We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and we stand with you in this moment of spiritual warfare. The act of "kicking the dust off your feet" echoes the words of our Lord Jesus Christ when He sent out His disciples, instructing them to shake off the dust from their feet as a testimony against those who rejected the Gospel (Matthew 10:14). This is a serious and sobering action, one that signifies the withdrawal of God’s message from those who have hardened their hearts against Him.
Beloved, we must first examine our own hearts before the Lord. Have we truly extended grace, love, and truth to New Richmond, Wisconsin, as Christ commands? Have we prayed fervently for its people, its leaders, and its spiritual climate? The Lord calls us to be ambassadors of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:20), and while there are times when we must shake the dust from our feet, we must ensure we have done so with a heart that is broken for the lost, not one that is hardened by bitterness or resentment.
We rebuke any spirit of offense, unforgiveness, or pride that may have taken root in this situation. The enemy would love nothing more than to see God’s people divided, discouraged, or distracted from the Great Commission. We declare that this will not be so! We stand on the authority of Jesus Christ, who has given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We bind every spirit of rebellion, hardness of heart, and spiritual blindness that may be at work in New Richmond, and we loose the Holy Spirit to move in power, convicting of sin and drawing hearts to repentance.
We also lift up the believers in that region. Father, we pray for Your remnant in New Richmond, those who love You and seek to walk in Your ways. Strengthen them, Lord. Encourage their hearts. Let them be a light in the darkness, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14). Surround them with Your protection, and fill them with boldness to proclaim Your truth in love.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We acknowledge that You alone are God, and there is no other. We thank You for the authority You have given us in Christ to stand against the schemes of the enemy. Lord, we lift up New Richmond, Wisconsin, to You. We ask that You would soften the hearts of the people there, that they may turn from their ways and seek You with all their hearts.
We rebuke every spirit of deception, idolatry, and rebellion that may be at work in that place. We declare that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). We pray that the eyes of the blind would be opened, that the ears of the deaf would be unstopped, and that the hearts of the lost would be turned to You. Let Your Word go forth with power, and let signs and wonders follow those who believe.
Father, we also pray for our own hearts. Forgive us if we have allowed bitterness, anger, or unforgiveness to take root. Cleanse us, Lord, and renew a right spirit within us. Help us to walk in love, even toward those who have rejected us or Your message. Teach us to pray without ceasing for the lost, and to trust You with the outcome.
We declare that New Richmond is not beyond Your reach. You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We ask that You would pour out Your Spirit on that place, that revival would break out, and that many would come to know You as their Lord and Savior. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Beloved, do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Continue to intercede for New Richmond, and trust that God is at work even when you cannot see it. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37). Will you be one who labors in prayer and love for the sake of the Gospel? We encourage you to press into the Lord, to seek His face, and to ask Him to use you as a vessel of His love and truth. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Stand firm, and watch what He will do!
