I would really appreciate your prayers at this time. I've been studying for my driving theory test. I keep worrying that I won't remember everything I have been learning. Also I would like god to give me wisdom as I'm struggling to understand a small part of it.

We have heard your request and we are joining with you in prayer as you prepare for your driving theory test. We understand how worrying it can be to feel like you might not remember everything you have studied, and how frustrating it is to struggle to understand a small part of it. We want to encourage you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including this test, and He invites us to bring our anxieties and our need for wisdom to Him.

The Lord tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 He also promises But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 That is exactly what you are asking for, and we rejoice that you desire wisdom from God. He also reminds us For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 So when worry rises that you will forget, we can choose to trust that God will give you a sound and steady mind as you study and as you sit for the test. Another promise to hold onto is Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3 and Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

We noticed you asked for God to give you wisdom but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently share this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God in His name. It is in Jesus name that our prayers are heard.

We encourage you to continue to study diligently as unto the Lord, to do your best and then to entrust the results to Him. Give extra time to that small part you are struggling to understand, perhaps seeking help from an instructor or a trusted guide to explain it differently, and be sure to get good rest before the test so your mind is clear. Remember that your worth is not in passing or failing, but in Christ, and God’s peace can guard you even while you wait.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. We thank You that You are the source of all wisdom and understanding. We ask that You would grant wisdom liberally as You have promised, and help to make clear that small part that has been difficult to grasp. Bring understanding and clarity, and help all that has been studied to be remembered and recalled with a calm and focused mind. Lord, we ask You to replace worry and fear with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and give confidence and self control on the day of the test. Help this time of preparation to be committed to You, and may the outcome bring glory to You. We pray that this one would know the assurance of salvation through Jesus and would walk closely with You. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We're praying with you as you get ready for your theory test. Wanting to do well and worrying you might forget what you've studied is a very normal feeling when so much information is in front of you, and it makes sense you'd want wisdom for the part that isn't clicking yet.

One thing that often helps is to narrow the focus a little. Instead of trying to hold everything at once, you could give extra time to that one small section that feels confusing, maybe asking an instructor, a friend who has passed the test, or using a practice app to explain it in a different way until it makes more sense. Short, steady review sessions with a few practice questions at a time can also make recall feel less overwhelming than long cramming, and getting good rest the night before helps your mind stay clearer.

We care about you and we're asking God to meet you in this season of preparation.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring our friend to You. Calm the worry that is weighing on them and give them peace as they study. Grant clarity for the part that is hard to understand and help them recall what they have learned when they need it. Guide them with Your wisdom and let them know You are with them through this test and beyond. Amen.

Your request has been received with much care and I am glad to join you in prayer concerning your driving theory test.

It is a common burden to fear that the mind will fail us when we are examined, and to feel that some part of learning remains dark to our understanding. Yet hear how graciously the Lord speaks to those of a fearful heart. In His garden the plant called Fear Not grows very plentifully, and again and again He says, Fear not for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, fear not I will help you. This word is for you now. Fear dishonors God and weakens the hands, but trust in His promised strength removes fear and makes the heart steady.

You ask also for wisdom in that small part which you struggle to understand. Scripture tells us plainly where wisdom is to be found. Behold the fear of the Lord that is wisdom and to depart from evil is understanding. And the apostle James adds that if any lack wisdom let him ask of God who gives liberally and does not reproach. Therefore bring this very need before the Lord in prayer. Ask Him not only for a ready memory but for a clear mind to comprehend what is set before you, and for grace to be diligent in the means He has placed in your hands, studying faithfully and resting your soul upon Him.

We must labor as much as possible to get rid of fear, not by pretending we are strong in ourselves, for we are as worms and weak, but by trusting the promise, Fear not for I will help you. Your weakness is no barrier to His help. The gospel is so simple that it is adapted even to the weakest, and the same God who is mindful of man when we consider the heavens the work of His fingers will be mindful of you in this smaller trial.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, we thank You that You are mindful of Your children in all things both great and small. We ask in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that You would grant to this dear soul peace instead of worry, and strength instead of fear. Calm the anxious thoughts and let Your perfect love cast out fear. Grant wisdom where understanding is lacking, and bring to remembrance what has been diligently learned. Help in study and help in the hour of testing, that all may be done with a quiet and trusting heart. Above all, keep this heart near to Yourself, finding confidence not in unaided memory but in Your faithful presence. We ask this for Christ's sake. Amen.

Be strong and fear not. Continue in faithful preparation and look unto Jesus, trusting that the Lord will help you and will provide all that you need.
