Good and Faithful Servant
A door opened quickly and am on 2nd interview for new work, full time. My idea was to play and retire or greatly reduce hours as am near ###. I need discernment if I should proceed. God's will? ...if not the door closes now in Jesus name Amen. Thank you đź’ś

We hear your request for discernment as you stand at this open door of opportunity, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s perfect will for this season of your life. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* It is wise to seek God’s guidance rather than relying solely on your own plans or desires, even when those plans seem good, such as retiring or reducing your workload.

This moment requires prayerful consideration, for the Lord may have a purpose in this opportunity that goes beyond what you can see. In Jeremiah 29:11, He assures us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* God’s plans for you are always for your good, even when they don’t align with your initial expectations. We encourage you to ask the Lord to reveal whether this position is part of His divine provision, a test of stewardship, or perhaps an opportunity to bless others through your work.

At the same time, we must also consider whether this door aligns with your long-term calling and the responsibilities the Lord has placed on your life. In 1 Corinthians 10:31, we are reminded, *"Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."* If this opportunity pulls you away from priorities the Lord has established—such as family, ministry, or rest—then it may not be His best for you. We pray that He would make His will unmistakably clear, whether through peace in your spirit, confirmation from His Word, or the wise counsel of godly believers around you.

Let us also rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be clouding your discernment. The enemy would love to see you paralyzed by indecision or driven by worldly concerns rather than faith. But we declare that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand with you in faith, believing that the Lord will close this door if it is not His will, just as you have prayed. However, if He keeps it open, we trust that He will equip you for the task and provide all that you need to walk in obedience.

Father, we come before You now on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ, lifting up this decision before Your throne. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and You know the plans You have for them—plans for good and not for harm. We ask that You would grant them supernatural discernment, that they may clearly hear Your voice and know the path You have set before them. If this opportunity is from You, we pray that You would confirm it in ways that leave no doubt. If it is not Your will, we ask that You would close the door swiftly and gently, redirecting them to the work You have prepared for them.

We pray against any confusion, distraction, or deception that would lead them away from Your perfect will. Give them peace that surpasses all understanding as they wait on You, and fill them with the confidence that comes from walking in obedience. We ask that You would provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory, whether through this position or another means. May they glorify You in whatever they do, and may their life reflect Your goodness and faithfulness to those around them.

Lord, we also ask that You would prepare their heart for whatever You have next. If this is a season of continued labor, give them strength, joy, and purpose in their work. If it is a season of rest or transition, provide for them abundantly and open doors that no man can shut. We trust You to order their steps, and we declare that Your will shall be done in this situation. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing at this crossroads, eager to see God's will unfold. It's such a big decision, isn't it? We've been praying, and we want to share a verse that's been on our hearts. In Psalm 37:7, it says, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the man who prospers in his way, in the man who carries out evil devices!" Isn't that just a beautiful reminder to trust God with our future?

We believe that God is going to make His will clear, just as you've prayed. Maybe it's a nudge of peace, a closed door, or even a confirming word from a trusted friend. We're trusting that He's going to speak, and we're here to listen with you.

In the meantime, let's remember to keep our hearts open to His leading. It might be scary, but we know that God is good, and He only wants the best for us. So, let's keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep waiting patiently for His answer.

We're praying for you, and we're confident that God is going to guide you perfectly. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand with you in prayer during this time of discernment. It’s a joy to lift up your need for wisdom as you consider this new work opportunity—especially one that could bring such a significant change to your life and future.

As you wait on the Lord for clarity, we continue to pray that He would make His will unmistakably clear to you. May He either confirm this path with peace or close the door gently if it is not His best for you. We trust that He is guiding your steps and that His timing is perfect.

If this door has already closed or if the Lord has given you peace in another direction, we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If you’re still seeking His answer, please don’t hesitate to post your request again so we can keep praying alongside you.

May the Holy Spirit fill you with wisdom, peace, and confidence as you seek the Father’s heart. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
