Humble Prayer Warrior
Please pray for me as I will be studying for my driving theory test on Sunday. Also I am still clinging onto my anger and am still struggling to forgive my mother. In Jesus high name.

We join with you in prayer and thank you for coming in Jesus' high name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in no other name that we are saved. We rejoice that you have acknowledged Him, for as it is written, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved Romans 10:13 and There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5.
We lift up your driving theory test to the Lord. We pray for diligence and clarity as you study and for peace to guard your heart from anxiety. The Lord delights when we commit our work to Him and seek His wisdom. Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. James 1:5 promises But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We ask God to give you understanding to remember what you study, to be alert and focused, and to rest in His peace. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray you will do your best to prepare and trust the outcome to Him.
We also hear your honest confession that you are still clinging to anger and struggling to forgive your mother, and we want to walk with you in this with both compassion and truth. We must gently rebuke this clinging to anger, not to condemn you but because God loves you and knows that unforgiveness harms you and gives place to the enemy. Ephesians 4:26-27 says Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil. And Ephesians 4:31-32 says Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
Forgiveness is not saying the hurt did not matter or that sin was acceptable, but it is releasing the debt to God and choosing to forgive as we have been forgiven. Colossians 3:13 says bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Jesus also warned us For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses Matthew 6:14-15. This is a serious call, and we cannot hold onto anger and walk fully in the freedom Christ purchased for us at the same time.
We encourage you to bring this struggle honestly to the Lord every day, asking Him to soften your heart and to help you to will to forgive even when emotions still hurt. Honoring your mother as God commands does not always mean immediate closeness if there has been deep hurt, but it does mean releasing bitterness and choosing mercy in your heart and, as God leads, seeking reconciliation with wisdom and boundaries.

We ask You to pour out wisdom and understanding as they study for this theory test, to help them comprehend, remember, and apply what they learn, and to grant calmness and confidence on the day of the test. Let Your peace guard their heart and mind. We also bring before You the pain and anger held toward their mother. Lord, You see every wound and every tear. We ask You to heal what is broken, to convict where anger has taken root, and to give the grace to forgive as You in Christ have forgiven us. Take away bitterness and malice and replace it with tenderness and mercy. Teach them to release this burden to You and to walk in freedom. Help them to trust You to be the righteous Judge and the Healer. We commit both needs into Your loving hands, asking that Your will be done and that You be glorified in their life. It can help to break the material into shorter sessions over the next few days rather than one long cram, do practice questions when you can, and give yourself good rest the night before so you come in fresh. We will be praying for peace and recall on Sunday.

One thing that has helped others is understanding that forgiveness often has two parts. There is a decision to release the desire to get even and to wish good rather than harm, and then there is the slower change in emotions as resentment and hurt loosen over time. The decision can come first even while the feelings are still tender, and it is normal for them to take longer to catch up.

We will pray for you as you give yourself to study for your driving theory test on Sunday. May the Lord grant you a clear mind, a steady memory and diligence in your preparation, and may He grant you favour in the day of your examination. Labour faithfully in what is set before you, and commit the outcome to His gracious providence, trusting that He will order all things for your good.
Concerning the anger which still clings to your heart toward your mother, you have done well to confess it plainly, for such honesty is the beginning of healing. Hear what the Word declares, There is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared. This is a divine forgiveness, I even I am He that blotteth out thy transgressions, and it is a surprising and complete forgiveness, the tally destroyed and the record of debt nailed to the Cross. If you have tasted how freely and fully Christ has forgiven you, though your sins were many, then you know the pattern to which you are called. Even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. He not only forgave at the first, but continues daily to forgive, He keeps no back reckonings and retains no reserves of anger, and His forgiveness is eternal, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. It is a joint stock business of mutual forgiveness among the people of God, and for those who have received so much, to forgive should become as natural as to open our hands. Do not cling to anger, for it will become a burden that brings down the heart with labour. Bring your mother before the Lord, ask Him to soften your heart as He has softened His heart toward you, and pray that He will enable you by His Spirit to release the debt as you have been released.

Grant repentance where needed, grant grace to forgive even as Christ has forgiven, and grant healing to both hearts. Let the healing leaves of Christ bring wholeness where there has been pain, and let Thy perfect forgiveness be both received and reflected. We ask this in the high and holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We thank you for sharing your request with us and we are praying for you.
For your driving theory test on Sunday, we pray that God will grant you clarity, focus and peace as you study. Scripture urges us to look carefully how we walk, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil, and to understand what the will of the Lord is. Use the time God has given you well in preparation, study diligently, rest well, and trust Him with the outcome. He cares even about the anxieties that weigh on our hearts and desires to free us from needless worry as we commit our work to Him. We pray for a clear mind to recall what you have learned and for calmness on the day of the test.
We also hear your honest confession about clinging to anger and struggling to forgive your mother. This struggle is real and God sees it. The Scriptures warn us to cleanse away the root of bitterness and to cut off the groundwork of anger, because anger left to remain takes root and harms us deeply. Holding onto it does not bring healing, but forgiveness reflects the grace we ourselves have received. The psalm reminds us, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. We have been forgiven much through Jesus Christ alone, and He calls us to extend that same forgiveness to others, even when it is difficult and even when the hurt is deep. Forgiveness does not mean pretending the pain did not happen, but it means releasing the right to hold the debt and entrusting justice and healing to God, choosing to walk in obedience and love.
We encourage you to bring this anger to the Lord daily in prayer, to ask Him to soften your heart, to help you honor your mother as He commands, and to show you how to pursue peace where possible. If reconciliation is difficult, ask God for wisdom for right boundaries while still letting go of bitterness.
