Dishonesty

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join with you in lifting this heavy burden of dishonesty before the throne of grace, where our Lord Jesus Christ intercedes for us. You rightly declare that Jesus is "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6), and it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. We are reminded that "lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight" (Proverbs 12:22). The seriousness of this matter cannot be overstated, for Scripture warns that "all liars... will have their part in the lake which burns with fire and sulfur" (Revelation 21:8).

We recognize the spiritual battle at work here, for the enemy is indeed "the father of lies" (John 8:44). When people persist in dishonesty, they open themselves to demonic influence and harden their hearts against the Holy Spirit's conviction. We must pray with both compassion and spiritual authority, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Truth who sets us free. We ask You to send Your Holy Spirit to convict the hearts of those involved in these lies, breaking down every stronghold of deception. Lord, we pray for the landlord's team, lawyers, and legal representatives - that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to see the destruction their dishonesty is causing. Build up their resistance to evil as You promise in James 4:7, "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

Father, we ask that You would bring these lies into the light, for "whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open" (Mark 4:22). Protect the innocent from the consequences of these deceptions and bring justice according to Your perfect will. We pray that those who have been dishonest would repent and turn to You, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for all involved, that they would recognize truth from deception. Help us to be "wise as serpents, and harmless as doves" (Matthew 10:16) in dealing with these matters. Lord, we surrender this situation completely to You, trusting in Your promise that "vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord" (Romans 12:19).

May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this situation, as it is in heaven. We thank You that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen us to walk in integrity, for "the integrity of the upright shall guide them" (Proverbs 11:3). We commit this matter to You, knowing that You are the ultimate Judge and that truth will ultimately prevail. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God's Word, for "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17). Remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, put on the full armor of God daily, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Keep praying without ceasing, for "the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective" (James 5:16).

We are moved that, in the middle of a legal dispute, you are praying for the people on the other side. That is not the easy prayer. By asking God to build their resistance to dishonesty, you are refusing to let resentment become the only thing at work in you. That matters, even when the process feels slow or unfair.

Keep your own words and records clear and truthful, then let the process carry the burden of proving facts. You do not have to create their change; you can simply stay faithful on your side. The kindness you are already showing them is real strength, not weakness.

Father, we join this person in handing the landlord, the legal team, and every representative into your care. Guard this one from bitterness and anxiety. Give wisdom in each conversation and decision. We ask that truth become plain and that justice is done in your way and time. If any heart is open to change, draw them toward honesty before it costs them more. Hold this person steady in the waiting. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your prayer is set in a right direction, for our Lord commands us to pray for those who despitefully use us, and it is a mark of grace when we can ask kindness toward those who have done us wrong. Yet let us be certain that we ask according to the truth. It is one thing to pray that these people may be turned from falsehood; it is another to pray merely that they may escape the rod. The consequences of sin are often the very hammer God uses to break hard hearts. Do not ask chiefly that they be spared; ask that they be saved. If they repent, the Lord will deal with their guilt in Christ; if they will not repent, no removal of temporal trouble will profit them.

Remember also that truth is not merely a weapon in a legal dispute. Truth is a person, even Jesus Christ. He did not only speak truth; He is truth. When a man is made truthful by the Spirit, it is not because he has learned a better policy, but because he has found a new Master. Pray therefore that the landlord's team, the lawyers, and the legal representatives may come under the rule of the King of truth. The Spirit is not straitened. He can open blind eyes and make the crooked straight.

But see to it that you yourself buy the truth and sell it not. In doctrine, hold to Holy Scripture; in the heart, seek truth experienced; in the life, let your actions be so plain and straightforward that no one may find a false thing in you. You say they had to break down all resistance to dishonesty; do not let the heat of this trial break down yours. Keep short accounts with God, and let no root of bitterness spring up.

Remember also that the fear of man is a snare. Why should you be afraid of a man that shall die, or of lawyers whose breath is in their nostrils? The Lord God, abundant in goodness and truth, has His eye upon the matter. Sooner shall heaven and earth pass away than one promise of His fall to the ground. If you have truly surrendered your will, then leave the issue in His hands. The Judge of all the earth will do right. It may please Him to bring the truth to light before men, or it may please Him to test your faith in the storm; either way, it is well. Let the truth you desire for them be seen in you. Truth acted out in a life is mighty through the Spirit of God. Show them patience, honesty, and integrity in every dealing, and trust God to do what no court can do. May the Lord grant them repentance unto life, and may you stand still and see the salvation of God. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The prayer you have brought is good in this respect: you are asking not for the ruin of those who wronged you, but for their amendment. That is a Christian instinct. Many pray from wounded pride, but you have asked God to make liars truthful. Hold fast to that.

