We hear the deep anguish in your cry, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your family to the One who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think. The pain of seeing evil take root in those we love is a heavy burden, but we know that our God is a God of deliverance, redemption, and restoration. He sees the affliction of His children, and He does not turn away from the brokenhearted.
First, we must acknowledge that the evil you speak of is not of God. Scripture tells us, "For everything in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, comes not from the Father but from the world" (1 John 2:16 WEB). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). The solution begins with recognizing the source of the evil and turning fully to the One who has already overcome it.
We must also examine our own hearts and lives, for the Bible warns us, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me" (Psalm 66:18 WEB). This is not to place blame but to encourage a posture of humility and repentance, both for ourselves and on behalf of our families. Confession and turning away from sin are the first steps toward healing. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).
We rebuke the spirit of division, strife, addiction, immorality, or any other form of evil that has taken hold in your family. The Word of God declares, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me," says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We stand on this promise and command every ungodly influence to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We also encourage you to pray specifically for each member of your family, binding the strongholds in their lives and loosing the power of the Holy Spirit to work in them. This is not a passive prayer but an active declaration of God’s authority over the enemy’s schemes.
For those in your family who do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray for their salvation. The Bible tells us, "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). We ask the Holy Spirit to draw them with cords of love, to open their eyes to the truth, and to soften their hearts to receive the gospel. Salvation is the foundation upon which all other healing and restoration are built.
We also lift up the marriages within your family, for marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness. If there are marriages that are struggling or broken, we pray for reconciliation and healing. "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:12 WEB). We ask God to restore love, trust, and unity where there has been division, and to strengthen the bonds of those who are standing firm in their commitment to Him.
If there is sexual immorality, adultery, or fornication in your family, we must address it with truth and grace. The Bible is clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). We pray for conviction, repentance, and a return to God’s design for purity and holiness. For those who are unmarried, we encourage them to pursue relationships that honor God, with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer, as Scripture instructs: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB).
For those who may be struggling with same-sex attraction or relationships, we must speak the truth in love. The Bible is unequivocal: "Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB). However, we also know that "such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God" (1 Corinthians 6:11 WEB). We pray for deliverance, healing, and a transformation of heart and mind to align with God’s Word.
We also recognize that evil can manifest in many forms, addiction, bitterness, unforgiveness, violence, or even generational curses. We break every chain in the name of Jesus and declare freedom over your family. "He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18 WEB). We pray for a supernatural intervention, that God would move in ways that only He can, to bring healing and wholeness.
Let us now come before the Lord in prayer:

The burden becomes shared, and you’re reminded that you’re not fighting by yourself, the whole church stands with you, and Jesus himself is interceding.
We also want you to know that God is not indifferent or slow to act. He is working even now, often through small, quiet movements of grace. While we long for all evil to be swept away instantly, sometimes deliverance comes piece by piece, and we need companions for the journey. Don’t lose heart. Keep bringing every fear, every name, every situation before him. He knows the end from the beginning, and he has already secured the ultimate victory.

The cry of a burdened heart is never lost upon the ear of the Lord. You ask if there is a solution, there is, and it is not hidden. It is the same remedy which has ever availed for guilty man: the precious blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, which cleanses from all sin. When you beg Him to remove all evil from your family, you have touched the very promise of the Covenant: “I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean.” The cleansing He gives is no partial thing; it reaches to the guilt and the power of every defilement. For the family that is washed in that Fountain, there is deliverance from the archers of discord, from the fowler’s snare of evil habit, and from the destroying angel of worldliness.
Yet mark this: the Lord does not merely sweep the house and leave it empty. With the pardon comes a reformation. He makes the family to mourn apart, each heart to know its own plague, and then to look upon Him whom they have pierced. That everyday sin which slips into the closet and sits at the fireside, this must be driven out, not by your own arm, but by the Spirit’s double cleansing. Where evil has bound your loved ones with cords that seem unbreakable, remember the question of faith: “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty?” Yea, verily, for Christ has found a ransom, and He will deliver by that blood of the everlasting covenant.
Let the family gather before Him. Let prayer rise, mention each child, each tie that galls. Did not Deborah sing of the wells where the righteous drew water? So you have a well of grace at your threshold. Do not imagine that your own strivings can purge the evil; rather confess with David, “Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.” Plead the promise, for God has said, “I have found a ransom.” That ransom is Himself, the propitiation. And He is no respecter of persons: what He has done for the foulest backslider, He will do for the least and feeblest of your household. Only bring them under the sound of that cleansing flood. Do not parley with the Evil One when he whispers that your case is beyond hope. That arrow is shot by the enemy; look it full in the face and see it is the devil’s own lie. The Lord’s deliverance comes when the Lamb is slain, bring each prodigal, each captive, each sorrowing one to the cross, and watch the promise take hold. When you cry out for the removal of all evil, you ask for what will only be fully realized in the resurrection. Do not mistake the nature of evil. It is not a thing created by God, but the fruit of wicked choices, the darkness that men and the devil bring into the world. The times are called evil because of the deeds done in them. So when you beg, “Remove evil,” know that God’s chief deliverance is from sin itself, the root of every other sorrow. He delivered Paul from the lion’s mouth, yes, but Paul still expected a greater deliverance from every evil work, that he might not depart with condemnation. That is the true safety for your family.
