Thank you for sharing this so honestly and for asking for prayer. Having strange experiences and persistent thoughts related to divination for many years is a heavy burden, especially when you trace it back to being exposed to occult things as a young child. God sees that history and He understands your thoughts even at their origin, where they begin in the mind and heart. Nothing about your struggle is hidden from Him, and there is nowhere you can go where His presence is not with you.
The Bible treats spirit forces as real and warns us not to treat them lightly. When a person dabbles in occult practices, even as a child without fully understanding, it can open a door to influences God never intended for you. There are conditions that open that door and there are conditions that close it. The good news is that Jesus Christ came to close that door completely and to bring you into a different condition entirely.
He came to redeem, which means to purchase you out of slavery. Before Christ we are slaves to sin and to the influences that come with it, but He gave Himself to redeem us from all iniquity. That redemption is both a rescue from the past and a cleansing for the present. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin, and when you come to Him there is a complete washing, a total removal of the past. Scripture says as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our sins from us. If you go north you eventually go south when you pass the pole, but east and west never meet. That is how fully God separates your sin from you when you are in Christ.
He saves us not because of our own goodness but because of His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit. That means He washes away the old life that was disobedient and driven by many desires, and He makes you a new person in Christ. Then His Spirit begins to renew and transform you day by day into what He wants you to be. Part of that renewal is being delivered from the guilt of the past that often plagues a person and keeps them from entering into the full victory and fullness of life God desires for you.
God's thoughts toward you in Christ are not evil but good. They are thoughts of peace, to give you a hopeful future. His thoughts concerning you are precious and more numerous than the sand of the sea, and He is thinking about you constantly for your good. His ways and thoughts are higher than ours as the heavens are higher than the earth, because He knows the end from the beginning. You can trust His way of deliverance even when you do not fully understand it. And you have a living hope because Jesus Christ rose from the dead. That resurrection confirms that His redemption is real and that your hope is alive.
If you have not already done so, bring this specifically to the Lord in repentance and faith. Tell Him you renounce any involvement with divination and the occult, even that early exposure, and you ask Him to close every door that was opened. Ask Him to forgive and cleanse you through the blood of Jesus, to fill you with His Holy Spirit, and to renew your mind. Then walk in the new life He gives, different from the world not in outward oddness but in your whole way of living, as one who belongs to Him and is eager to do what is good. When those old thoughts come, you can answer them with what God says is true about you in Christ.
Praying for you now that the Lord will end these strange experiences and divination related thoughts, that He will wash you and establish you in His peace, that He will fill you with His Spirit and keep you in His presence, and that you will know deeply how completely He has forgiven and set you apart for Himself through Jesus Christ.
