Dishonesty

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes, and we ask you to forgive us when we lied or misinterpreted something.
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name, amen

We come together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, acknowledging that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. We are grateful for the sacrifice of the Cross, where Jesus’ precious blood was shed for our sins, offering us redemption and the hope of eternal life. Thank you, Lord, for your grace and mercy that cover us daily.

Dishonesty is indeed a grievous sin, as Scripture warns us: "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truly are his delight" (Proverbs 12:22). We confess before You any times we have faltered in truth, whether in word or deed, and we ask for Your forgiveness. The enemy seeks to ensnare hearts in deception, but we stand firm on Your Word, which declares, "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor" (Exodus 20:16). We rebuke the spirit of dishonesty in every form, for it corrupts the soul and brings destruction.

We lift up the landlord’s team, lawyers, and legal representatives involved in this situation. Though they may have acted in ways that do not align with Your truth, we pray for their hearts to be softened. Father, we ask that You break the chains of deception in their lives and replace them with a hunger for righteousness. "The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them" (Proverbs 11:3). Let them see the weight of their actions and turn from dishonesty to walk in the light of Your truth.

We also pray for ourselves, Lord, that You would strengthen our resistance to any temptation to compromise the truth. Help us to reflect Your character in all we do, showing patience and kindness even in the face of adversity. "Let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one" (Matthew 5:37). May our lives be a testimony to Your truth, and may we always seek to honor You in our words and actions.

We declare that the truth will prevail in this situation, for You are the God of justice and righteousness. "He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord" (Proverbs 17:15). We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will, knowing that You will bring all things to light.

Heavenly Father, we surrender our will to Yours and dedicate our lives to serving You. We ask that You continue to fight for us, bless us with Your wisdom, and guide us in the path of righteousness. May Your truth set us, and those involved in this matter, free from the bondage of lies. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. It takes a lot of humility to bring your own struggles with truth-telling before God, and to keep praying for people who have caused you hardship. That kind of heart, willing to forgive and wanting to see others set free from dishonesty, is something we believe God deeply honors.

When we’re caught in a long conflict where trust has been broken, it’s easy to focus entirely on the other side’s wrongdoing. Yet you’ve done the harder work: you’ve looked at your own words too. That is a real sign of spiritual health. One thing we’ve found helpful when we catch ourselves shading the truth, even in small ways, is to stop right then and make it right. A quick correction, a clarification, a simple “I said that wrong, here’s what I actually meant” can build a habit of honesty that holds up when the pressure is on. It also reminds our own hearts that we are people who belong to the truth.

As for the legal team, keep entrusting them to God, just as you have been. Only He can soften a conscience and rebuild what has broken down. You don’t have to force any outcome; your job is to keep showing the patience and kindness you’ve already extended, and to let God handle the rest.

Father, thank you for the grace that covers every lie we’ve ever told. Help us walk in the freedom of honesty, quick to confess and quick to correct. For those who have acted dishonestly in this legal battle, we ask that you would stir a hunger for truth and begin to rebuild their resistance to deceit. Protect this person’s heart from bitterness and fill them with your steady peace, no matter how long the process takes. We lean on you for the outcome, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

There is forgiveness! Hear it again from God’s own Word: “There is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared.” You have brought your confession before the throne, and He who blotteth out transgressions for His own sake hath heard. Lies are indeed serious crimes, as you say, but the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth from all sin. When a soul trembles and with penitent heart desires mercy, the Lord doth not cast it out. “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions,” saith the Lord, as though He were Himself astonished at the sweep of His own grace. If you have been a chief liar, yet there is a chief forgiveness for you now.

Yet look higher than the landlord’s team and lawyers, look to the great Landlord of the house in which we all dwell. Every breath is a leasehold, every moment a tenancy at His will. The text saith, “Set thine house in order,” and that must begin with thine own heart. You seek for these men to have their resistance to dishonesty built afresh, and that is well, but remember the rent due to the great Landlord is faith, love, obedience, and a forgiving spirit. “Even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” He keepeth no back reckonings; He retaineth no reserves of anger. It breaks my heart to think what a loving Christ He was to me when I sought His forgiveness. Let that melt your heart toward those who have wronged you. The only men that ever truly fear God are those that are forgiven, and the truest mark of a forgiven man is a ready pardon of others.

