Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you in this prayer and we thank you for coming before the Father in the name of Jesus, for we know that Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and it is only through His shed blood on the cross that we sinners have forgiveness and access to God.

We agree with you that lies are serious before the Lord. The Scriptures teach us that lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who deal truly are his delight. Proverbs 12:22 and that a false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies will not go free. Proverbs 19:5 Dishonesty is not a small matter, it breaks fellowship with God who is truth itself and it harms our neighbor whom we are commanded to love. We are told therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:25

We commend you for the grace God has given you to show patience and kindness to your landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while facing hardships and what you describe as serious crimes and dishonesty. This reflects the heart of Christ. We encourage you to continue to not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 and to leave room for God's justice, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19

We also join you in praying for those who have acted dishonestly, that God would build up in them a resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. We pray that their eyes would be opened to the truth that you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32 Lies may seem to bring advantage for a moment, but they bring bondage and consequences, while truth brings freedom and life.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your presence and for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts through Jesus Christ. We lift up this situation with the landlord and all involved, the team, the lawyers and legal representatives. Lord, You see all things and nothing is hidden from You. We ask that You would convict every heart where dishonesty has taken root and grant repentance and a desire to speak truth. Help them to practice honesty and to turn from falsehood before they suffer the consequences of lying. We pray for protection over these Your children who have been wronged, guard their hearts from bitterness and keep them steadfast in truth and kindness. Let Your justice and Your mercy be displayed, and let truth prevail in every proceeding. We surrender our lives and our will to You, trusting that You are working all things for good for those who love You. Give us continued grace to walk in integrity and to reflect Christ in all we do. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer and the gracious way you lifted even the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives before the Lord. To have faced hardships because of dishonesty and still ask God to build honesty in others, rather than only asking for vindication, shows real patience and kindness at work in you.

It is heavy to keep choosing truth when lies have caused real harm. Wanting God to strengthen resistance to dishonesty, in your own heart and in theirs, is a wise and steady way to pray. Truth does bring freedom, even when the process is slow and not everyone chooses it at the same time.

As you continue to navigate the landlord and legal matters, one simple practice that often brings a little more peace is keeping a clear, calm written record of your own, dates, what was said or agreed, and copies of anything in writing, and staying close to one or two trusted, level headed advisors as you make decisions. It cannot control what others do, but it helps you walk with clarity while you keep praying as you have been.

Father, we bring this whole situation to You in Jesus' name. Guard these friends as they have surrendered their lives and will to You, give them wisdom and rest, and keep them rooted in truth. Work in the hearts of all involved and draw each one toward honesty and what is right. Let Your peace rule in this home and guide each next step. Amen.

We join with you in prayer before the throne of grace, and we thank God that you have come in the name of Jesus, who is Himself the way, the truth and the life. It is a good and right thing that you have given thanks for His presence, for His heavenly gifts, and above all for the sacrifice of the cross where His blood was shed for sinners, for there alone is our hope and our peace with God.

Your burden concerning dishonesty is one that the Lord Himself shares, for He is a God of truth and His Word is truth. As the Scripture says, Buy the truth and sell it not, and again, the truth shall make you free. You have prayed well in asking that those who have dealt falsely, the landlord's team and those who represent them, may have their eyes opened and their resistance to dishonesty built up again. We join you in that petition, that the Lord would grant them honest dealing both with man and with God.

The Scriptures teach us that honest dealing with God begins with confession of sin, for if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. But when we walk in the light and confess our faults, then we stand upon the ground of truth where God can meet us through the atoning blood of Christ. So we pray that these men and women may be brought to see that a lie is not a light thing but a serious crime before a holy God, and that they may come to love truth in doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life.

We thank God also for the grace He has already given you to show patience and kindness under hardship, even to those who have opposed you. This is to overcome evil with good, which is the very art the saints must learn. Continue in that course, valiant for God and for His truth, remembering that the warfare of truth must be continued and never cease until truth has the victory. Fear not man, but submit yourselves to the will of God and strengthen your faith by trusting Him in the storm.

So we pray: Heavenly Father, open the eyes of all involved to the truth that is in Jesus, convict the conscience where lies have been spoken, and grant a love for honesty that will not be sold at any price. Let truth prevail in all proceedings, protect the innocent from the consequences of falsehood, and keep your people steadfast in integrity. We surrender all to Your will and ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Saviour, Amen.

Your prayer for truth and honesty is heard and it is good that you bring this before God. You have rightly said that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and that truth will set us free. Lies are indeed a serious matter before God, for dishonesty corrupts the soul and, as Scripture teaches, leads not only to present wretchedness but to loss in what is to come.

We join you in giving thanks for the presence of God in your life, for His fighting for you, and for the heavenly gifts you have received, above all the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners. It is only through Him that we have salvation, and it is right that you have come in His name.

We also thank God for the grace He has given you to show patience and kindness to the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even in hardship. This is the fruit of an honest soul that seeks to live in righteousness and holiness of truth, not merely in outward form but in reality. When truth lays hold on such a soul, it masters it easily, as light masters clear eyes. Continue in that godliness and honesty, for a quiet and peaceable life before God is not only about outward peace but about a life ordered in truth in both doctrine and conduct.

We pray with you now for these others. We ask the Father to open their eyes to see that honesty is not a burden but a freedom, and to build up in them a firm resistance to dishonesty. Where covetousness and the desire for gain tempt people toward falsehood, oaths and perjury, we ask that God would turn their hearts toward what is honest and just, that they would practice truthfulness and turn from what brings judgment.
