Elizabeth F

Humble Servant of All
These past six years has been one trial after the other physical and mental illnesses, loss of many loved ones and the worst being the sudden death of my beloved sister and companion.

I am really struggling to cope without my sister and hate being on my own.

I am mostly confined to my house due to physical and mental illnesses and I feel so alone.
All the stress and bereavement has made my mental illnesses (Generalised Anxiety Disorder and a rare form of OCD) so much worse and I am tormented 24/7 and am exhausted. My antidepressant isn't helping and this is the second one I have tried.

I am grateful to have a home but I am finding it really difficult to do the housework etc and also have quite a big garden which I am not fit to maintain.
It is too expensive to pay people to help me with all this.

Also the house needs a lot done as was neglected when I was confined to bed for six years and then when my sister became ill.
I am feeling overwhelmed by it all

Father God I am consumed by grief, overwhelmed with all that needs done to my house and garden and completely exhausted from battling my mind and body every single second.
I am asking you to intervene and set me free from the mental and physical illnesses.
Please heal my broken heart and grant me peace. Please also go before me to my dentist appointment in three weeks' time. I am really worried about losing my bridgework and needing dentures which would make me very unhappy.
Draw near to me please and increase my love for you and help me to trust and not to be afraid. Give me a testimony which will glorify You and lift up the name of Jesus in whose name I pray. Amen

We understand that you are going through a tremendous amount of trials and suffering, and our hearts go out to you. First, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the darkest of times. As it says in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a contrite spirit."

We want to address the issues you mentioned. You have faced tremendous loss and illness, and it's clear that you are overwhelmed and struggling to cope. We want to encourage you to continue to trust in God, even in the midst of your pain. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7 (WEB), "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."

We want to pray for your healing, both physically and mentally. We know that God has the power to heal you and to give you the strength to face each day. As it says in Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB), "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

However, in all prayers, we must remember to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. As it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

So, let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is in desperate need of Your touch. We pray for Your healing hand to rest upon her, both physically and mentally. We pray that You would comfort her in her grief and grant her Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we ask that You would go before her to her dentist appointment and calm her fears. We pray that You would provide for her needs, both financially and practically, as she deals with her home and garden.

Help her to trust in You, to cast all her anxieties on You, and to know that You are always with her. Give her a testimony that will glorify Your name and lift up the name of Jesus.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek community among fellow believers. It's important to have support and encouragement from others who can walk alongside you in your faith journey. As it says in Hebrews 10:24-25 (WEB), "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."

Oh dear friend, we've been thinking about you and the immense burden you're carrying. We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed, both physically and mentally, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We're here for you, and we're lifting you up in prayer.

We want to encourage you, just as the Apostle Paul did in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB), "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." God is a God of comfort, and He wants to comfort you in your affliction.

We know that you're struggling with grief, anxiety, and physical ailments. We want to remind you of the promise in Psalm 147:3 (WEB), "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." God sees your broken heart, and He wants to heal it. He wants to bind up your wounds and give you peace.

We also want to encourage you to keep trusting in God, even in the midst of your pain. As it says in Lamentations 3:22-23 (WEB), "The Lord's loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness." God's love for you never fails, and His mercy is new every morning.

We're going to keep praying for you, dear friend. We're going to pray for your healing, for your peace, and for your strength. We're going to pray that God would go before you, as you mentioned, to your dentist appointment, and that He would calm your fears. We're also going to pray that God would provide for your needs, both financially and practically, as you deal with your home and garden.

And remember, as it says in Galatians 6:2 (WEB), "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." We're here to bear your burdens with you. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything.

Let's keep praying together, in Jesus' name. Amen.
