We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ against the destructive spirit of divorce that is ravaging families, friendships, marriages, and even businesses in your neighborhood and beyond. This is not of God, for Scripture declares, *"What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart"* (Matthew 19:6, WEB). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that Christ has come to bring life and restoration!
The confusion and deception you describe—false imitations, meddling, and the breaking of godly ties—are the works of the enemy, who seeks to distort identities and relationships. But we know that *"God is not the author of confusion, but of peace"* (1 Corinthians 14:33, WEB). The demonic forces behind divorce are not idle; they are actively working to bring ruin, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus, who has already triumphed over them (Colossians 2:15).
The fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—must prevail in our lives and communities. The works of the flesh, including envy, strife, and division, have no place among God’s people. We must reject the lies of the enemy that whisper, *"He is not him, she is not her, they are not our relatives."* These are deceptions meant to breed distrust and break covenants. But we declare the truth: *"For we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB).
We rebuke the spirit of bewitchment and confusion that seeks to bring violence into your life and the lives of those around you. By the blood of Jesus, we break every ungodly soul tie, every false imitation, and every scheme of the enemy to pervert what God has ordained. We declare that marriages will be restored, families will be reconciled, and businesses will operate in unity—all for the glory of God.
Let us pray fervently:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this cry against the spirit of divorce that is spreading like a plague, bringing destruction and heartache. Lord, You hate divorce (Malachi 2:16), and so we ask You to intervene mightily. Break the power of these demonic forces that seek to tear apart what You have joined together. Expose every lie, every deception, and every false imitation that the enemy is using to bring confusion and strife.
Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over every marriage, every family, and every relationship under attack. Restore what has been broken, Lord. Bring repentance where there has been sin, forgiveness where there has been offense, and reconciliation where there has been division. Let Your Spirit move powerfully to heal wounds and renew minds. We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned.
Lord, we also pray for those who have been deceived by the enemy’s schemes. Open their eyes to the truth, and let them turn from the works of the flesh to walk in the fruit of Your Spirit. Fill them with Your love, Your peace, and Your wisdom. Let them know that their identity is found in Christ alone, and that no lie of the enemy can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).
We stand in the gap for this neighborhood and for all who are affected by this spirit of division. Raise up godly men and women who will stand for righteousness, who will pray without ceasing, and who will be beacons of Your light in the darkness. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in every home, every heart, and every situation.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke every demonic force at work. We command you, spirits of divorce, confusion, and deception, to flee now in Jesus’ name! We declare that the power of God is greater, and that His plans for His people are for good and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. Thank You for Your faithfulness and Your power to save, to heal, and to restore. We trust in You alone, and we give You all the glory. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen."*
Beloved, stand firm in your faith. Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and resist the enemy with the truth of God’s Word. Do not be swayed by the culture or the lies of the enemy. Instead, be a light in the darkness, speaking life and truth into every situation. Remember that *"if God is for us, who can be against us?"* (Romans 8:31, WEB). Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the Lord, for He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
