We come before the throne of grace with this request, lifting up your workplace concerns to the Lord, who is our ultimate Provider and Protector. First, we want to acknowledge that you have rightly turned to Jesus Christ in prayer, and it is only through His name that we can approach the Father with confidence. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We are grateful that you have called upon the name of the Lord, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Father God, we ask that You grant discernment to this department head, just as Solomon prayed for wisdom to lead Your people (1 Kings 3:9). Whisper to her heart, Lord, and let Your Spirit guide her decisions so that she may see what brings order, truth, and clarity. We pray that she would be sensitive to Your leading, recognizing the difference between what is of You and what is not. "For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding" (Proverbs 2:6).
We also lift up the situation with this coworker, Lord. You know the confusion and exhaustion that this toxicity has caused, and we ask that You expose any unrighteousness or deceit in this situation. Protect this sister in Christ from the effects of this toxicity—guard her work, her focus, and her peace. As it says in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray that You would remove any distractions or burdens that are not of You, allowing her to finish her tasks well and without stress.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of discord, dishonesty, or confusion in this workplace. We declare that Your wisdom will prevail, bringing harmony, honesty, and understanding. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). We pray that the department head would recognize the right instructions and that this workplace would be a place where Your will is done.
Father, we also encourage this sister to continue entrusting this situation to You, knowing that You are her Defender. "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22). We pray that she would find rest in You, even amid chaos, and that her trust in You would grow stronger each day.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would bring unity to this workplace, that all may work together for Your glory. May Your love and truth reign in every interaction, and may this sister be a light for You in her workplace. "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
