We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up your academic journey and the important work you are undertaking. Father God, we ask that You grant wisdom, clarity, and favor in every step of this dissertation process. We pray that your chair would receive your topic and thesis with understanding and approval, recognizing the thought and care you have put into your work. May she read your outline and examples with discernment and grant her blessing so that you may move forward with confidence.
Lord, we also lift up the committee member you mentioned—may they accept the invitation to join your committee, and may their involvement bring valuable insight and support to your project. We ask that the entire process of writing your dissertation would be smooth, free from unnecessary obstacles, and filled with Your peace. May you find joy in the work, knowing that You are equipping you for this task.
We pray especially for your comprehensive exams and proposal defense. Father, we ask that You sharpen your mind, calm any anxiety, and help you recall all that you have learned. May your answers be clear, your reasoning sound, and your presentation confident. Let Your favor rest upon you in these moments, and may the outcome bring glory to Your name.
We also want to encourage you to seek the Lord throughout this process. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Academic success is important, but it is even more vital that we walk in obedience to God’s will and trust in His timing.
Finally, we want to gently remind you that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray.
Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. May Your will be done in every aspect of this dissertation journey. Strengthen this dear one, grant them perseverance, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind. We trust You to lead and guide them to success that honors You. Amen.
