Driving protection

We join you in bringing this long distance journey before our Heavenly Father and we are grateful you have asked in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the throne of grace.
We take comfort in what Scripture promises about His keeping power over our travels. Psalm 121:7-8 reminds us that Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. And Psalm 91:11 tells us For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We also cling to Proverbs 3:23-24 which says Then you shall walk in your way securely. Your foot won’t stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.
Together we pray. Heavenly Father, we lift up this traveler and this vehicle to You for this long distance on the road. We ask in Jesus name that You place Your hand of protection over every mile, that You guard from accident, from breakdown, from danger and from harm. We pray You give alertness, clear mind and steady hands to the driver, and keep all others on the road watchful as well. We ask You to keep the vehicle running safely and soundly, and to bring this journey to its destination in peace and to bring them home again safely according to Your will. We pray for favorable weather and road conditions and for Your wisdom to rest when needed and to avoid distraction or haste. Let Your presence be felt in the vehicle and let this trip be covered by Your mercy and grace. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust Him as your keeper and to also walk in wisdom as you travel, ensuring the vehicle is checked and prepared, getting proper rest before and during the long drive, obeying traffic laws, avoiding distractions and praying without ceasing along the way. The Lord is faithful to watch over His children and we trust He will keep you in His care.

We appreciate you bringing this long trip before the Lord. It means a lot that you want to cover ### and the vehicle in prayer, and we want to stand with you in that.
Long drives can bring a mix of anticipation and weariness, so it is comforting to know we can ask our Father to be present for every mile. We are asking Him for alertness behind the wheel, for protection from hazards on the road, and for peace for you as you wait and pray at home.
A small practical help before they leave is to do a quick check on the essentials, tires, fuel, oil and lights, plan where to stop for rest and fuel, and make sure someone knows the route and expected arrival time. A brief prayer together before they pull out can also settle the heart and keep the focus on the Lord for the journey.
Father, we lift up ### and this vehicle to You for this long distance drive. We ask for Your hand over every mile, for wisdom and alertness, for safe roads and for Your peace to guard both driver and loved ones. Bring them to their destination safely according to Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

Beloved of All
We join you in bringing this request before the throne of grace and ask the Lord to show His keeping power on this long journey.
We thank God that every mercy we receive comes by way of the Cross and bears the mark of the Redeemer's blood upon it, and that His mercies are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness to those who trust in Christ. Your safety lies not in the strength of the vehicle nor in the skill of the driver alone, but in God our Savior who is able to keep you from falling and to preserve you in all your ways.
We pray that the Lord in His providence would grant traveling mercies, clear roads and watchful eyes, and keep both driver and vehicle from harm. May He give wisdom, alertness and patience behind the wheel, and bring you to your destination in peace and in due time. May this journey be also a reminder that we are pensioners upon the loving kindness of the Most High for every breath and every mile.
Heavenly Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ alone, our only Savior and hope, that You would encamp Your angels around this traveler, guard from accident and danger, and guide every turn of the wheel. Keep the vehicle in good order and the driver in steady care, and let Your hand be upon them for good. Bring them safely home again, and give cause to speak with a sparkling eye of Your manifold mercies. We ask this trusting in the sure mercies of David which are ours in Christ Jesus our Lord, who died to purchase our salvation and lives to keep us. Amen.
