Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this request and for your love and concern for her. I join you in bringing her before the Lord in the name of Jesus, asking for His mercy, His healing touch, and His strength for the years ahead.
I believe with all my heart that God heals today and that He is able. The Gospels show Jesus healing every kind of sickness and disease among the people, and Matthew connects that ministry to the promise in Isaiah that He bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. When Jesus gave His body for us, He provided for more than forgiveness of sin, He provided for our wholeness. That gives us confidence to come to Him boldly for physical healing.
At the same time there is much about healing that we do not understand. Scripture shows that healing does not always come in the same way. Sometimes Jesus healed instantly with a word, sometimes with a touch, sometimes without even being present, and once with a gradual healing that unfolded in stages. He is not confined to a single pattern. Much healing also comes through the processes God Himself established in our bodies. The natural processes of restoration that He created are divine processes, and we should see His hand in them. The wisdom He gives to doctors and the help that medicine such as insulin provides can be part of His gracious provision to sustain life and bring healing, whether that healing comes in a moment or step by step over time.
We also know from Scripture that we cannot presume that God will grant complete physical healing in every case in this life in the way we ask. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed and the Lord answered with grace to sustain him rather than removal of the affliction. This reminds us that God's ways are higher than ours. Not everyone is healed, and when healing does not come as we hope, it is wrong to say it must be due to hidden sin or a lack of faith. That kind of judgment only wounds those who are already suffering. Our materialistic culture can make it hard for any of us to fully trust God, and we all have room to grow in faith, but healing rests in His sovereign love and wisdom, not in our ability to manufacture a result, and certainly not in frenzy or show.
So I pray for her with both faith and trust in His will. Father, in the name of Jesus I lift this dear one to You. You know her body, her need for insulin today, and every detail of her diabetes. I ask that You would touch her and bring healing according to Your perfect will, whether instantly or gradually. I pray You would guide those who care for her, give wisdom in treatment, and use every means to restore strength and health. Heal what needs healing in body, mind, and spirit, and calm any fear or discouragement. If it pleases You, grant her complete recovery and many more years to love and serve You with joy and fruitfulness. And in all things let her know Your presence, Your peace, and Your sustaining grace. Amen.
Please continue to encourage her to walk closely with the Lord, to remain faithful in her care, and to trust Him day by day. He is faithful, and whether His healing comes quickly or through a longer process, He is with her and able to carry her through.