Dedicate your lives, you say, and surrender your will. Then let the matter be cast upon Him who judgeth righteously. There is forgiveness, but it is with God, through Jesus Christ His Son, an eternal forgiveness that swallows up the debt entirely, as though it had never been. Go now, and in that liberty, show patience and kindness as the natural outflow of a soul set free. And if the adversary doth not yet see the truth, your quiet trust and honest dealing may yet be the instrument to open blind eyes. There is forgiveness for them, too, if they turn; and there is forgiveness for you, full and free, the moment you believe it. Only believe, and live.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You tremble at the thought of lying, and rightly so. But do not think that simply naming the sin and asking forgiveness suffices if the heart still clings to its crooked ways. What profit is there in bemoaning dishonesty while the tongue remains a ready instrument for it? The thief who weeps over his theft yet clutches the stolen goods mocks God. Let your sorrow be the kind that produces repentance without regret, a repentance that not only confesses but cuts off the sin at its root. Examine your dealings: have you restored what was taken by deceit? Have you spoken truth where a lie once served your comfort? The blood of Christ cleanses, but the soul that walks back into the mire becomes worse than before.

You pray for the ### and his ###, asking that their resistance to dishonesty be built up. This is a noble impulse, and it pleases God when we intercede for enemies. But know this: their eyes will not open to truth unless their wills are first broken by godly sorrow. Pray indeed that they taste the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, for tasting these gifts and then falling away makes renewal near impossible, as they crucify the Son of God afresh. Yet do not presume that prayer alone works a magic transformation. If they persist in lies after clear light has come, they heap up wrath. The sun enlightens healthy eyes; if a man remains blind, the fault lies in his own corruption, not in the radiance of truth.

You dedicate your life and surrender your will. Test this surrender with deeds, not words. Let your own mouth become a fountain of honesty, whatever the cost. The cross you invoke is not a soft pillow for guilt but a death sentence to the old self. Walk in the light, for the truth frees those who love it with their whole being, not merely those who admire it from a distance. Amen.

What you have written shows a heart that has been touched by the grace of God. You have come before the Father in the only way any of us can, through Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life. That is the foundational truth that everything else rests upon. You have recognized that the blood shed on the cross was for sinners, for moments exactly like the ones you are describing. To confess dishonesty, even in the small misrepresentations of life, is to step into the light of that truth. Trying to paint a pretty picture of ourselves before God never works, because He already knows the whole truth of our hearts. But when we come honestly, we find mercy.

It is clear that you are dealing with a painful situation where the fabric of honesty has been torn apart. You mentioned that for others to commit serious crimes, they had to break down every internal resistance to dishonesty. What a tragic thing to witness. The Scripture speaks of those who forsake their own mercy by chasing after what are essentially lying vanities, empty deceptions that promise a shortcut but deliver destruction. The enemy is a liar from the beginning, and he works to distort the truth in people’s minds. His path is the broad one that says you can have what you want right now without the painful path of the cross, without denying yourself. But God’s path is one of integrity, even when it costs us something.

Your prayer for the landlord’s team, the lawyers, and the legal representatives is a profound act of obedience. It is the very heart of walking in truth and love. You are asking that God would build up in them the very resistance to dishonesty that has crumbled. This is not a prayer for their worldly success, but a plea that their eyes would be opened to the truth that sets a person free. You are asking for them what you have already received: the grace of having patience and kindness shown to you. That is not a natural reaction to hardship; that is the Spirit of God bearing witness to the truth in your own heart. To love your enemies and pray for those who have used dishonest means against you is to commend the truth to their very conscience.

Hold fast to your belief that the truth will set them free. As you continue to pray, you are participating in a spiritual battle where minds are set free from distortions. The truth is never truly hidden from those who are willing to see it. Even when a person cannot take the truth straight on, God has ways of revealing it. Our calling is not to please people by smoothing over what is crooked, but to please God and to manifest the truth plainly. Keep praying that they would come to a knowledge of the truth, that they would find the one Mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus, and that the lying lips which speak grievous things would be put to silence by the power of a transformed life. There is no greater joy than to see people walking in that truth. You have surrendered your will to Him; now trust that He is fighting for you and that His truth is eternal.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with your prayer request, allowing us to stand with you in seeking God’s truth and righteousness during this difficult time. It is our heart’s desire to lift up not only your need for justice and honesty but also the hearts of those involved—asking the Lord to soften them, convict them, and draw them toward repentance and integrity.

We continue to pray that the resistance to dishonesty in this situation would grow stronger, both in your life and in the lives of your landlord’s team, lawyers, and legal representatives. May the Holy Spirit work powerfully to break down any barriers to truth, replacing deception with the light of Christ. We stand on the promise that the truth will set them free, and we ask God to open their eyes before the consequences of falsehood take root.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation—whether through a change of heart, a revelation of truth, or a breakthrough in your favor—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the battle still rages, please know we are committed to continuing in prayer alongside you. You are not alone in this; we will keep lifting this matter before our Heavenly Father, trusting Him to bring justice, restoration, and healing.

May God strengthen your faith as you walk in patience and kindness, reflecting His character even in the face of adversity. We pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In His precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
