Thank you for your prayers. ###

We have heard your cry and we are lifting you and your two daughters before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name. Your heart has been shattered by abandonment and by the consequences that followed, and we grieve with you while we also bring the truth of God's Word to bring healing and direction.

We pray first for your divine physical and emotional healing. The Lord sees your broken heart and your wounded body from all you have endured with alcohol, hospitalization and the nursing home. He is the One who heals. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We ask Him to restore you completely, body, mind and spirit, and to give you strength to walk in sobriety and wholeness. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We must lovingly speak truth about what has happened. When your husband chose to ghost his family and disappear on purpose, he abandoned the marriage covenant that God calls holy. Genesis 2:24 says a man will leave his father and his mother, and will cling to his wife, and they will be one flesh. Malachi 2:16 says God hates divorce and abandonment. You shared that he has chosen an alternative lifestyle and you believe he is using drugs. If by alternative lifestyle you mean he has turned to homosexuality, we must say clearly that God calls homosexual behavior sin, as does drunkenness and drug abuse which defiles the body that is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Romans 1:26-27 speaks of this, and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 warns that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom, listing sexual immorality, adultery, homosexuality and drunkenness. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. We do not say this to condemn you or him, but to call all to repentance, for God offers mercy to all who turn to Him. We pray for your husband, that wherever he is, God would convict him, protect him from drugs and bring him to repentance and salvation, and if it is God’s will, to restoration or to godly accountability for what he has done.

We also must address the alcohol with love and firmness. You shared you drank too much, which led to being fired, arrested and hospitalized. The Word says in Ephesians 5:18 Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit. Proverbs 20:1 says Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise. Drunkenness is sin and it brings destruction, but there is forgiveness and power to overcome through Christ. We praise God that your daughters brought you home and that you are now under surveillance, which we understand as accountability. We encourage you to submit to that authority with humility, for Romans 13:1 says every person must be subject to the governing authorities, and to seek ongoing godly counsel, pastoral support, medical help and a Christ centered recovery fellowship so you do not return to that bondage. God can keep you sober one day at a time as you abide in Him.

We pray for your daughters. We lift up the daughter who lives near you and helps you, asking God to strengthen her, to refresh her as she honors you, and to bless her for her faithfulness. Exodus 20:12 promises blessing for honoring parents. We pray for your daughter who lives away, that God would guard her heart and keep her close to you and to Himself. We pray for the daughter who is engaged. We rejoice that she is looking toward marriage, which is God’s holy design for one man and one woman for life. Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled. We pray her courtship will be pure, keeping herself from fornication and sexual immorality before marriage, and that she and her fiance will build their union on Christ, seeking premarital counseling in the Word so their marriage will honor God.

We pray for your sister who has taken your car and access to the money your parents left. We do not know all the details, but whether she acted out of concern, control or selfishness, we pray God will bring truth and justice and reconciliation. Ephesians 4:32 says Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. We encourage you to seek wise, godly mediation and, if needed, lawful help to handle the inheritance rightly, while forgiving and not harboring bitterness. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We lift up your friends you named and your dear smart kind funny amazing friend whom you hurt. We ask God to heal that friendship, to give you humility to seek forgiveness where you have caused pain, and to restore what can be restored. James 5:16 says Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.

We notice your request asks for divine healing but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to gently remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. That is the foundation for all healing and hope.

Together we pray. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for our sister and her daughters. Lord, touch her body and heal her from the damage of alcohol and trauma, and heal her broken heart. Deliver her from any desire for drink and fill her with Your Holy Spirit. Comfort her daughters, protect them, draw them to Yourself and guide the engaged daughter into a pure and godly marriage. Convict and save her husband wherever he is, deliver him from drugs and from any homosexual sin, and bring him to repentance. Bring justice and peace regarding her sister, her car and her parents' inheritance. Bless and keep her friends, and bring healing and forgiveness to the friendship she hurt. Guard her under this time of surveillance, help her walk in obedience and humility, and provide for all her needs. Let Your peace guard her heart and let her know You will never leave her nor forsake her. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our Healer and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to stay in the Word daily, to stay connected to a Bible believing church, to remain accountable and sober, and to keep praying. God is able to restore what has been broken. Romans 8:28 says We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Keep trusting Him.

We read your request and we have been holding you and your daughters before the Lord. What a hard road you have walked, your husband disappearing, the shock of learning he is alive but choosing a different life, and then the weight of drinking, losing your job, being arrested and hospitalized, and now trying to rebuild at home under surveillance while also facing hurt within your own family over your car and your parents' provision. It makes sense that you feel devastated and in need of healing in both body and spirit.

