Dishonesty

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join you in this prayer before the Father in the name of Jesus and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord with such grace and truth. We are encouraged by your heart to not only seek justice but to pray for those who have wronged you, showing the same patience and kindness that has been shown to you. That is the heart of Christ in you.

We agree with you that lies are serious before God. Scripture is very clear about this. Proverbs 12:22 says Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. And Exodus 20:16 says You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. To lie, especially in legal matters, is to violate God's holy law and to follow the father of lies rather than the God of truth. Ephesians 4:25 exhorts us Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. And Colossians 3:9 says Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings.

You have prayed so beautifully that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life as He declares in John 14:6, and that truth will make us free as Jesus promises in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. We cling to that promise with you. Dishonesty may seem to gain an advantage for a time, but it brings bondage and ultimately judgment, while honesty brings freedom and delight before God. Psalm 51:6 reminds us Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. God wants to build that resistance to dishonesty deep within the heart.

We also commend your desire to pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives. Our Lord calls us to this in Matthew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. We pray with you that God would convict them by His Holy Spirit, open their eyes to see the seriousness of lying, and grant them repentance to practice honesty. We pray that any schemes built on falsehood would be exposed and would not prosper, and that justice and truth would prevail according to God's will.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace. We thank You that You are present with us, that You fight for us, and that You have blessed us with every heavenly gift through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross for us sinners. Lord, You see the hardships that have been faced and You see every lie that has been spoken. We ask You to be the defender and the judge, for You love justice and You hate dishonesty. We lift up the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives before You. By Your mercy, build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty. Take away hearts of deceit and give them hearts that love and speak truth. Open their eyes to know that the truth will make them free, and deliver them from the consequences of lying. Help them to turn from falsehood and to walk in integrity before You and before men. And Father, we lift up these dear ones who have endured this trial. Strengthen them to continue to walk in truth, to not grow weary in doing good, and to trust You to vindicate and provide. Grant them peace that passes understanding as they surrender their will and their lives to You. Let Your will be done in this situation and let Your name be glorified. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in truth and to trust the Lord as your advocate. Romans 12:19 reminds us Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. You do not need to repay evil for evil. Continue to commit your cause to Him who judges righteously, and continue to speak the truth in love. God sees, God knows, and God will act in His perfect time and way. Keep surrendering your will to Him daily, for He is faithful.

We thank you for sharing this prayer with us. We can hear both the weight of what you have been through and the grace you are asking God to show, not only to you but to the landlord's team and their lawyers and representatives.

It is a Christlike thing to pray that those who have been dishonest would grow in honesty and see the freedom that comes with truth, even while you have faced real hardship because of those choices. Holding that kind of goodwill toward others while you are still carrying the effects of what happened is not easy.

We have found it helps to remember that choosing to act with patience and kindness is a decision we can make before our feelings have fully caught up. The gap between how we wish things had been handled and how they actually are can stay tender for a while, and it is understandable if frustration or hurt still rises up even as you have decided not to seek payback. Walking with the Lord day by day in that tension is part of healing.

One small step that may steady you is to keep lifting this same request briefly before the Lord each day, and to stay connected to a trusted pastor or mature believer who can encourage you, pray with you, and help you stay grounded as practical matters continue.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift our brother or sister to You along with each person involved on the other side. Work honesty and clarity in every heart, guard all from further harm, and give wisdom, peace and strength for each next step as they surrender their lives to You. Amen.

Your prayer has come before us and we have heard the burden of your heart, and we do join with you at the throne of grace in the name of Jesus who is the way, the truth and the life.

We thank God with you for His presence in your lives and for the heavenly gifts which He bestows, and above all for the sacrifice of the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, and it is upon the ground of that atoning blood alone that we may draw near to our heavenly Father with confidence.

You have spoken truly when you say that lies are serious crimes. The Scripture declares, Your Word is Truth, and our Lord Jesus did not merely speak the truth, He was Truth itself, transparent from head to foot, Truth in word and Truth in deed. When truth is embodied in a life it has power through the Spirit of God, but when a man says he has no sin or willfully utters a falsehood, the truth is not in him. We are to have honest dealing with God, confessing what is true concerning ourselves, that we are sinners, and laying hold of what is true concerning Him, that Christ died for sinners. On that footing of truth, sad truth though it be on our side, the Lord will meet with us and smile upon us through the atonement.

You have prayed rightly for those who have opposed you, for the landlord's team and for lawyers and legal representatives. This is to overcome evil with good, and it is well that you have been given grace to show patience and kindness. We now join you in asking the Lord to build up in them that resistance to dishonesty which has been broken down, and to teach them to buy the truth and sell it not. We are to buy the truth in doctrine, to receive all that Holy Scripture teaches without picking and choosing, to buy experimental truth within the heart where sincerity dwells, and to buy practical truth in the life where our actions are consistent and straightforward. Let all else go if need be, but let a man have truth in his doctrine, truth in his heart, truth in his life, and Christ who is the truth to be his treasure forever.

