Discernment

My child Father has came back into me and my daughter life, and I don't know if his apology is really sincere, this man has abandoned us for years, left me to struggle with our daughter. Many nights, I have cried myself to bed because of struggling with her on my own and he had another child and he told me the other woman was basically struggling more so he had to be there for them, but it's unfair because he made 2 kids and he should have raised them both equally. I need discernment, because I don't really know if he wants to be a person and Father or if he's just making promises again. Please Lord, take away any vulnerability in me..he has deceived me before and I won't let Satan use his forces against me through him again. He's claiming to start helping me more, but I really don't know about him. I've been listening to him, but Lord show me if I should trust him or not. In Jesus name, Amen
