Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in this prayer and we are deeply encouraged by the heart of grace and truth in your words. You have come before the Father in the right way, through the name of Jesus, and you have rightly declared that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, for as He said, John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We thank God with you for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the precious blood shed on the cross for us sinners, without which none of us could stand before a holy God.

We agree with you that lies are indeed serious before the Lord. Scripture is very clear that dishonesty is not a small matter but an abomination to God. Proverbs 12:22 says Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who deal truly are his delight. And we are warned in Revelation 21:8 that all liars will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. We also hear your heart for those who have wronged you, the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives. It would be natural to pray only for judgment, but you have shown the Spirit of Christ by praying for their resistance to dishonesty to be built up and for them to practice honesty. This reflects the command in Ephesians 4:25, Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another, and Colossians 3:9, Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings.

We love that you prayed that the truth will set them free, for Jesus promised in John 8:32, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. Dishonesty may seem to bring advantage for a time, but the Lord tells us Luke 8:17, For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed; nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. Their lies will find them out unless they repent, and we pray they do repent before they suffer both earthly and eternal consequences.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace. We thank You that You are a God of truth and that Your Son is the Truth. We thank You for Your presence, for fighting for us, and for the gift of salvation through the blood of Jesus. Lord, You see the hardships we have faced and the dishonesty we have endured from this landlord's team and their legal representatives. We ask You to work in their hearts, to convict them of sin, to break the pattern of lying and to build in them a holy resistance to dishonesty. Open their eyes to see that lying is a serious crime before You and before man, and grant them repentance that leads to truthfulness. Let Your truth be revealed in this legal matter, let what is hidden be brought to light, and let justice be done according to Your will. Give us continued grace to show patience and kindness as You have shown to us, to not repay evil for evil, but to trust You, for Romans 12:19 reminds us, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Help us to walk in honesty ourselves, to surrender our will to You daily, and to dedicate our lives anew to You. We ask this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in truth and in grace. Continue to commit this legal situation to the Lord, trusting that He is both just and merciful. Keep speaking the truth in love and keep surrendering your will to Him, for He will honor those who honor Him and He will be your defender.

We were grateful to read your prayer. To keep choosing patience and kindness while you have faced hardships and what feels like serious dishonesty from a landlord's team and legal representatives is not easy, and we hear both your hurt and your desire for what is right.

Asking God to build up their resistance to dishonesty and to open their eyes to truth is a loving way to pray. It holds together two things that can feel in tension, wanting honesty and justice to prevail, and not wanting those people to suffer the deeper consequences of continuing in lies. Carrying that tension can be heavy, and it is understandable if you still feel anger, disappointment, or weariness even as you have decided to respond with grace. That decision and the slower healing of the heart often move at different paces, and both need care.

As you continue through whatever legal process is before you, we encourage you to stay anchored in wise, steady support, keep clear records, lean on trustworthy counsel, and give yourselves space to bring the strain honestly to the Lord and to a few safe people who can walk with you.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this situation to You. We ask for truth to be made clear and for honesty to grow where there has been deceit. Guard the hearts of those praying from bitterness and weariness, and give them wisdom, peace, and perseverance as they entrust this to You. Lead all involved toward what is good and right according to Your will. Amen.

We join you in this prayer for truth and honest dealing, for you have prayed according to the mind of God. God is light, that is truth, for He can neither err nor break His word, and therefore He cannot smile on anything that is false. If there be upon the lip a false word, or in the heart a false thought, so far we are out of the sphere in which God can have fellowship with us.

It is right that you have thanked God for His presence, for His heavenly gifts, and above all for the sacrifice of the Cross when the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners. Upon that footing of truth, sad truth though it be that we are sinners, the Lord will meet with us through the atoning blood. He will deal with us truthfully and will never cast away a sinner that comes to Him according to truth.

We give thanks with you that in the midst of hardships you have been given grace to show patience and kindness to the landlord's team, to lawyers and legal representatives. This is the sacred canon of our warfare, that we wrestle not with flesh and blood. We are at war with error and with sin, but toward every person we still endeavor to carry love and prayer. You do well to pray for them rather than to curse them.

We now make your petition our own, and ask the Lord to build up in all who are concerned a resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. May the God who is Master and Lord over all hearts put His truth within them, not as mere head knowledge but as truth burned into the soul by the operation of the Holy Spirit. May He open their eyes to know that truth will set us free, while lies bring sorrow and judgment. We pray that they may come to honest dealing with God and with men, confessing what is true and forsaking what is false, that they may not suffer the consequences of lying.

We pray also for you, that you may continue to buy the truth at any price, to hold fast to truth in doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life, and to surrender your will wholly to Him who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. May the Lord keep you in His light and give you peace as you trust His righteous dealings.

We commend all these persons and this whole matter to our gracious and merciful God, who is slow to anger and of great kindness, through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we pray, Amen.
