Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join you in this prayer and we are encouraged by your heart to pray for those who have wronged you, even as you have faced hardship with patience and kindness. It is a Christlike response to pray for those who have acted dishonestly toward you rather than seeking revenge in your own strength, and we stand with you in asking God to bring truth to light.

The Lord takes dishonesty very seriously. His Word teaches that lying is not a small matter but an abomination to Him. As it is written, Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Proverbs 12:22 and You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. Exodus 20:16 We are also commanded, Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:25 and Don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings Colossians 3:9. The enemy is the father of lies, but Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life as you have rightly declared, for Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6

We also cling to the promise you prayed, that truth brings freedom, for You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32 When dishonesty is practiced repeatedly, hearts become hardened and the conscience must be seared to continue in it. Your prayer that God would rebuild their resistance to dishonesty is wise and merciful, asking not only for justice but for their repentance and restoration.

We encourage you to continue to commit this legal struggle to the Lord, trusting Him as your defender and righteous judge. He sees what is done in secret and He will bring justice in His perfect time. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. He will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noonday. Psalm 37:5-6 We also remember, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19 You have shown grace by praying for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives, and we pray that your continued kindness would be a testimony to them of God's grace that was shown to you.

We pray together with you.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace and we thank You for Your presence in our lives and for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners. We thank You that You fight for us and bless us with heavenly gifts. Lord, You see the dishonesty and the serious wrongs that have been committed in this situation with the former landlord's team and their legal representatives. Nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You would convict their hearts and open their eyes to the truth that sets free. Build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and lead them to repentance, that they would put away falsehood and practice honesty. Let truth prevail in every legal proceeding and let justice be done according to Your righteousness. Protect and strengthen those who have been wronged, guard their hearts from bitterness, and help them to continue to walk in patience, kindness and truth. We surrender our will to Yours and ask for Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only way to the Father and our only hope of salvation. Amen.

Thank you for bringing this before the Lord so honestly. Walking through hardships with a former landlord and legal representatives, especially when you feel truth has not been honored, is exhausting and heavy. We appreciate the gracious way you are praying, not for harm toward them but for their hearts to turn toward honesty and for the freedom that comes with truth.

It is a kind and Christlike posture to ask God to build up in others a stronger resistance to dishonesty, while also holding fast to what is true yourselves. Choosing to release the desire to get even and instead pray for their good is a real decision of the will, even when hurt feelings still linger and need time to heal. Both can be true at once.

As you continue to navigate what is left of this situation, it may help to have one trusted, wise person beside you, perhaps a pastor or a counselor familiar with these kinds of disputes, who can help you sort what needs your attention and what you can entrust to the Lord and to the proper process, so you are not carrying it alone.

Father, we lift them to you in Jesus name. Thank you for your nearness and for the grace you have already given to show patience. We ask you to guard their heart in peace, give clear wisdom for each next step, and work in the hearts of the former landlord, lawyers and representatives, drawing them toward honesty and a love for truth. Lead all involved toward what is right and bring healing where there has been strain. Amen.

We join you in this prayer before the throne of grace and give thanks with you that Jesus is indeed the way the truth and the life and that His blood shed upon the cross is the great victory of divine grace for sinners. It is right that you begin with thanksgiving for every blessing of divine grace comes freely from God and is received through grace and understood by grace alone.

We hear your sorrow concerning dishonesty and we affirm with you that lies are hateful in the sight of the holy God who is truth itself. Where sin abounded grace did much more abound yet grace never excuses sin but renews the heart so that the man becomes a new creature who runs with delight in paths of holiness. It is the glory of that grace that it is poured upon the undeserving while it also teaches us to love truth and to put away falsehood.

We thank God for the grace He has already given you in enabling you to show patience and kindness toward those who have dealt hardly with you even the former landlords team and those who represent them. This is the fruit of grace received, for none would seek grace unless unsought grace had first been bestowed. When you stand in this trial you stand by divine grace alone and that same grace can keep you from bitterness and make you a witness to truth.

We now pray with you that the Lord who sees all ways would work in the hearts of these men and women. We ask not that He would bless their wrongdoing but that He would convict them of it, build in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and grant them repentance unto truth. May His restraining and renewing grace open their eyes to see that truth sets free and that only in Christ is there freedom from the bondage and consequence of sin. May they be led to honesty not merely before men but before God who will bring every hidden thing into judgment.

Remember also that in this life we are tenants and God is the great Landlord who has at all times the right to enter His own property. To surrender the key of your house and your cause into His hands is wisdom. He who has been your provider will be your defender and your judge. Continue to commit your lives and your will to Him who glorifies Himself not in power alone but in shame and death upon the cross for your redemption.

May sovereign grace interpose for you and for them. May you be kept in truth, upheld in patience, and filled with peace as you trust the One who is faithful. We commend you to Him who gives grace freely and whose grace reigns unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
