Do not lose home

Elmaelierford

Disciple of Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray I do not loose my home I have been unemployed and accepted an offer but may loose my home from the time unemployed, I am so scared, Lord I am a hard worker and will work hard I do not want to loose my family’s home please

We hear your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your fears and burdens to our Heavenly Father. The anxiety of losing a home, especially one that shelters your family, is heavy, and we understand the weight of this trial. But we want to remind you that God is not a God of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). He sees your hard work, your diligence, and your heart, and He promises to never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

First, let us rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze you. Fear does not come from God, and it has no place in the life of a believer. Instead, we declare that God is your Provider, your Jehovah Jireh (Genesis 22:14), and He will make a way where there seems to be no way. We also encourage you to trust in His timing. The job offer you’ve accepted is a step in the right direction, and we believe God is opening doors for you even now. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We also want to gently remind you to bring every concern to God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the foundation of all hope and peace.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear child of Yours who is facing the fear of losing their home. Lord, You know the depths of their heart, their hard work, and their desire to provide for their family. We ask that You would calm their fears and replace them with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we declare that You are their Provider. You fed the Israelites in the wilderness, and You can surely provide for this family now. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and let Your favor rest upon them. Give them wisdom in managing their finances, and let Your provision come in ways they cannot even imagine. We rebuke the spirit of lack and declare that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Lord, we also pray for strength and endurance. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Surround them with Your presence, and let them feel Your love and assurance in this difficult time. Remind them that their worth is not found in their circumstances but in You, and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We also pray for their family. Let this trial draw them closer to You and to one another. Give them unity, patience, and grace as they navigate this season. Protect their hearts from bitterness or despair, and let them fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your promises. May this family experience Your provision, Your peace, and Your presence in powerful ways. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to stand on God’s promises. Write down Scriptures that speak to your situation and meditate on them daily. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. And remember, God is not just a last resort, He is your first and only hope. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will guide your steps. You are not alone in this. We are standing with you, believing God for a breakthrough.

We hear the exhaustion in your words, and we understand why you’re scared. You’ve worked hard, you’ve found a new job, and now you’re still staring at the possibility of losing the place your family calls home. That’s a heavy weight to carry, and it makes sense that fear feels right at the surface.

While you’re waiting for your first steady paychecks, one of the most helpful things you can do right now is to contact your lender or landlord directly. As hard as that conversation might feel, explaining that you have accepted a new offer and asking about any temporary forbearance, repayment plan, or grace period they can offer may create a little breathing room. Many lenders would rather work with someone who reaches out early than deal with a crisis later. You don’t have to figure this out alone, if someone you trust can help you make that call or research local assistance programs, let them.

Beyond the practical steps, it’s important to remember that your worth isn’t defined by a missed payment or a season of unemployment. The way you show up, work hard, and love your family matters, and that doesn’t change even when finances are tight. Many of us have walked through seasons where the numbers didn’t add up, and looking back, we often see that the moments we felt most out of control became the ground where God quietly proved himself faithful, not always by removing every consequence, but by walking closely with us through them.

We’re praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, you see this family and the home they’re fighting to keep. Calm their fear and give them steady, clear steps forward. Open doors for the right grace from lenders or others who can help. Sustain them until this new job provides what they need, and remind them in the waiting that they are held securely in your care. Amen.

You feel it in your bones tonight, don’t you? The long, sickening dread that after all the struggle, after the offered hand of a new job, the storm you’ve already weathered might still tear the roof from over your head. The weeks of unemployment have stacked like dark waves behind you, and now this last wave seems ready to break just as you glimpse the shore. You have been so brave, and so tired, and now your courage is soaking through. Let me sit with you in this for a moment. I know that fear.

But oh, child of God, do you not see? The Lord who stilled the sea is in the boat with you. He has not stepped out onto the shore and left you to steer through the breakers alone. The very thing that makes you feel so small, so powerless, that shaking sense of your own weakness, that is no disqualification for His help. It is the set table where He loves to feast His mercy. Did you ever hear Him speak to Jacob? “Fear not, thou worm.” A worm! What can a worm do but wriggle helpless when the spade turns it up? Yet to that worm the Holy One of Israel says, “I will help thee.” Not “I will despise thee,” not “I will lecture thee for thy little faith,” but “I will help thee.” He bends down to the powerless. He lifts the crushed. He makes the worm a new threshing instrument with sharp teeth, not by filling it with pride, but by filling it with His own mighty hand.

So take your fear and turn it inside out. Instead of letting it whisper to you that God has forgotten, let it remind you that now, at last, you are where the real help begins. When a man has nothing left of his own, he is ready for the “marvelous loving kindness” of God. Ordinary mercy is wonderful enough, that we breathe, that we have a crust to eat, but there are seasons when only the extraordinary will do. When the cupboard is bare and the creditor knocks and the day of grace has run out, then the Lord loves to spread a table in the wilderness. He is not limited to the common run of things. His arm is not shortened. He can make the little job you hold stretch like the widow’s oil, and He can keep the roof over your children’s heads in ways you have not dreamed of.

I am not going to scold you for your alarm. It is a bitter thing to face the loss of shelter for your family, and Jesus Himself knows what it is to have no place to lay His head. But I would gently lift your eyes from the threatened walls to the Father who built the house of this world and hung the stars in their places. Is He a householder who cannot be trusted to care for His own? Has He tenderly covered the birds with feathers, and will He leave your little ones to the cold? You are a hard worker, I hear that in your words, and the Lord who made you will not despise the work of His own hands. He gave you that job. He knew your need. And He who began a good work will not stop halfway.

Even if the very thing you dread should come, and I pray with you that it will not, yet still you would find that your true home is not made of beams and plaster. You have a chamber in the heart of God that no earthquake can shake, a dwelling in the secret place of the Most High. But I believe you will see His goodness in the land of the living. I believe He will quiet your heart tonight and give you sleep, and in the morning He will send some token for good. Stand still, and see the salvation of God.

Let us pray together now, just as you are.

Lord Jesus, You who did hold the wind and wave in Your command, look upon this dear soul who trembles beneath the cloud of losing home and shelter. You know the weary nights and the racing thoughts. You know the love that fears for a family under this roof. Speak Your “Fear not” into the depth of this heart. Let Your perfect love cast out the terror. Open a way where all seems shut. Provide what no hand but Yours can provide, and give steady peace while You work. In Your name, the name that is above every name, we rest. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
