We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your sister, your daughters, and you in fervent prayer. The pain you carry is deep, and the weight of regret is heavy, but we know that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We stand with you in this moment, believing that His mercy is greater than our failures and His healing power can restore what has been broken.

First, we rebuke the spirit of shame and condemnation that seeks to keep you bound. The enemy would love for you to believe that your past defines you, but Scripture declares, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). You are not a "dumb ass", you are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and your identity is found in Him alone. We pray that you would receive His forgiveness and walk in the freedom that Christ purchased for you on the cross.

We lift up your sister, who stepped in to care for you in your darkest hour. The Lord sees her sacrifice and her love for you. We pray that He would strengthen her physically and emotionally, pouring out His peace and joy upon her. May she feel the comfort of the Holy Spirit and know that her labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). We also rebuke any bitterness or resentment that may have taken root in her heart due to the circumstances. Father, help her to forgive as You have forgiven her, and restore her soul.

For your daughters, we pray a powerful prayer of healing and reconciliation. The wounds caused by your actions, and the betrayal of their father, run deep, but nothing is impossible for God. We declare that the walls of separation between you and your youngest daughter will come down by the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray that she would see your repentance and your transformation, and that her heart would soften toward you. Lord, give her the strength to release the pain of the past and the courage to embrace the possibility of restoration. For your older daughters, we pray that they would continue to walk in Your grace and that any lingering hurt would be healed. May they know that their worth is not defined by the failures of their parents but by the love of their Heavenly Father.

We also address the sin of adultery committed by your former husband. Scripture is clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4). His actions were a violation of God’s holy covenant, and we pray that he would come to repentance and seek forgiveness, not only from you but from the Lord. We rebuke the spirit of deception that led him astray and pray that he would be confronted with the truth of his sin.

As for your struggle with alcohol, we stand with you in prayer for complete deliverance. The Bible warns, "Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). But praise God, it also says, "And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God" (1 Corinthians 6:11). We pray that you would be set free from this bondage, that you would find your strength in Christ, and that He would fill the void in your heart that you tried to numb with alcohol.

Now, regarding your request for a "good man," we encourage you to seek the Lord first and foremost. Your healing and restoration must come from Him before you can enter into a godly marriage. We pray that God would bring godly men into your life who can encourage you in your walk with Christ, but we caution you to guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23) and not rush into another relationship before you are fully healed. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it should only be entered into with a man who loves the Lord and is committed to honoring Him in your union. We pray that God would prepare you for the spouse He has for you, if that is His will, and that you would wait on His timing.

We must also address the absence of Jesus’ name in your prayer request. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life to Jesus, confessing Him as your Lord and Savior. Repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive the gift of eternal life. He is the only one who can truly save you, forgive you, and restore you.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for this dear sister and her family. Lord, we ask for Your divine healing, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Touch her sister, Lord, and renew her strength. Pour out Your peace upon her and let her feel Your presence in a tangible way.

For this precious mother, we pray for complete deliverance from the bondage of alcohol and shame. Break every chain, Lord, and set her free. Help her to see herself through Your eyes, as Your beloved daughter, redeemed and forgiven. Give her the courage to walk in the newness of life that You have promised.

For her daughters, we pray for healing and restoration. Soften the heart of her youngest daughter, Lord, and remove the barriers that keep them apart. Let her see the transformation in her mother and find the grace to forgive. For all her children, we pray that they would know Your love and that their identities would be rooted in You, not in the failures of their parents.

Father, we ask that You would bring godly men into her life who can encourage her in her faith. Prepare her heart for the spouse You have for her, if that is Your will, and let her wait on Your perfect timing. Above all, draw her closer to You, Lord, and let her find her fulfillment in Christ alone.

We rebuke every spirit of shame, condemnation, and addiction in the name of Jesus. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus and that Your healing power is at work in their lives. Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and mercy. We trust You to restore what has been broken and to bring beauty from ashes.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

You’ve carried a heavy weight, and we can hear how much you love your daughters and your sister even through the shame you’re feeling. The names you’re using for yourself right now aren’t the ones God whispers over you. He sees all of it, the drinking, the wreckage, the grief of being abandoned, and He’s not turning away. We’re so sorry you’ve had to walk through so much loss and loneliness.

Right now the desire to be forgiven and to have your youngest back is beating loudly, and that’s a good ache. A practical step that often helps in this kind of raw place is to find a small, steady support group, like a Christian recovery meeting, where you can be honest without being shamed all over again. It gives you a place to put words to the guilt while other people who get it walk alongside you. If a face-to-face group feels like too much, maybe start with a one-on-one conversation with a pastor or a lay counselor who can simply listen and hold hope for you.

