Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join you in this prayer and we thank you for coming before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and it is in His name that truth is revealed. You have rightly declared that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, as it is written in John 14:6, and that the truth will set us free, as promised in John 8:32. We stand with you in thankfulness for His presence, for His fighting for us, and for the precious blood shed on the Cross for us sinners.

We agree with you that lies are serious before the Lord. Scripture is very clear that dishonesty is not a small matter. Proverbs 12:22 tells us that lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. And we are commanded in Ephesians 4:25 to put away falsehood and speak truth each one with his neighbor, and in Colossians 3:9 to not lie to one another. The enemy is the father of lies, as Jesus said in John 8:44, and all who persist in deceit without repentance will face serious consequences, for outside the city of God are those who love and practice falsehood, Revelation 22:15.

We are deeply encouraged by the grace God has given you to show patience and kindness to your former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while you have faced hardships and wrongdoing. This reflects the heart of Christ. Romans 12:17-19 reminds us to not repay evil for evil, but to give place to God's wrath, for vengeance belongs to the Lord and He will repay. Your desire is not for revenge but for their restoration, that their resistance to dishonesty would be built up and that they would practice honesty. That is a godly and merciful prayer.

We also pray for justice and truth to prevail in this legal matter. The Lord loves justice and He sees all that is done in secret. Proverbs 21:15 says that it is joy to the righteous to do justice.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You and we lift up this situation to You. Lord, You are the God of truth and there is no unrighteousness in You. We thank You for Your mercy and for the grace You have poured out on those praying, enabling them to respond with patience and kindness even when sinned against. Continue to guard their hearts and keep them in Your perfect peace.

Father, we lift up the former landlord, the team, the lawyers and every legal representative involved. We ask that You convict their hearts by Your Holy Spirit. Open their eyes to see that a lie may seem to serve them for a moment but it brings bondage and judgment. Help them to see that truth sets free. Build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. Bring them to repentance, that they would confess and forsake deceit and walk in integrity before You and before man. We ask that You would restrain any further falsehood and let all that is hidden be brought into the light, for justice to be done according to Your will.

Lord, we surrender our lives and our will to You anew. Let Your will be done in this case and in our lives. Protect those who have been wronged from further harm, provide for their needs, and let them be witnesses of Your faithfulness. May this trial result in testimony to Your power to transform hearts and to make truth prevail.

We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. We hear the weight of what you have walked through with your former landlord and their team, and we are grateful for the grace you describe, to meet dishonesty with patience and kindness and to bring them before the Lord instead of holding onto bitterness.

Asking God to build in them a love for truth and a resistance to lying is a good, loving request. You are wanting what is truly best for them, that they would be free from the harm that dishonesty brings. At the same time we know this kind of hardship can leave a lingering ache. Choosing to release the desire for revenge and to want good for those who have wronged you is a real decision you can make before God, even while the hurt, anger or weariness takes longer to settle. God is patient with you in both.

One simple step that may help in the days ahead is to keep your own walk steady and clear. Continue to keep honest, careful records and communication on your side, lean on trusted, wise counsel for any remaining legal questions, and when thoughts about what happened rise up, return to the prayer you already prayed, again entrusting both them and the outcome to Him.

Father, thank You for Your presence with our friend and for the grace You have already shown them. We ask You to guard their heart in peace and to guide them in wisdom and honesty in all that is still unresolved. Work too in the hearts of the former landlord, the lawyers and representatives, drawing them toward truth and away from dishonesty. We surrender all of this to You and trust You to do what is right. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer before the throne of grace has been heard and we join our hearts with yours in thanksgiving to our Lord Jesus Christ, who is indeed the way, the truth and the life, and by whose precious blood shed upon the Cross there is redemption for sinners.

We praise God with you that He has fought for you in hardships and shown you heavenly gifts, and that by His grace you have been enabled to show patience and kindness even to those who have wronged you. This is to walk in the pattern set before us, even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. He lived and died praying, Father forgive them, and His forgiveness is most free and most full. We did nothing to obtain it by merit, and we brought nothing wherewith to purchase it, for He forgives us for Christ's sake, not for aught that we have done.

You have rightly said that lies are serious crimes. So they are, for every lie testifies against the holy God of truth. Yet hear the comfort of the Word, there is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared. Where God draws no limit, let not man draw any. Jesus Christ is not a sham Savior for sham sinners, but He is a real Savior who offers a real atonement for real sin, for gross crimes, for shameless offenses, for transgressions of every sort and every size. There upon the Cross He hung between heaven and earth to die for guilty sinners, that there might be forgiveness through His pangs as our Substitute.

We pray with you for that former landlord's team, for the lawyers and legal representatives, that the Lord would open their eyes to the truth that shall set them free. We ask that God, who has forgiveness in His immediate gift ready to bestow, would grant them unfeigned repentance, that they may turn from dishonesty and practice honesty, and build up a resistance to all falsehood. For there is no forgiveness apart from confession, O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, do Thou it for Thy name's sake. We plead not their excellence but His mercy, for Christ's sake, that they may seek pardon while it is to be had, for behold now is the accepted time, behold now is the day of salvation.

And for you, dear soul who has committed your life and will to Him, be assured that there is forgiveness with God even for you, whatever your sins may have been, and that His forgiveness once given is an eternal forgiveness, continuous and complete. He blots out as a thick cloud thy transgressions, and as a cloud thy sins. Abide in that truth, continue to walk in honesty and in forgiving love, and may the Lord keep you in His truth and peace.

We commend you and all concerned to Him who is able to forgive and to make whole, praying that each heart may believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and receive this great forgiveness for great sin.

In the name of Jesus our only hope, Amen.