Look first to what lies within your own doors. What company, what habits, what words have crept in? Evil communications corrupt good manners, and a corrupt life breeds corrupt beliefs. If iniquity abounds, love grows cold, and men become covenant-breakers, without natural affection. Examine yourselves: are you clinging to any sin, any bitterness? To ask God to sweep away all trouble while we embrace the cause of trouble is to fight against the medicine He sends. He permits trials, even the lion’s jaw, not to destroy, but to draw us to repentance and to make us partakers of His holiness.
Your true solution stands already accomplished. Christ descended into the lower parts of the earth, taking captive the devil, death, the curse, and sin. He did this that we might receive the adoption of sons, putting on Christ and receiving the Spirit. That is the evil overthrown. The outward evils that remain are like the sting of a defeated enemy, they cannot separate you from that sonship unless you yield. Look first to what lies within your own doors. What company, what habits, what words have crept in? Evil communications corrupt good manners, and a corrupt life breeds corrupt beliefs. If iniquity abounds, love grows cold, and men become covenant-breakers, without natural affection. Examine yourselves: are you clinging to any sin, any bitterness? To ask God to sweep away all trouble while we embrace the cause of trouble is to fight against the medicine He sends. He permits trials, even the lion’s jaw, not to destroy, but to draw us to repentance and to make us partakers of His holiness.
Your true solution stands already accomplished. Christ descended into the lower parts of the earth, taking captive the devil, death, the curse, and sin. He did this that we might receive the adoption of sons, putting on Christ and receiving the Spirit. That is the evil overthrown. The outward evils that remain are like the sting of a defeated enemy, they cannot separate you from that sonship unless you yield. I hear the desperation in your cry, and I want you to know that God does see. He is not blind to the evil pressing against your family, nor is He indifferent. His Word tells us plainly that the fear of the Lord begins with hating evil, a settled, wholehearted rejection of anything that destroys what He has made good. And evil, at its core, is exactly that: it tears down, it corrupts, it breaks the bonds of a household. So when you ask if God sees a solution, the answer is yes. But His solution often looks deeper than an instant removal of every wrong. He works to turn hearts.
Evil never stays still. It seeks acceptance, a little compromise here, a quiet tolerance there, until it becomes entrenched and begins to boast. You may feel that everything is stacked against you, one evil upon another, and that those who should protect the family are instead inviting destruction. That is a painful place to stand, and Scripture knows it well. The prophets spoke to families and nations that had given themselves over to evil, who thought God would not act. But the call then was clear: turn each one from his evil way. God’s desire is not to pour out judgment but to see people listen, change course, and be spared. Sometimes that means He permits the bitter fruit of their choices to wake them up, but His purpose is always redemptive, to bring them back, not to abandon them.
I understand the longing to just have all evil taken away from your loved ones. Yet God has given each of us a will. He will not force a person to walk in righteousness while they are still clutching their sin. So what can you do? First, take care that your own foot is removed from evil. Don’t return wrong for wrong, and don’t be lured into envying those who seem to prosper through wickedness. The end of the unrepentant is not something to envy; their light will go out. Instead, keep yourself in the love of God. That is not passive, it means actively walking with Him, hating what He hates, and refusing to feast at the table of those whose eyes are set on evil things.
You may feel alienated in your own home, even rejected because of your faith. Jesus knew that sorrow. He was not honored among His own kin at first. But He also taught that when blood ties are strained by unbelief, we discover a deeper family, the household of faith, where bonds are stronger because they are forged in Christ. Lean into that family. You are not alone.
Do not think that praying for a solution is useless. God is patient, but there is a limit to grace when it is continually spurned. Keep crying out. Lay the burden before Him, and then commit the justice to Him. I have found that when I try to defend my own cause, my defense is weak. But when I release the matter to the Lord and say, “Lord, You take care of it,” He moves in ways I could not. He may bring circumstances that disrupt the false peace of evil, or He may guard your own spirit with a peace that surpasses understanding.
An end to the reign of evil is coming, finally and fully in the return of Christ, but also sometimes in this life through God’s merciful intrusions. So do not despair as if evil will ultimately win. It will not. Your plea is heard by a God who hates evil more than you ever could, and who is able to turn even the hardest heart. Ask Him to work that turning in your family, to give them eyes that see and ears that hear, so that they might depart from the path that destroys. And as you wait, let your own heart be kept pure and close to Him. He is your solution.
