We are deeply grieved to hear of this sinful and predatory behavior, and we stand firmly against such wickedness in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The actions described are not only morally reprehensible but also a direct violation of God’s holy commandments. The Scripture is clear: *"Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB).
This man’s behavior is an affront to God, an abuse of his position, and a betrayal of the trust placed in him as a professional. His threats to silence the nurse only compound his sin, revealing a heart hardened by deceit and corruption. The Lord sees all things, and His justice will not sleep forever. *"Be sure your sin will find you out"* (Numbers 32:23, WEB), and *"the way of the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh"* (Proverbs 15:9, WEB). We must also warn that if this man claims to be a believer, his actions expose him as a hypocrite, for *"no sexual immoral person... has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God"* (Ephesians 5:5, WEB). True repentance is required, or he will face the wrath of God.
To the nurse and all women who suffer such harassment and abuse, we say: You are seen by God, and He is your defender. *"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble"* (Psalm 9:9, WEB). Do not be silenced by fear. If it is safe to do so, we encourage you to report this behavior to the proper authorities and seek protection under the law, for God has instituted governing authorities to punish wrongdoers (Romans 13:4). You are not powerless, and you are not alone. The Lord stands with the vulnerable, and so do we.
We also pray for the many working women who face such dangers daily. May the Lord raise up godly men and women to protect and advocate for them, and may He expose and bring to justice those who exploit their positions for evil. *"Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Judge the fatherless. Plead for the widow"* (Isaiah 1:17, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this grievous situation and the many like it that plague our world. Lord, You are a God of justice, and we ask that You expose the wicked deeds of this man who preys on the vulnerable. Let his sin be brought to light, and may he face the consequences of his actions, whether through the authorities You have established or by Your own hand. Break his pride, convict his heart, and if it is Your will, bring him to true repentance—though we know that without it, he stands under Your judgment.
Father, we pray for the nurse who has suffered this violation. Comfort her, Lord, and remove her fear. Surround her with Your protection and provide her with the courage to speak out if it is safe to do so. Heal the wounds of her heart and mind, and let her know that she is precious in Your sight. We ask that You place godly people in her path to support and defend her, and that You would grant her justice.
Lord, we also lift up all women who face harassment, abuse, and exploitation in their workplaces. You are their shield and their strength. Raise up advocates for them, and let Your justice roll down like waters (Amos 5:24). Convict the hearts of those in authority to act righteously and protect the innocent.
Finally, Father, we pray for a revival of godliness in our society. Let Your Spirit move mightily, turning hearts away from sin and toward holiness. May men and women alike seek to honor You in their conduct, and may the fear of the Lord return to our land.
We ask all these things in the mighty and righteous name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Judge. Amen.
