Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in lifting this burden before the Father and we thank you for coming before Him in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God. As you have prayed, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. We rejoice that you have acknowledged the sacrifice of the cross where His blood was shed for us sinners, and we stand with you in thanking Him for His presence, for fighting for us and for blessing us with heavenly gifts.

We agree with you that dishonesty is a serious matter before the Lord and not a small thing. Scripture is very clear about this. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Proverbs 12:22. We are also warned that A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he who utters lies shall perish. Proverbs 19:9. Jesus taught that lying has its source in the enemy, while He Himself is truth, and we are called to put away falsehood and speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:25, and to not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings. Colossians 3:9.

We are deeply encouraged by the grace you have shown to the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives, even while facing hardships. You have chosen to show the same patience and kindness that was shown to you, and this honors God. This is overcoming evil with good as we are instructed, Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21. Your desire is not for vengeance but for their hearts to be changed, for their resistance to dishonesty to be built up and for them to practice honesty. That is a Christlike prayer.

We also agree with you that truth brings freedom. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32. When people persist in lies they entangle themselves and will suffer consequences, but when the eyes are opened to the truth there is freedom and restoration.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace with thanksgiving for Your presence in our lives and for the gift of salvation through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. Lord, You see the situation with this landlord's team and all the dishonesty and serious wrongdoing that has taken place. You hate lying and You love truth, and we ask that You would convict every heart involved. Build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty, open their eyes to see that Your way of truth is the only way to freedom, and lead them to repentance and to practice honesty in all their dealings. Protect us from bitterness and help us to continue to walk in patience, kindness and truth, speaking the truth in love. Let Your will be done in this legal matter, let justice be done, and let Your name be glorified. We dedicate our lives to You anew and surrender our will to Yours. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in integrity and to trust the Lord to be your defender. He who is faithful will bring His truth to light. Continue to commit this matter to Him in prayer, to speak truth with grace, and to leave the judgment to Him while you remain steadfast in honesty. The Lord delights in those who do the truth and He will sustain you.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We were grateful to read your prayer. It takes real grace to have been through hardships with a landlord and legal team and still ask God to build honesty in them rather than simply asking for vindication. That patience and kindness you described is not small, and we thank God for it.

Wanting truth to prevail is right and good. Lies do wear down everyone involved, and asking God to strengthen a resistance to dishonesty is a loving way to pray, both for your own peace and for their good, since living dishonestly carries its own heavy consequences.

We encourage you to keep walking in that same honesty yourselves. One steady step that often helps in these kinds of disputes is to keep a simple, factual record of communications and documents in one place, and to lean on a trusted, wise advisor for the legal side so you are not carrying the burden alone. It can free you to keep praying with a clearer mind.

We are praying with you that truth would be made clear and that you would be sustained with patience as you wait.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this situation to You. Thank You for the grace You have already given to respond with patience. We ask for clarity and truth to come to light, for honesty to grow where there has been dishonesty, and for protection and wisdom for those praying. Your prayer concerning truth and honesty has been brought before the Lord with thanksgiving, and we join our hearts with yours in this matter.

It is a right and good thing to love the truth, for our Lord Jesus Christ Himself is the way, the truth, and the life, and His Word is truth. You have done well to remember that lies are not light things in the sight of God, for He is a God of truth and without iniquity, and He calls His people to buy the truth and sell it not. As it is written, Buy the truth, and do not sell it. We are to have truth in our doctrine, truth in our heart, and truth in our life, and Christ who is the truth to be our treasure forever.

We commend the grace which God has given you to show patience and kindness to those who have dealt dishonestly with you, even to the landlord's team and those who represent them. This is to overcome evil with good, which is the very art the saints must learn. To return good for evil and prayer for wrong is to walk in the steps of Him who prayed for His enemies upon the cross. Continue in this, and fear not man, for why should the believer be afraid of man that shall die. When fear goes, faith comes in, and genuine faith trusts God in the storm as well as in the calm.

You ask rightly that the Lord would build up in these men a resistance to dishonesty and teach them to practice honesty. We join you in praying that God will bring them to honest dealing with Himself, for He will meet a man where truth is and nowhere else. When a man confesses his sin and owns his guilt, he stands upon the ground of truth, and upon that ground the Lord meets him through the atoning blood of Christ. We pray that their eyes may be opened to see that the truth shall make them free, and that to persist in falsehood is to treasure up sorrow for themselves. May the Spirit of God convince them that without truth in the inward parts there is no salvation, and lead them to that honesty which forsakes deceit and walks in the light.

Be encouraged to keep your own heart stayed upon the truth of God. Hold fast to Holy Scripture as the standard of truth, and do not pick and choose, but receive all that God has revealed. Remember this truth when you most need it, that the Lord reigns and will do right, and that He who has fought for you and blessed you with heavenly gifts through the sacrifice of the cross will not forsake you now. He will cover you and vindicate His own name in His time.

We pray with you now, that the Lord who loves truth would work in every heart concerned in this matter, that He would restrain the tongue of falsehood, establish honesty, and let His truth prevail, and that you may be kept in peace as you surrender your will to Him who does all things well.

May the God of all truth keep you steadfast, and may you find that to walk in truth is to walk in liberty before Him.