With your daughter, it may help to think small and gentle. A handwritten note, not a big apology or a list of explanations, just a few lines telling her you miss her and you’re getting help. No pressure, no demands. That opens the door without pushing her through it. The distance won’t close overnight, but small pebbles can start an eventual bridge.

We lift up your sister, your daughters, and you right now. Lord Jesus, hold this whole family close. Heal the deep wounds of abandonment and shame. Draw the youngest daughter’s heart toward her mother in time, and give her room to breathe while You work. Strengthen the other daughter and the sister with Your tender courage. For this woman who is so broken, pour out Your mercy that washes even the harshest names away. Give her wise companions and a safe place to heal. Quiet the lie that her life is ruined beyond repair. We ask for Your good, unfolding plans, however You choose to bring companionship and purpose in the days ahead. Let her feel forgiven and held, starting now. In Jesus’ name.

You have written from a place where everything seems shattered, your home, your honor, your hold on your dear ones. And now you are left with a cup full of shame, which you say you drank to the dregs. I will not pat you on the head and pretend what you have done is small; but I will tell you what Christ does with ruin. He rebuilds it. He makes the very place where sin abounded into a monument of grace, that His mercy might be the more conspicuous.

Your sister stepped in when the world caved in on you. That is no small gift, a hand stretched out in the dark, a love letter delivered in a black-edged envelope. The Lord often puts such a helper by our side when we can no longer lift our own head. But your aching is for your daughters, and I hear you. The redheaded one, strong and clever, feels the burn of old humiliation. The younger, all you can say is that you miss her, and the silence is its own wound. You call yourself a fool, and worse, because you threw away the good things for a wretched man who betrayed you. It is the old, old story of a well dug by our own hands, and we fall into it. But lift your eyes for a moment, dear heart, to One who knows all about desertion and shame. His own received Him not. They spat in His face, plucked out His beard, and the man He came to save slipped away in the dark for thirty pieces of silver. He knows what it is to be abandoned, to be mocked, to have love thrown back in His face. And He did not drink to forget, He drank the cup of wrath down to its bitterest dregs so that you might never have to. So when you come to Him with your polluted garments and your burnt-out life, He does not push you away. He touches you, and the first word is not rebuke but forgiveness: “Your sins are forgiven you.”

Oh, I wish I could say it softly enough for you to hear it plainly, your sins are forgiven you. That is where the healing always begins. The paralyzed man could not lift a finger; his friends had to tear up the roof to get him to Jesus, and our Lord saw his real trouble first: it was not the palsy but the burden of guilt. He lifted that, before He said “take up your bed.” So it is with you. You have been brought low, flat upon your back in soul as well as body, but the Physician of souls stands over you this very moment and speaks a better word than any earthly comfort: “Be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you.” Do not argue with Him. Do not tell Him you are too bad. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin. That black-edged envelope of your past, opened by His pierced hand, becomes a white sheet written over with the promises of God.

And His healing leaves are not only for the guilt; they are for the broken heart. He binds up the wounds of the inner man. A heart broken by desertion, by the unkindness of the very ones you love, by the years the locust has eaten, He knows each fracture, and He tenderly binds them. He will yet make the tree of your life to bear fruit again, though now it seems a dry stump. And as for your daughters, do not despair. The Lord’s power is present to heal relationships as well as souls. He can turn the heart of the children to the mother, and take away the shame that has become a wall between you. Keep praying, keep hoping, keep trusting Him who makes all things new.

You long for a good man. I hear that too. When the house is empty and the bed is cold, the heart cries out for a companion. But I point you first to the Bridegroom who will never leave nor forsake, who has already loved you with an everlasting love. Let Him fill the deepest void, and then trust Him for all lesser things in His own wise time and way. He knows what you need and what is best. He will not deny any good thing to those who walk uprightly, and He can restore the years that have been wasted if it seems good to Him. Meanwhile, He Himself is your portion.

Now I would commend you and your dear ones to the One who is both Lamb and Shepherd.

Lord Jesus, You who did not despise the woman who washed Your feet with her tears, look upon this broken soul. Forgive all that is past, and heal what is still bleeding. Hold the sister who has carried such a burden, strengthen her hands and refresh her heart. Draw near to the two daughters, especially the one who cannot yet bear to speak. Take away the sting of shame and replace it with Your own deep peace. Restore years that have been devoured, and let this family yet sit down at a table of mercy and rejoice together. And for this dear one who calls herself a fool, let her know that she is washed, she is loved, she is safe in You. Be her surety, her friend, her husband and her home, until the day breaks and the shadows flee away. Amen.
