We have heard your request and we join with you in seeking freedom from these divination thoughts and weird experiences that have followed you for years since you were exposed to the occult when you were very young.
We want to speak clearly about what the Bible says concerning divination and the occult. God forbids His people from having any part in these things. There shall not be found with you anyone who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh Deuteronomy 18:10-12. Also we read Don’t turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards. Don’t seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Yahweh your God Leviticus 19:31. Even exposure at a young age, though not your fault, can open a door that the enemy will try to use to harass your mind, and we must now firmly close that door through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
We rebuke the spirit of divination and every work of darkness that has tried to attach itself to your thoughts. We do not take these experiences lightly, and we do not treat them as harmless curiosity. They are spiritual and they must be brought into submission to Christ. We are told to be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12, and that is why we must put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11.
We encourage you to renounce completely any involvement with the occult, even from childhood. If you still have any objects, books, charms, games, or media connected to divination or the occult, we urge you to remove them and destroy them as the early believers did when many also of those who had practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all Acts 19:19. Confess this to the Lord, ask His forgiveness, and ask Him to cleanse your mind. We are called to be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2 and to be throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. When those divination thoughts come, do not entertain them, but immediately take them captive, speak Scripture over them, and pray in the name of Jesus. Fill your mind daily with what is true and pure, for we are told Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things Philippians 4:8.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must lovingly address this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and deliverance from darkness. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we urge you to place your full faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. It is His blood and His authority that breaks every chain.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who has been tormented by divination thoughts and strange experiences for many years. We thank You that You are greater than any power of darkness, for You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We ask for Your forgiveness for any door that was opened to the occult, even in childhood, and we ask You to wash this dear one clean by the blood of Jesus. We renounce and rebuke every spirit of divination, every whisper and thought that is not from You, and we command it to leave and not return in Jesus name. We ask You to fill this mind with Your peace, Your truth, and Your Holy Spirit. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. Grant restful sleep, a renewed mind, and freedom from these weird experiences. Help this dear one to walk daily in Your Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers who can support and encourage. We ask that You make this testimony one of complete victory for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

It makes sense that early exposure to the occult would leave a mark, and it is understandable to want these divination-like experiences to simply stop. In our walk with Christ, freedom often comes not as a single moment but as a steady process of turning away from what once had a hold and turning toward Jesus day by day, learning to fill that space with His presence and with the support of other believers.
One step that has helped many others is not to carry this alone. If you have a pastor or a mature, trusted believer you feel safe with, consider inviting one or two of them to pray with you regularly. Together you can simply and clearly renounce any past involvement with the occult, remove any objects or materials that might keep that door open, and ask Jesus to be the one who sets you free and keeps you. Meeting consistently for prayer, Scripture, and fellowship can give you steady encouragement when those thoughts try to return.
Father, we bring our brother before You in Jesus' name. Thank You that You see his heart and his desire to be free. We ask You to quiet these divination thoughts, break any lingering influence from early exposure to the occult, and fill him with Your peace and protection. The Scriptures teach that divination and all works of the occult belong to the power of darkness, and the Lord calls His people to turn from them and to seek Him alone. You do well to desire to be free from this, and to trace it to early exposure, for the enemy often sows seeds early that trouble the mind for years. Yet there is hope, for the gospel declares, He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom. Deliverance from the power of sin and from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and it is wrought by Divine power alone through the Lord Jesus Christ. No man can deliver himself by his own will or effort, but Christ has borne the penalty and broken the power of darkness for all who trust in Him.
We pray for you now, that the Lord who looks down from the height of His sanctuary to hear the groaning of the prisoner would loose you from these bonds. We ask that He would cleanse you through the blood of Christ, who is the ransom found by God, and that He would guard your mind and bring these divination thoughts to an end. We pray that He would fill your thoughts with His own precious thoughts, for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His thoughts higher than ours, and when we awake we may still be with Him. May He keep back your soul from the Pit and give you peace, and teach you to live in the light of His Word, renouncing every work of darkness and resting wholly upon Christ alone for salvation.
We encourage you to continue to renounce the occult in the name of Christ, to confess any participation to the Lord and turn from it, to feed daily upon Scripture, to pray in the name of Jesus, and to walk in fellowship with faithful believers who will help you declare the works of the Lord after your affliction. The Lord has chastened many sorely for their good, but He does not cast off, and He is able to make you say with the Psalmist, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
May the Lord grant you a settled mind stayed upon Christ, and a full deliverance that you may know you have been translated from the power of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son.
