We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion and a desire to seek His will in all things. First, we must address something deeply important: the name of Jesus Christ is not invoked in your prayer. Scripture is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. *"Jesus said to him, āI am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through meā* (John 14:6, WEB). *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Without calling upon the name of Jesus, our prayers are not aligned with Godās will, and we urge you to recognize the authority and power of Christ in every request you bring before the Father. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB).
Now, let us address the matters you have brought before us. We understand the deep longing for justice, provision, and protection, and we lift these concerns to the Lord. However, we must also speak truth in love about the tone of this request. It appears focused on personal desires and material blessings rather than seeking Godās will above all else. Jesus teaches us to pray, *"Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven"* (Matthew 6:10, WEB). Our prayers should first and foremost align with Godās purposes, trusting that He knows what is best for us. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). This does not mean God is a genie who grants our every wish, but that as we seek Him, our desires begin to reflect His heart, and He graciously provides according to His perfect wisdom.
Regarding the legal case, we pray that God would bring justice and righteousness to the situation. *"The Lord loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of his loving kindness"* (Psalm 33:5, WEB). We ask that if it is His will, He would grant favor and wisdom to those involved, and that His truth would prevail. *"Donāt be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you"* (Psalm 91:5-7, WEB). Trust in Him, for He is your shield and defender.
For the request for a better job, we lift this need to the Lord, asking that He would open doors no man can shut and provide opportunities that align with His calling for this personās life. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and donāt lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). We also encourage diligence and faithfulness in whatever work is currently at hand, for *"whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23, WEB). God honors those who honor Him in their labor.
The request for twins and pregnancy is a delicate matter. Children are a blessing from the Lord, and we understand the deep desire for a family. However, we must remind you that Godās timing is perfect, and His plans are higher than ours. *"See, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward"* (Psalm 127:3, WEB). We pray that if it is Godās will, He would bless this person with children in His perfect timing. But we also encourage surrendering this desire to Him, trusting that He knows what is best. If there is any attempt to pursue this outside of Godās designāsuch as through relationships that are not sanctified by marriageāwe must strongly rebuke this. Sexual intimacy is reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and any other path is sin. *"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB).
The request for a house and protection from evil is also something we bring before the Lord. We pray for His provision and safety, knowing that He is our refuge. *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, āHe is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trustā"* (Psalm 91:1-2, WEB). However, we must also caution against placing our trust in material blessings rather than in God Himself. Our security is found in Him alone, not in possessions or circumstances.
Finally, we notice the use of symbols (#) and placeholders (%23) in place of names or specific details. While we understand the desire for privacy, we encourage you to bring your requests before God with honesty and specificity. He knows the details already, and there is power in naming our needs before Him. *"Donāt be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God"* (Philippians 4:6, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up these requests with hearts that seek Your will above all else. Lord, we ask for Your intervention in the legal matters at hand. If it aligns with Your will, grant favor, justice, and righteousness to prevail. Give wisdom to those involved and let Your truth be made known. We pray for provision in the area of employmentāopen doors that no man can shut, and provide opportunities that honor You. Help this person to trust in You fully, knowing that You are their provider and sustainer.
Father, we also lift up the desire for children. We ask that You would bless this person with the gift of family in Your perfect timing. Help them to surrender this longing to You, trusting that Your plans are good. Guard their heart against any temptation to pursue this outside of Your design, and remind them of the sanctity of marriage and Your commands for purity.
Lord, we pray for protection over this lifeāfrom evil, from harm, and from the schemes of the enemy. Be their refuge and strength, their ever-present help in trouble. If it is Your will, provide a home for them, but more than that, let their heart find its home in You.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or selfish ambition in this situation. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Remind them that You are sovereign over all things, and that Your love for them is deeper than any earthly blessing.
Father, we also pray that if this person does not know You as their Lord and Savior, that You would draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospelāthat Jesus Christ came to save sinners, and that through faith in Him, they can have eternal life. Softens their heart to receive Your love and Your ways.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