We are grateful your daughters brought you home and that one daughter nearby is able to help day to day. That support matters so much right now.

As you continue to heal, we encourage you to stay closely connected to the helps God often uses alongside prayer. If you have a doctor, counselor, or recovery support person or group walking with you after the hospital and nursing home stay, please keep showing up with them and let them know honestly how you are doing. For the concerns about your car and access to money, it may help to talk with a trusted pastor and a reliable community resource who can help you understand your options and next steps clearly.

You mentioned hurting your friend, it shows humility that you named that. When you are ready, a simple, sincere apology without expecting a certain response can be a step toward peace.

Father, we lift ### and her daughters to You in Jesus' name. Bring steady physical and emotional healing, guard her sobriety and health, give wisdom for each practical decision ahead, protect her dignity and safety, and draw her and her daughters, her family and friends close to You. Lead her in Your will day by day. Amen.

Your great sorrow has been laid before the Lord, and we have carried you and your daughters before the throne of grace. What a tempest has passed over you, the vanishing of a husband, the blow of his chosen path, the snare of strong drink, the loss of work, the shame of arrest, the weakness of the body in hospital and nursing home, and now the straits of surveillance and the taking of your car and provision. The heart well nigh breaks under such a weight, and we hear in your cry the very thing the Psalmist meant when he said, He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds.

There is healing for such wounds, and it is to be found only in Christ. The Scripture says, The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Not only the fruit of Christ is healing, but the very leaves, the least things about Him, are full of healing virtue. A touch of His garment, a word from His lips, a look from His eyes has healed multitudes. That healing power is present still when Christ is preached, for faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. Jesus does not leave the soul in despair over its disease, He bears with Him power to heal, and this is His honor and renown.

And mark this, healing and pardon go together in the gospel. When Jesus healed the man sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins be forgiven thee. Pardon and healing were one. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and when the Lord comes to dwell with His people they have no need to say, I am sick, for their iniquity is forgiven. O you who are now sick unto death in body or in spirit, ask first to be forgiven, and healing will come from the pardoning hand. There is abundant healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, and it changes the life blood and makes the nature other than it was before.

Some of you have fallen grievously and think you cannot be restored. Remember Peter. He denied his Lord, and yet his story is not Peter's fall but Peter's restoration. That restoration was wrought by a look from the Lord which severed Peter from the crowd and broke his heart into repentance, and by the Lord's own prayer that his faith should not fail. If you have wandered into sin, even into drunkenness and despair, that same look of Christ can restore you. Tell the case to Jesus just as you would tell a physical case to a physician. He is ready to hear it all. He took the fevered hand and lifted her up, and there was a contact established. There is healing in His incarnation, His atonement, His living intercession. You must have this healing from His hand before you can stand and serve again, but when He heals, the desire to minister arises at once.

We pray for you now, that the Lord would grant you divine physical and emotional healing, that He would keep you from strong drink and give you a sound mind and a steadfast heart, that He would be your physician and your pardon. We pray for your two daughters, for the one who lives near you and has shown such faithful care in bringing you home, that the Lord would strengthen her and reward her kindness, and for your daughter far off who is engaged, that the Lord would guide her into a marriage that honors Him, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, kept pure and holy within its bonds, and that He would prepare her to build her house upon Christ.

We pray for your husband. We do not ask God to bless a path that departs from His holy will, for marriage is His ordinance and the body is His temple. We ask instead that God would have mercy upon him, that He would deliver him from drugs and from every chain of sin, that He would bring him to conviction and to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved. May the Lord pursue him with goodness and bring him to repentance and to healing.

We pray for your sister and for the matter of your car and the money your parents left. May the Lord provide for your daily bread, move hearts to justice and to honesty, and give you wise and godly counsel in these legal straits. May He raise up faithful friends and pastors near you to walk with you, to help you keep sober and accountable, and to guard your home.

We pray for your friends by name, and for your dear friend whom you say you hurt. May the Lord grant you grace to seek forgiveness where you have wounded another, as Christ has forgiven you, and may He heal that friendship according to His will and make all things work for good.

Take your burden daily to Christ. Confess your sin, trust His blood alone for pardon, seek His Spirit for power over temptation, and abide under His teaching where healing power is present. He who has begun to heal you will work that healing till you are without spot or wrinkle. May the Lord bless you and keep you, lift up the light of His countenance upon you, and give you peace in body and soul through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