We pray that the Lord who is abundant in goodness and truth, who cannot lie and will not deny Himself, will open their eyes to see that truth shall make them free. As long as a man believes a lie and rejects the truth he abides in darkness, but when the Spirit of God brings him to love the truth, to speak the truth and to act the truth, he finds liberty. So we ask that He would grant them repentance and a love of honesty, that they may turn from falsehood and walk in integrity, for sooner shall heaven and earth pass away than one promise of our God shall fall to the ground, and His truth endureth to all generations.

Continue, then, to surrender your will to Him and to dedicate your lives anew to His service. Remember that this war between right and wrong must be continued with valour for God and for His truth, yet not with bitterness but with prayer and with a steady witness to the truth as it is in Jesus. Fear not man who is but a worm, but submit yourselves to the will of God and strengthen your faith by trusting Him in the storm as well as in the calm.

May the Lord hear your cry, establish you in His truth, and work in those for whom you pray a sincere and abiding honesty, to the praise of His holy name. In Jesus name we ask it, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer is heard and it is right to bring this matter before the Lord in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life. I give thanks with you for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the heavenly gifts and the blood shed on the Cross for sinners. It is also good that you have been given grace to show patience and kindness to the landlord's team, to the lawyers and legal representative, even in hardship, for this is the fruit of a godly life.

You are right to call lies serious. Scripture teaches that dishonesty is not a small fault. When a person gives himself to dishonest gain, even what seems like honest gain can become a snare, and when dishonesty is added, with oaths and falsehoods and covetousness, how much more wretched is that path, bringing grief in this life and loss of the kingdom to come. The honor of the Christian is to be found truthful, as we speak always in truth before God and before others.

You ask that God would build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty. This is a faithful prayer. Truth needs an honest soul to receive it. When truth lays hold on such a soul, she easily masters it, as the sun easily enlightens clear eyes. When the soul is not candid, it remains dark, not because truth is weak, but because the soul is not ready to receive it. So we pray that God would make their hearts candid and clear, that they would love truth and turn from falsehood.

We also pray with you that they would see that truth will set them free. Our Lord said that knowing the truth makes us free, and to live in lies is to live in bondage and to suffer its consequences. May God open their eyes to see that a quiet and peaceable life is found not in cunning or in gain, but in all godliness and honesty, in righteousness and holiness of truth, which comes through new life in Christ.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we ask You to work in the hearts of this landlord's team, the lawyers and the legal representative. Convict them where there has been lying and wrongdoing, grant them repentance, and build in them a love for honesty. Guard them from further deceit and help them to speak and act truthfully. Protect those who have been wronged, provide for their needs, and keep them steadfast in patience, kindness and trust in You. We surrender our lives and our will to You, asking that Your will be done and that all would come to know salvation through Jesus Christ alone. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your prayer reflects a sincere and honest heart before God, and that honesty is exactly what He desires from you. It is right to come to Him openly with what you are feeling, the disturbance, the anger, the fear and the hardship you have faced, and to tell Him plainly about it. He already knows and He can deal with those emotions as you place them before Him.

Thank you for the grace you have shown in responding with patience and kindness to those who have wronged you, even while enduring falsehood. That desire to walk in honesty and purity and holiness is how those who have embraced Jesus Christ are called to live, even when surrounded by a culture where deceit seems normal. The good news we hold to is that God loves us and forgives our sins through Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross, not because we have earned it, but because of grace.

Lies are indeed serious before God. Scripture speaks of lying vanities, empty deceptions that people follow, and warns that those who follow them turn away from the mercy that God wants to give them. To follow a lie only brings more misery and makes life harder, while truth brings freedom. Jesus Himself said He is the way, the truth and the life, and that the truth will set us free. Lying lips that speak proudly against what is right will not stand forever, and no community or society can remain healthy apart from integrity and uprightness.

It is also right that you are praying for the landlord's team and those who represent them legally. God calls us to pray for those who have authority and influence over our lives, so that we may live quiet and peaceable lives marked by godliness and honesty. The proper purpose of law and government is to preserve what is good and to uphold justice, and we can ask God to work toward that end.

We join you in asking that God would build in them a stronger resistance to dishonesty and a desire to practice honesty. A lie is never made right by thinking it accomplishes something good, and it often reveals a lack of trust that God can provide and protect without deception. Pray that their eyes would be opened to see that deceit forsakes mercy and invites consequences, and that they would turn from it to the truth that brings freedom.

Continue to rest in your loving relationship with God through grace. Forgiveness does not come from trying to keep a legal record perfectly, which only brings guilt and robs us of joy and peace. It comes from trusting what Jesus has done for sinners on the cross. God loves you, He has forgiven you through faith in Christ, and you can enjoy that love and walk with Him in peace.

We pray with you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we thank You for Your presence and for the heavenly gifts You give, especially the forgiveness purchased by the blood of Jesus. We bring before You this situation involving dishonesty and ask You to work in the hearts of all involved, that they would turn from lying vanities and choose honesty. Open their eyes to the truth that sets free and help them to understand the harm that lies bring. Guard those who have been hurt, give them continued patience and kindness, and let truth and justice prevail so that all may live in peace. We surrender our lives and our will to You. In Jesus name, Amen.
