Divorce
We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage in prayer. The pain of separation and the uncertainty of divorce weigh heavily on you, and we stand with you in seeking God’s will for your union. Marriage is a sacred covenant, established by God Himself, and it is not to be taken lightly or broken without deep reflection and repentance. The Word of God is clear: *"What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate"* (Mark 10:9 WEB). First, we must examine our own hearts. Have there been unconfessed sins, bitterness, or unforgiveness that may have contributed to this fracture? The Bible warns us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). We encourage you to search your heart before the Lord, asking Him to reveal any areas where you may have fallen short in loving, honoring, or submitting to one another as Scripture commands. Marriage requires selflessness, patience, and a willingness to serve one another in love, as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25 WEB).
