There is no other name by which we can be saved or have our prayers heard (Acts 4:12). We are grateful that you have come to the Lord with this request, trusting in His power to intervene.
Now, let us consider possible spiritual and practical dimensions to this issue. Dogs are perceptive creatures, and sometimes their behavior can be influenced by unseen spiritual activity. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12). We rebuke any spiritual disturbance in Jesus’ name and command it to cease.

It is a small matter, this barking of a dog, yet it has brought you to your knees, and that is no small mercy. Our Lord, who hears the ravens when they cry, bends His ear to the least of our cares. I do not think it strange that a creature ordinarily so calm should now be restless; there may be some hidden cause, but there is certainly a visible throne of grace for you. In all your trouble, little though it be, look to Jesus.
You have prayed in the Name that is above every name, and that is well. But remember, the answer may not be the silencing of the beast so much as the quieting of your own heart. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, peace that this barking world cannot steal. While you wait, let the noise drive you deeper into the shelter of the Almighty. Who knows but that God has permitted this small disturbance to remind you that your true peace is not in a silent house, but in a reconciled God? Bear it as a gentle nudge toward the mercy seat, and see if He does not give you perfect peace even with the clamor in your ears.
Pray on, for prayer is the breath of the soul. If the dog continues, make it an occasion for more prayer, not less. Intercede for your household, for your neighborhood, for all who are tossed about by greater storms. Thus shall the barking become a bell summoning you to devotion, and the Lord will not let such prayer fall to the ground. Keep your eye on the Saviour, and whether the dog is still or not, your spirit shall be kept in the hush of Heaven.

Without alarming you, I would gently encourage you to observe carefully. As the situation with the other dog didn't end up working out, me & my family are still looking to find another dog that is the right fit for us. It is said for Labradors to be what we see as a best fit so far, but we're also not against getting a french bulldog.