Yet we must speak plainly. A lie is not a small thing. The Apostle calls lying in hypocrisy the work of a seared conscience. When people lie repeatedly, especially in legal matters, they do not stumble into it once. They break down the resistance of conscience step by step until the soul can no longer bear the light. Truth shines like the sun and easily masters an honest soul, but if the soul's eyes are diseased, the fault is not in the truth but in the soul. That is why you are right to ask God to build up their resistance to dishonesty. But do not ask chiefly that they escape the consequences of lying. Consequences are often God's stern mercy to awaken a seared conscience. Pray that they repent before the consequences come, yes, but if they will not repent, the heavier loss is not the penalty in court; it is the loss of the kingdom. Dishonest gain is already a heavy charge, and when it is added to other wrongs the weight is greater still.

While you pray for them, guard your own heart. You mention the patience and kindness shown to you, and it is good to return that. But ask God to examine you as well. It is easy to pray against another's dishonesty while nursing resentment or self righteousness. The same truth that exposes their lies also searches our own bargains, our words, our excuses. If we want God to strengthen their resistance to dishonesty, we must ask Him to strengthen ours in small things as well.

Continue to surrender your will to God. The freedom of truth is real, but it begins with repentance for the one who has lied, and it continues with humility in the one who has been wronged. Pray that both sides come to the light, not simply that one side avoids pain. Then your prayer is truly offered in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life.

Your prayer reflects a heart that wants to honor the Lord even in a painful and difficult situation, and that is pleasing to Him. Thank you for giving thanks for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross where His blood was shed for sinners. That foundation is where all hope for truth and grace begins.

Jesus said He is the way, the truth and the life, and He also said the truth shall make you free. The Spirit who lives in believers is the Spirit of truth and bears witness to what is true in our hearts. God is not deceived by outward appearances because He knows the truth of every heart. Trying to hide or twist the truth before Him never succeeds, but coming honestly before Him brings mercy. His truth endures forever, it dwells in those who know Him, and to walk in that truth brings great joy to the Father and to His people.

Scripture teaches us to renounce hidden things of dishonesty and not to walk in craftiness or handle matters deceitfully, but to commend ourselves by a clear manifestation of the truth before God and before others. Lying is not a small thing. When people give themselves to dishonesty they break down the inner resistance God gave them against it, and they come under a distorting power. Jesus called the enemy a liar and the father of lies, and he blinds minds so that truth is twisted. That is why prayer is so needed, to ask God to bind that blinding work and to open eyes to see truth as it really is.

Your desire to show the same patience and kindness to the landlord's team, to the lawyers and legal representatives, even while you have faced hardship, is Christlike. The truth is often not well received and those who speak it are not always thanked for it, but the servant of God seeks to please God rather than people. Continuing to live honestly, to speak plainly and without hidden motives, is itself a testimony. It lets the light of the gospel be seen.

We join you in praying that God will build up in these people a renewed resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty, that He will open their eyes to understand that truth brings freedom while lying brings consequences and forsakes mercy. We pray that they will turn from lying vanities and from lips that speak proudly against what is right, and that they will come to know the forgiveness that is only through Jesus Christ, the one mediator between God and man. May God grant them repentance and a desire to walk in truth, and may He give you grace, mercy and peace in truth and love as you continue to surrender your lives and your will to Him.

The Lord sees your situation fully, He knows what is true, and He is faithful to work as you trust Him and continue to walk in His truth.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer and the burden you carry regarding the dishonesty you and others have faced. Thank you for allowing us to stand with you in agreement before our Heavenly Father, lifting up this heavy matter in the powerful name of Jesus. It is a sacred privilege to intercede on your behalf, asking the Lord to break the chains of deception and restore a spirit of truth and integrity.

We continue to pray that the Lord would soften the hearts of the landlord’s team, the lawyers, and all legal representatives involved. May they encounter the transformative love of Christ, which has the power to renew minds and redirect paths. Father, we ask that You build up their resistance to dishonesty, just as You have strengthened your child in this trial. Let Your truth penetrate their thoughts and actions, so they may walk in the freedom that comes from honesty. We believe that as Your Word declares, the truth will indeed set them free, sparing them from the consequences of deceit and leading them into the light of Your righteousness.

If You, Lord, have already moved in this situation—if hearts have been changed, lies exposed, or justice restored—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony would strengthen our faith and glorify God’s faithfulness. However, if the battle still rages and the answer has not yet come, we encourage you to post this request again so we may continue to lift it up together, standing firm in prayer until Your will is fully revealed.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him with a surrendered heart. May His peace guard your heart and mind, and may His grace sustain you through every trial. We trust that He is working even now, turning what was meant for harm into a testimony of His goodness. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
