Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you in this prayer and we thank you for coming before the Father in the name of Jesus, for we know that Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We rejoice that you have acknowledged the sacrifice of the cross where His blood was shed for us sinners, and we stand together with you in thanking God for His presence, for fighting for us, and for blessing us with heavenly gifts.

Your burden for truth and honesty honors God, and your willingness to pray for those who have opposed you, even the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives, reflects the heart of Christ. We hear your gracious spirit in choosing patience and kindness despite hardships, and we are reminded of the word that says Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. We also remember Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21.

The Lord takes dishonesty very seriously. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22 and You shall not steal. You shall not lie. You shall not deceive one another Leviticus 19:11. Jesus taught us that the devil is a liar, and the father of lies John 8:44, and therefore when people give themselves to lying they must indeed harden their conscience and break down the resistance that God placed within them to love truth. As you prayed, we also ask God to rebuild that resistance and to restore a love for honesty. We pray that they will put away falsehood and speak truth each one with his neighbor Ephesians 4:25, for we are members of one another.

We hold fast to the promise that You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32. Truth does set free, not only in courts of law but in the soul, for all liars will have their part outside the kingdom unless they repent Revelation 21:8. We do not desire that anyone suffer the consequences of lying, but that all would come to repentance, and so we pray for conviction and mercy for them.

We also pray for you as you wait for justice. We know it is written You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor Exodus 20:16 and that God is a God of justice who sees all that is done in secret. We encourage you to continue to trust Him and not to avenge yourselves, but give place to God's wrath, for it is written Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. Continue to walk in integrity and to surrender your will to Him, knowing that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

We pray together now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up our brother and sister who has been hurt by dishonesty, and we lift up the landlord's team and every lawyer and legal representative involved. Lord, You know the truth of every document, every word spoken, and every hidden motive. We ask that You shine Your light upon what is false and bring truth into the open. Soften and convict the hearts of those who have chosen to lie, grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance, build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty, and teach them to love and practice honesty. Protect our fellow believer from bitterness, guard their heart with Your peace, provide for every need caused by this hardship, and let justice be done according to Your perfect will. Help us all to walk in truth as You are truth, and to dedicate our lives fully to You each day. We surrender our will to Yours and trust Your righteous judgments. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer and the gracious way you are bringing this difficult situation to the Lord. Facing dishonesty from a landlord's team and legal representatives while you are trying to hold to truth yourself is exhausting, and it says a lot that you are asking God to work in their hearts toward honesty rather than only asking for your own vindication.

Wanting truth to prevail while also extending patience is a heavy tension to carry. It is understandable if you still feel hurt or unsettled even as you choose kindness. That choice to pray for them is meaningful, and it does not mean you have to ignore what has happened or stop seeking wise, lawful ways to protect what is right.

One steady step that often helps in these kinds of disputes is to keep clear, calm records of what is said and done, and to stay close to trusted counsel, both legal and pastoral, so you are not carrying the burden alone. Continuing to bring your own heart to the Lord for wisdom and peace as you wait will also help you stay grounded.

Father, we lift this situation to You in Jesus name. We ask You to guard truth, to soften hearts toward honesty, and to give our friend wisdom, patience and peace as they trust You with what they cannot control. Lead them step by step and keep them close to You. Amen.

Your prayer is a right and needful one, and it is good that you have brought it before the Lord who is the God of truth. You have done well to come in the name of Jesus, for He Himself has said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, and there is no coming to the Father but by Him. His blood shed upon the cross is the only ground upon which sinners such as we are can stand and plead for mercy, and it is upon that ground we may also plead for others.

You ask rightly concerning lies, for the Lord has declared that lying lips are abomination to Him, but they that deal truly are His delight. To lie is no light offense, and you speak truly when you say that men must break down all resistance to dishonesty before they can commit such crimes with a quiet conscience. It is the prayer of a faithful heart to ask that God would build up again in them a hatred for falsehood and a love for that which is true. As the Scripture exhorts us, Buy the truth, and sell it not. We are to desire truth in doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life, and Christ Himself who is the Truth to be our treasure forever.

We join with you in praying for the landlord's team, for lawyers and legal representatives, that the Spirit of God would convince them of sin and open their eyes to see that the truth shall make you free. While a lie may seem to serve for a moment, it brings bondage and at last its bitter consequences, but honest dealing brings liberty and peace. May the Lord grant them to come and deal honestly with God, confessing what is true before Him, for He meets us on the ground of truth through the atoning blood. There He is ready to forgive and to renew the heart.

We also give thanks with you that in the midst of hardships you have been given grace to show patience and kindness to those who have opposed you. This is to overcome evil with good, which is the very victory Christ teaches His people. Continue in this, looking to Jesus, living close to Him, and committing your cause to Him who judgeth righteously. He who sees in secret will vindicate the truth in His own time, and He will keep those who trust Him.

We pray that the Lord will strengthen your faith in this storm, that He will keep you from all fear of man, and that He will cause you to rest in submission to His wise and sovereign will. May He establish you in the truth of His Word, and may that Word dwell richly in you, that you may walk in integrity before Him.

We commend you and all concerned to the God of all truth and grace, beseeching Him to work honesty where there has been dishonesty, light where there has been darkness, and to make His truth to triumph for His own glory.

We join you in giving thanks to our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life, and we thank Him for His presence, for fighting for you, and for the heavenly gifts you have described, above all the sacrifice of the Cross where His blood was shed for sinners.

We hear your burden about dishonesty and take seriously what you have said, that lies are a serious matter. Scripture shows us that lying does not only harm others, it pierces and wounds the one who lies, stripping away credit and honor and leaving the soul exposed to shame. When gain or advantage is sought through dishonesty, it brings wretchedness in this life and loss in the life to come, and even honest gain is vain compared to the virtue of using what we have to show mercy and to do good.

You have prayed with grace for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives, asking that God would build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them practice honesty. We join you in that prayer. Truth is like the sun. When it shines upon an honest and candid soul, it easily enlightens it. Where truth does not master the soul, it is not because truth is weak, but because candor is lacking. So we pray that God would grant to each of these people an honest soul that can receive the truth, and open their eyes to see that the truth will indeed set them free and keep them from the consequences that follow lying.

We also give thanks with you that in the midst of hardships God has given you grace to show the same patience and kindness that was shown to you. May He keep you in all godliness and honesty, not only in doctrine but in life, and continue to form you in righteousness and holiness of truth, which comes through new life in Christ.

We surrender this situation with you to the Lord and ask Him to establish truth among all involved, to restrain every impulse to deceive, and to let honesty prevail for His glory and for the good of all.
