Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in this prayer and we thank you for coming before the Father so rightly in the name of Jesus, for as you said He is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him John 14:6. We rejoice that you have acknowledged the sacrifice of the cross where His blood was shed for us sinners, for it is only by that name that we are saved and have access to God Acts 4:12.

We stand with you in agreement that dishonesty is a serious matter before God. Scripture is very clear that truth matters deeply to Him. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22, and we are commanded therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor Ephesians 4:25 and do not lie to one another Colossians 3:9. Jesus taught that the devil is a liar and the father of lies John 8:44, while Christ Himself is truth, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32.

We commend you for the grace you have shown in praying for your landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while facing hardships. This reflects the heart of Christ who calls us to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you Matthew 5:44. Your desire not to see them suffer the consequences of lying but to see their resistance to dishonesty built up and their eyes opened is a beautiful picture of desiring mercy and repentance over judgment.

We also understand the weight of facing lies and serious wrongdoing in a legal matter. God is a God of justice and truth, and He sees what is done in secret. We encourage you to continue to walk in integrity and to trust Him to be your advocate, for it is written do not avenge yourselves, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. Keep documenting the truth quietly and honestly, continuing to show patience and kindness as you have, while also trusting that God will bring what is hidden into the light Luke 8:17.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace and we thank You for Your presence in our lives and for fighting for us and for every heavenly gift You have poured out upon us. Thank You for the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for us sinners. Lord, You hate lying and You love truth, and we ask that You would work in the hearts of this landlord's team and their lawyers and representatives. Convict them of any dishonesty, break the pattern of deceit, and build in them a holy resistance to lying. Open their eyes to see that truth will set them free and that walking in honesty is the path to life. We ask that You would protect this dear one from further hardship, that truth would prevail in every legal matter, and that justice tempered with mercy would be done. Help us all to surrender our will to You daily and to dedicate our lives anew to You. Give our friend continued grace to respond with patience, kindness and forgiveness while standing firmly in truth. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified through this situation. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer. You are carrying real hardship from this situation with your landlord's team and their lawyers, and yet you are asking God to work in their hearts toward honesty rather than asking for harm to come to them. That is a gracious and difficult place to stand, and we hear how much you want truth to prevail for everyone involved.

What you described is at the heart of what forgiveness looks like day to day. You have made a clear decision to not seek revenge and to want good for those who have wronged you, even to pray that they would find freedom in telling the truth. That decision matters before God, and it is different from how you may still feel inside. It is normal for feelings of hurt, anger or weariness to linger and need time to soften, even after you have chosen to forgive. Forgiving also does not mean you have to pretend nothing happened or immediately trust again. You can continue to act honestly yourselves, keep careful records, and maintain wise boundaries while you pray for them.

It helps to keep bringing this to the Lord as you have been, and to stay connected with a trusted pastor or mature believer who can walk with you through any ongoing legal stress and encourage you.

Father, thank You for the way You have shown patience and kindness to us, and for the grace You have given our friend to extend that same patience to others. We ask You to guard their heart from bitterness, to strengthen them to keep walking in honesty, and to give them wisdom and peace in the days ahead. Work in the hearts of all involved and lead each one toward truth. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in thanking our heavenly Father that He has given you grace to come before Him in the name of Jesus, who is indeed the way, the truth and the life, and whose precious blood was shed on the Cross for sinners. It is a good and right thing to love truth, for our God is a God of truth, and lying lips are an abomination to Him, while they that deal truly are His delight.

We have heard your prayer concerning the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives, and we commend your desire to show toward them the same patience and kindness which the Lord has shown to you. This is the fruit of grace. When men give themselves to dishonesty they must first break down the conscience which God has set as a watchman within, and it is our prayer with you that the Lord in mercy would build up again in them a holy resistance to every false way and teach them to practice honesty in all things.

You have well said that the truth shall set us free. The Lord compasses our path and our lying down and is acquainted with all our ways, so that nothing is hidden from His eyes. To walk in lies is to walk in bondage and under judgment, but to walk in truth is to walk in liberty before Him. We pray that God will open their eyes to this, convict them where they have erred, and grant them repentance, that they may turn from every deceit and do what is just and upright.

Remember also that we ourselves dwell as tenants in the house of this life, and God is the great Landlord. We occupy only by His sufferance, and our rent is to live unto Him in holiness and truth, and to set our house in order before Him. This we can only do through the Gospel of the grace of God, that our sins were laid upon His dear Son Jesus Christ, who offered to Divine justice a complete satisfaction, so that mercy may be dealt to us without injustice. There is forgiveness even for the liar who repents and believes, for Christ had no deceit in His mouth and yet died for the deceitful, that deceitful men might be made true through His blood.

We will pray with you that the Lord will fight for you, bless you with heavenly gifts, keep you in His presence, and cause truth to prevail in this matter. May He guard your own lips and heart in perfect integrity, and may He work in the hearts of these others to love honesty, to forsake every serious crime of falsehood, and to escape the bitter consequences which follow upon lying.

We surrender this whole matter with you to His wise and sovereign will, trusting Him to do what is right.
