through the blood of Jesus.

If this relationship is not in Your will, whether because of unbelief, adultery, or any other reason, we ask that You would break any unhealthy attachments and lead both individuals into Your perfect plan for their lives. Give them the strength to walk away from anything that displeases You, and fill them with Your peace and hope for the future.

Lord, we also pray for protection over this couple, whether they are restored or not. Shield them from the schemes of the enemy, from envy, and from any spiritual attacks. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let Your angels encamp around them. Above all, draw them closer to You, that they may find their identity, security, and purpose in Christ alone.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to seek godly counsel from your local church or a trusted pastor. Relationships are complex, and it is wise to have accountability and guidance from those who can speak truth into your life. If this relationship is meant to be restored, it will be in God’s timing and according to His will. Trust in Him, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). If it is not His will, He has something better in store. Surrender this desire to Him, and let Him direct your steps.

Thank you for letting us pray with you. It’s clear you’re carrying a deep longing for renewal in this relationship, and we’re grateful you reached out so honestly. We understand how heavy it can feel when love has stalled and hope is tangled up with worry about what others might be thinking or speaking against you.

One thing we have seen over and over is that God’s work in our hearts, and in relationships, often unfolds little by little, like a slow sunrise rather than a sudden lightning bolt. A single breakthrough moment is wonderful, but real, lasting renewal usually grows through the steady, quiet choices we make each day to trust Him. That means you don’t have to manufacture a climax; you can simply take the next small step of entrusting this whole situation to the One who already knows the end from the beginning.

We’ll certainly pray for God’s mercy and leading in your love life. While we can’t promise a particular outcome, we can ask our Father to guide you both, to give you wisdom, and to guard your hearts from fear of envy or ill-will. When our eyes stay fixed on His goodness, the sting of others’ negativity often loses its power. So, as you wait, lean into your own walk with Jesus. Let prayer and Scripture become a quiet shelter, not just a quick plea for a fix. He is your surest protection.

Let’s pray:

Father, thank You that You see ###’s heart. You know the hope he holds for this relationship and the ache of waiting. We ask You to meet him right now with Your peace. Surround him with Your presence, and if it is Your will, bring healing and a fresh start for this couple in Your perfect timing. In the meantime, shield them both from envy, from every harmful word spoken against them, and from the discouragement that can come when answers feel slow. Help ### to rest in Your love and to trust that You are working, even in the silence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The ground of mercy lies not in anything we do, but in the sacrifice of Christ. When there is a sacrifice, God looks on sin with eyes of mercy; though Justice says, “Destroy,” He says, “No, I have punished My dear Son, and will spare the sinner.” It is only in the eyes of Divine Grace that this becomes the door of mercy for us. Therefore, before you ask for an outpouring of glory on your love life, I bid you come to Jesus Christ, the Divine Physician for sin-sick souls. You will never come to Him as long as you are in love with sin, and so much in love with it are we by nature that we never will come at all except Omnipotent Grace draws us. And this is the blessed test: all Divine operations in the heart are towards Christ. Does your desire lift up Christ? Does it draw you to trust in Christ, to love Christ, to be like Christ? Then it is well. But if any earthly affection stands before your love to Him, it is a idol that must be cast down.

The love of God is that Fountain from which all rivers of mercy rise, mercy in time and glory hereafter. It is Divine tenderness which bears with our obstinacy in rejecting Christ, and plies us with incessant expostulation. Hear it now: though you have not called upon Him as you ought, yet He speaks love abounding. He sets before you a great sea of love, without bottom or shore, made intelligible through the Divine Interpreter, Jesus Christ the Friend of sinners. He asks no great thing of you save that you look to Him and live. And when you have tasted that the Lord is gracious, you will find that His love is a feeling vastly more to be valued than mere mercy, He loves you! And nothing can separate you from that love. Then, being rooted and grounded in that love, you may seek the renewal of human affections, but always in the bonds of holy matrimony, for that is a lifelong covenant reflecting Christ and His church. Until then, let your walk be pure, your heart guarded against envy and contrary prayers, for the Lord is your shield.

I charge you, take hold of the novelties of Divine Mercy. His compassions fail not; they are new every morning. You have been spared, and that is a mercy indeed. Now, let your gratitude show itself not merely in words, but in new actions which speak louder. Should we not labor to know more of His love, to eat and drink all the stores of the banquet of love? If it be His will to renew the enchantments you speak of, He will do it in a way that brings glory to His name and good to your souls. But remember, love is a matter of the heart, and if the heart is not right with God, external acts are of no service. Faith, hope, and love, these three Divine sisters must never be separated. First be enamored of Him, and then all other affections will fall into their proper place under the shadow of His wings. Cast yourself upon His mercy; it is all of free Grace, from first to last. The dry tree by Divine Grace shall flourish; the low tree shall mount to the stars. Trust in Him, and He will give you the desires of your heart as they are conformed to His perfect will.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for the glory of God to be poured upon your love life and for a renewal of affection, yet examine your heart: does this desire spring from the love of God or from the carnal mind that is enmity against Him? You speak of being shielded from envy, but perhaps envy has already entangled your soul. For he who longs to possess another’s enchantments often falls into jealousy, and envy is the mother of murder, it troubled Cain, Joseph’s brothers, and even the devil himself, and it disables the eyes of the soul to one’s own ruin.

If you would see God’s mercy, first show mercy. Nothing is so characteristic of a Christian as mercy; yet we often ask mercy from God but withhold it from others in our grasping for worldly things. Instead of pleading for the revival of a romantic bond, pray that both you and she may love the Lord your God with all your heart, and your neighbor as yourself. Love envieth not, is not puffed up. Let your soul be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, and cast out all envy, deceit, and rivalry.

Do not seek to bend another’s will to your own, but entrust all to His fatherly care. If it is His will, He may guide you into a holy marriage, but until then, guard your life against the passions that trouble it. Seek first to be made righteous through faith and love, for His grace is exceedingly abundant toward those who trust in Him. Pray for the renewal of your own heart, that you may love without dissimulation and cleave to what is good. Then, whether you remain single or enter marriage, you will find the true joy that no envy can steal.
