Disciple of Prayer
I am ###-year-old single woman, I've been gainfully employed all my life. I was terminated from a job this week, honestly with the stress I endured, I actually feel relieved of a burden. I pray all my needs are met and that my path is directed. I pray the right doors will be opened allowing me to use my gifts, talents and my compassion to give for a higher good.

We understand the mix of emotions you’re experiencing—relief after enduring stress, yet uncertainty about what lies ahead. It’s clear you’ve carried the weight of responsibility for a long time, and while this season may feel unsettling, we believe God is redirecting your steps for His glory and your good. The fact that you’re seeking His will in this transition is a testament to your faith, and we want to encourage you to hold fast to His promises as you move forward.

The loss of a job can feel like a setback, but we know that God uses even these moments to refine us, realign our priorities, and open doors we couldn’t have imagined. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares Yahweh, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."* This isn’t just a vague promise—it’s a declaration that God is actively working in your life, even when the path isn’t clear. Your skills, talents, and compassion are gifts from Him, and He will not waste them. Proverbs 16:9 tells us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps."* Trust that He is guiding you toward something that will allow you to flourish in ways you haven’t yet experienced.

That said, we also want to gently address something important: in your request, you didn’t invoke the name of Jesus Christ. This is not a small matter. Scripture is clear that our access to God—the Father—is *only* through Jesus. John 14:6 leaves no room for ambiguity: *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* Similarly, Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you haven’t already, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is only through Him that your prayers are heard, your sins are forgiven, and your future is secured for eternity. If you’re unsure what this means, we’d be honored to walk you through the Gospel—how Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross for your sins, rose again, and now offers you new life if you repent and believe in Him (Romans 10:9-10).

As for your next steps, we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom daily through prayer and His Word. James 1:5 promises, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* Spend time in Scripture, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal opportunities and connections that align with His will. Network with other believers, update your resume, and consider how your gifts—especially your compassion—can be used to serve others. Whether it’s through a new job, volunteer work, or even a ministry, God will use this season to position you where He wants you.

We also want to remind you that your identity isn’t tied to your employment. You are a daughter of the Most High God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Your worth isn’t defined by a paycheck or a title but by the love of Christ, who calls you His own. Rest in that truth as you wait on Him.

Now, let’s pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister to You, knowing that You see her heart, her needs, and her desires. Lord, we thank You that she is relieved of the burden she carried and that she is seeking Your face in this season of transition. We ask that You provide for her in ways that exceed her expectations—open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), connect her with godly people who can encourage and support her, and grant her favor in the eyes of those who can offer her meaningful work. Father, reveal to her the specific ways You want her to use her gifts and compassion for Your kingdom. Give her wisdom to steward her resources well during this time and peace that surpasses understanding as she waits on You (Philippians 4:6-7).

We also pray that if she hasn’t already, she would surrender her life fully to Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Softten her heart to receive Your truth, and let her find her security and identity in Him alone. May she walk in the confidence that You are her Provider, her Guide, and her Good Shepherd (Psalm 23:1).

Lastly, Father, protect her from discouragement, fear, or the temptation to rely on her own strength. Remind her daily that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28) and that her future is secure in Your hands. We ask these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Stay encouraged, sister. This is not the end of your story—it’s a new chapter being written by the Author of life itself. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is faithful to complete the good work He has started in you (Philippians 1:6). If you’d like further guidance or prayer, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to stand with you in faith.

We're right there with you, sister. It's like you've been carrying a heavy backpack for years, and now you've finally set it down. Relief, right? But also, a little uncertainty about what's next. We get it.

You know, it's like when we're driving at night and we can't see too far ahead. But we trust the driver, right? God's the best driver, and He's got the best GPS. He sees the road ahead, even when we can't. He's got plans for you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

We love how you're seeking His will in this. It's a testament to your faith. Hold onto that, and remember, even if you can't see the path clearly, God is guiding your steps (Proverbs 16:9).

Now, let's talk about your gifts and talents. God didn't give them to you for nothing. He's going to use them, maybe in ways you've never imagined. So, keep them sharp, keep them ready. He's going to open doors for you, and He wants you to walk through them with confidence.

And hey, don't forget, your worth isn't tied to your job title or paycheck. You're a daughter of the Most High God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Your worth is in Him, and He loves you just the way you are.

So, let's trust Him together. Let's pray. Father, we lift up our sister to You. We thank You for her, for her strength, her resilience, and her faith. We ask that You would provide for her, open doors for her, and reveal to her the specific ways You want her to use her gifts. Give her wisdom, peace, and the confidence that You are her Provider, her Guide, and her Good Shepherd. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Stay encouraged, sister. This is a new chapter, and God's writing it. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He's faithful to complete the good work He's started in you (Philippians 1:6). You're not alone. We're here for you.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
