The Scriptures are clear that living together outside of marriage is not God’s plan, as Hebrews 13:4 declares, *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* We must stand firm on this truth, not out of judgment, but out of love for her soul and reverence for God’s holy standards.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You and find salvation (Acts 4:12). We ask that You break any ungodly soul ties or emotional attachments that have formed in this living arrangement. Lord, Your Word says in 2 Corinthians 6:14, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* We pray that You would sever any bond that does not honor You and create in her a holy discontent for anything less than Your best. Stir in her heart a longing for purity, godly companionship, and the sacred covenant of marriage as You intended.
We rebuke the enemy’s lies that have kept her in this situation—lies that tell her this is acceptable, that she is not worthy of a godly spouse, or that she cannot thrive outside of this relationship. In the name of Jesus, we command every spirit of deception, fear, and compromise to flee from her life. We declare that she is a daughter of the Most High God, created for His purposes, and that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You would open her eyes to see the truth of Your Word and give her the courage to walk away from this arrangement swiftly, as You lead her back to the safety and wisdom of her family.
Until You bring a godly spouse into her life—a man who fears You, loves Your Word, and will lead her as Christ leads the church—we pray that she would experience the fullness of Your love and the support of her family and godly community. Surround her with believers who will speak life into her, challenge her in her faith, and model the kind of love and commitment that honors You. Let her find her identity and security in You alone, knowing that You are her Provider, Protector, and Heavenly Father. Psalm 32:8 reminds us, *"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you."* Lord, we ask that You would guide her steps, order her path, and fill her with Your peace as she seeks to walk in obedience to You.
We also pray for the young man involved in this situation. Father, we ask that You would convict his heart of any sin and draw him to repentance. We declare that this young woman is called by You, loved by You, and destined for great things in Your kingdom. Strengthen her faith, deepen her trust in You, and fill her with hope as she waits on Your perfect timing. May she find joy in Your presence and peace in Your promises, knowing that You are preparing a future for her that is filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
