Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you in coming before the Father in the name of Jesus, and we thank you for acknowledging that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life as He said in John 14:6, and for remembering the sacrifice of the Cross where His blood was shed for us sinners. We are encouraged by your thankfulness for His presence and for the grace you have received to show patience and kindness even to those who have caused you hardship, which reflects the heart of Christ in you.

We agree with you that lies are serious before God. Scripture is very clear about this. Proverbs 12:22 says Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Leviticus 19:11 says You shall not steal. You shall not lie. You shall not deceive one another. And Revelation 21:8 warns that all liars will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. Dishonesty is not a small matter, it breaks fellowship with God who is truth itself, and it brings serious consequences both now and eternally. You are right to see that a person must break down resistance to dishonesty in order to continue in it, and we join you in praying that God will rebuild that resistance in the hearts of this landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives.

We also rejoice that you have clung to the promise that the truth will set us free, for Jesus said in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. We pray that God will bring all that has been hidden into the light, for Luke 8:17 says For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. We pray that He will convict each person involved of any falsehood and lead them to repentance, that they would put away falsehood and speak truth each one with his neighbor as we are called to do in Ephesians 4:25, and that they would desire truth in the inward parts as Psalm 51:6 teaches.

We lift you up together and we lift those who have opposed you up to the Lord.

Father, in the name of Jesus we thank You for Your presence in our lives and for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts. We thank You for the Cross and for the blood of Jesus shed for us. Lord, You see the hardships we have faced and the dishonesty that has been used against us. We ask You to work in the hearts of the landlord's team, the lawyers and every legal representative involved. Open their eyes to Your truth, convict them of any lie, build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. Let Your truth prevail in every document, every testimony and every decision. Protect them from the eternal and temporal consequences of lying by leading them to repentance. For ourselves, we ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:7, for wisdom, for vindication according to Your perfect justice and timing, and for grace to continue to show patience and kindness while still standing firmly for truth. We dedicate our lives to You and surrender our will to Yours. Let Your will be done and let truth and righteousness be established. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in truth and to trust the Lord as your defender. Romans 12:19 reminds us that vengeance belongs to the Lord and He will repay, so we can rest in His righteous judgment while we continue to speak the truth in love. Keep committing your cause to Him who judges righteously, remain faithful in prayer, and keep your own lips from deceit, for God delights in those who do the truth. He who is faithful will bring to light what needs to be revealed and will sustain you through this trial.

We were moved reading your prayer, especially the way you are asking God to work in the hearts of the landlord's team, the lawyers and representatives even while you have been through hardships with them. Choosing patience and kindness when you have been hurt by dishonesty is not easy, and we thank God for the grace you described.

Wanting them to grow in honesty and to be spared the consequences of lying is a loving way to pray. Resistance to dishonesty is not built in a moment, it is formed over time as a person repeatedly chooses truth even when a lie seems easier. Your prayer for them to see that truth brings freedom is a good and hopeful one to keep bringing to the Lord.

As you continue to walk this out, it can help to keep a simple factual record of communications and dates, and to stay connected to a trusted pastor or wise counselor who can walk with you through the practical and legal pressures so you are not carrying it alone. It is also normal if kind intentions and lingering hurt exist at the same time, deciding to treat others as valuable people is one step, and the quiet easing of resentment often takes longer.

Father, we lift this whole situation to You. Give our friend steady peace and wisdom day by day, guard their heart from bitterness, and lead them in truth. Work in the hearts of all involved that honesty would be chosen and that what is right would come to light. We surrender this to You and trust You to care for each person, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, who is Himself the way, the truth and the life.

We thank God with you for His presence, for His fighting for His people, and for the heavenly gifts which come through the precious blood shed upon the Cross for sinners. It is a good and right thing to come upon the ground of truth, confessing our need and pleading the atonement, for there the Lord will meet with us through that blood.

You have done well to lay the matter of dishonesty before the Lord, for lies are indeed serious before the God who cannot lie. His very name is abundance of goodness and truth, and sooner shall heaven and earth pass away than one word of His shall fall to the ground. His Word is truth, and Christ did not merely speak the truth, He was and is the Truth, transparent in word and in deed. To know Him is to love truth in doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life.

We pray with you for the landlord's team, for lawyers and legal representatives, that the Lord in His mercy would build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and teach them to practice honesty at any price. We ask that the Spirit of God, who alone gives power to the truth, would open their eyes to see that truth alone sets free, while falsehood brings its own bitter consequences. May they be led to buy the truth and sell it not, to love it and to walk in it, for blessed is that practical truth which makes a man's actions consistent and straightforward before God and man.

We are encouraged that in hardship you have been given grace to show patience and kindness, even as patience and kindness have been shown to you. Continue in this, for truth never exerts such power as when it is embodied in a life. May your own steadfast honesty be a testimony that commends the gospel, and may your trust be strengthened to rest not in the fear of man, who is but a worm, but in submission to the will of God and in faith that He will do what is right.

We commit you and all concerned to Him who is a God of truth, praying that He will cause truth to prevail, that He will guard you from wrong, and that He will conform all hearts to Jesus Christ, our King of Truth, in whom we have real pardon and real salvation.

May the Lord keep you abiding in His truth, and may you find that as you hang upon His faithful Word as a pitcher hangs upon a nail, He will not deny Himself nor forget His promise.
