We join with you in fervent prayer against dissension, for it grieves the heart of God when His children are divided. The Scriptures warn us clearly, "Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them" (Romans 16:17). Dissension does not come from the Spirit of God but from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy the unity of the body of Christ. We must stand firm against this tactic of the devil, for Jesus prayed that we would be one, just as He and the Father are one (John 17:21).
We rebuke every principality and power of darkness that seeks to sow strife, confusion, and division in the church and in the world. The Word declares, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). We take up the full armor of God, standing firm in faith, and we command every spirit of division to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against the body of Christ shall prosper, for we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37).
Father, we ask for Your glory to fill the earth as the waters cover the sea. Let Your favor rest upon Your people, and let miracles, blessings, and Your abounding glory be poured out without measure. We pray for unity in the church, that believers would be knit together in love, with all humility and gentleness, bearing with one another in patience (Ephesians 4:2). Let the world see our love for one another and know that we are Your disciples (John 13:35). We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church, and we stand in agreement that Your kingdom will come and Your will will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Lord, we ask that You expose and dismantle every scheme of the enemy designed to bring division. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of Your people (Philippians 4:7). We pray for pastors, leaders, and believers everywhere to walk in wisdom, speaking the truth in love, and building one another up in the most holy faith (Ephesians 4:15-16). May Your Holy Spirit bring conviction where there is sin, repentance where there is hardness of heart, and reconciliation where there is brokenness.
We also lift up those outside the church who are caught in the midst of dissension and strife. Father, draw them to Yourself, that they may know the peace that only comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ. For there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that hearts would be softened, minds would be renewed, and lives would be transformed by the power of the gospel.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11). Let Your glory cover the earth, and let Your church arise in unity, power, and love. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
