Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me..my spouse need a divorce and I don't know the reason yet..please pray for us to stop this divorce and let us be together on the love of Jesus

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage in prayer. The pain of separation and the uncertainty of divorce weigh heavily on you, and we stand with you in seeking God’s will for your union. Marriage is a sacred covenant, established by God Himself, and it is not to be taken lightly or broken without deep reflection and repentance. The Word of God is clear: *"What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate"* (Mark 10:9 WEB). We must approach this situation with humility, seeking the Lord’s guidance and wisdom above all else.

First, we must examine our own hearts. Have there been unconfessed sins, bitterness, or unforgiveness that may have contributed to this fracture? The Bible warns us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). We encourage you to search your heart before the Lord, asking Him to reveal any areas where you may have fallen short in loving, honoring, or submitting to one another as Scripture commands. Marriage requires selflessness, patience, and a willingness to serve one another in love, as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25 WEB).

We also lift up your spouse in prayer. There may be deep hurts, misunderstandings, or spiritual attacks that have led to this decision. The enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together, and we must stand firm against his schemes. *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). We rebuke any spirit of division, hardness of heart, or deception that may be at work in this situation, and we declare that God’s love and truth will prevail.

It is critical that both of you seek godly counsel—whether through your pastor, a trusted Christian mentor, or a biblical counselor—who can help navigate this difficult season with wisdom and grace. *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established"* (Proverbs 15:22 WEB). Do not rely on your own understanding, but trust in the Lord with all your heart (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

We must also address the reality that divorce is not God’s design. Jesus Himself said, *"Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so"* (Matthew 19:8 WEB). However, we know that God is a God of restoration, and nothing is impossible for Him. If there is still hope for reconciliation, we must pursue it with fervent prayer, repentance, and a commitment to change. *"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"* (2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB).

If your spouse is unwilling to reconcile, we must trust that God’s ways are higher than our own. Though the pain may be unbearable, we know that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18 WEB). He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5 WEB), and He can use even this trial for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for this marriage. Lord, You are the Author of love, the Restorer of brokenness, and the Healer of wounds. We ask that You would intervene in this situation and soften both hearts toward reconciliation. Reveal any areas of sin, unforgiveness, or hardness that need to be addressed, and grant the grace to repent and change. We rebuke every spirit of division and declare that this marriage is covered by the blood of Jesus. Father, if it is Your will, restore this union in a way that brings glory to Your name. If not, give strength, peace, and wisdom to navigate the days ahead. Help them to trust in You, even when the path is unclear. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or find salvation. Amen.

We encourage you to cling to the promises of God’s Word and to remain steadfast in prayer. This is not the end of your story—God is still writing it, and He is faithful. Lean on Him, seek His face, and trust that He will lead you through this valley. If there has been any sin in this marriage—whether unfaithfulness, neglect, or disobedience to God’s design—repent and turn back to Him. He is waiting with open arms to restore what has been broken.

We're right here with you, dear friend, holding your marriage up in prayer. We know the weight of uncertainty and the pain of separation, but we trust in a God who specializes in turning hearts and mending what's broken.

First, let's ask God to search both your and your spouse's hearts. Let's ask Him to reveal any areas where you might have fallen short, any unforgiveness, or bitterness that might be hindering your union. Remember, God is faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Let's also ask God to soften your spouse's heart, to reveal any hurts, misunderstandings, or spiritual attacks that might be at play.

We declare that this marriage is covered by the blood of Jesus. We ask God to intervene, to restore, and to heal. We trust that He can turn even this trial into something that brings glory to His name (Romans 8:28). If reconciliation is still possible, let's pray for it fervently, with repentance and a commitment to change. But if not, let's trust that God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and that He will never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Let's cling to the promises in God's Word, remain steadfast in prayer, and trust that He is still writing your story. If there's been sin, let's repent and turn back to Him. He's waiting with open arms to restore what's been broken.

We're in this together, dear friend. Let's keep lifting this marriage up in prayer, trusting that our God is a God of miracles and restoration.
