Disciple of Prayer
Im at rock bottom. Im stuck completely in life. Im living with my narcissistic parents and unemployed currently. I do go to church but I can't be vulnerable with anyone at all. Im alone, i pray Daily im struggling so much. I need a breakthrough - a job, move out and healing. Please please i desperately need your prayers 🙏🙏🙏🙏

We hear the deep despair in your cry, and our hearts ache with you, dear sibling in Christ. You are not unseen—God sees your suffering, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Though you feel trapped under the weight of your circumstances, we declare over you that the Lord is your deliverer, your provider, and your healer. You are not alone in this battle, for He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion (Philippians 1:6).

First, we must address something critical: you mentioned praying daily, but we noticed you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will* be saved (Romans 10:9). If you have already given your life to Christ, then we encourage you to pray *in His name*, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:13-14). Without faith in Jesus, there is no breakthrough, no healing, and no true freedom. If this is an area of uncertainty for you, we implore you to seek Him with all your heart—He promises you will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13).

Now, let us speak truth into your situation. Living with narcissistic parents is a heavy burden—one that can leave you feeling invisible, manipulated, or emotionally drained. But Scripture reminds us that even when our earthly parents fail us, God is a Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5). He sees the wounds inflicted upon you, and He longs to bind them up (Psalm 147:3). You do not have to remain in bondage to their control or the lies that may have been spoken over you. The truth is, you are *chosen*, *loved*, and *redeemed* by God (1 Peter 2:9, Ephesians 1:4-5). We pray that the Lord would give you wisdom on how to navigate this season—whether it’s setting godly boundaries, finding moments of rest in His presence, or preparing for the day He opens the door for you to leave.

Your unemployment is not a reflection of your worth. The enemy may whisper that you are a failure, but God says you are *fearfully and wonderfully made* (Psalm 139:14). We rebuked the spirit of poverty and stagnation over your life in the name of Jesus. The Lord owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and He is more than able to provide a job for you. We encourage you to seek Him first in this—ask Him to reveal any areas of disobedience, unforgiveness, or fear that may be hindering His blessing (Matthew 6:33). Have you surrendered this struggle to Him completely, or are you trying to fix it in your own strength? Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean *not* on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). We also urge you to be proactive: update your resume, seek counsel from wise believers, and apply for jobs diligently, but do so with the confidence that it is *God* who opens doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).

As for your isolation, we understand the pain of feeling unable to be vulnerable, even in the church. But hear this: the body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). We pray that God would break down the walls of fear and shame that keep you silent. Is there a trusted believer—perhaps a pastor, elder, or mature Christian friend—you could confide in? You were not designed to walk this path alone. If your church does not feel safe, we urge you to seek out a biblical, Christ-centered community where you can be known and loved. And if you are struggling to trust, ask the Holy Spirit to soften your heart and lead you to the right people.

Lastly, we want to address the desperation in your plea for a breakthrough. While it is right to cry out to God, we must also surrender our *timing* to Him. His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and sometimes the waiting is part of the preparation. But take heart—your breakthrough *is coming*. The same God who parted the Red Sea and raised Lazarus from the dead is fighting for you (Exodus 14:14, John 11:43-44). We declare that the spirit of heaviness is being lifted off you *right now* in Jesus’ name, and the garment of praise is being placed upon you (Isaiah 61:3). The Lord is restoring what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), and He is making a way where there seems to be no way.

**Let us pray over you:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your beloved child who is crying out from the depths of their soul. Lord, You see their tears, You hear their groans, and You are moving on their behalf even now. We ask that You would break every chain of bondage—spiritual, emotional, and financial—that has kept them trapped. Father, we rebuked the spirits of narcissism, control, poverty, fear, and isolation that have tormented them, and we command them to flee in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we ask for supernatural provision—a job that not only meets their needs but aligns with Your purpose for their life. Open doors that no man can shut, and give them favor in the sight of those who can hire them. Prepare them for this season of transition, and grant them the wisdom to steward this breakthrough well.

We pray for healing over their heart, mind, and emotions. Where they have been wounded by their parents’ words or actions, we ask that You would replace those lies with Your truth. Let them know, *deep in their spirit*, that they are Your beloved child, redeemed and set free. Break the power of fear that keeps them from vulnerability, and lead them to godly community where they can be loved and discipled.

Father, we also pray that if there is any area of sin, unbelief, or rebellion in their life, You would lovingly convict them and lead them to repentance. Search their heart, O God, and reveal anything that would hinder Your blessing (Psalm 139:23-24). Give them the courage to surrender *everything* to You.

Lastly, Lord, we ask that You would restore their hope. Let them see this season not as the end, but as the birthplace of their testimony. Strengthen them to wait on You, knowing that those who wait upon the Lord *will* renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31).

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and we declare that their breakthrough is *here*. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray—*Amen.*

We also encourage you to meditate on these Scriptures daily:
- **Psalm 40:1-3** (He lifts us out of the pit)
- **Jeremiah 29:11** (His plans are for your good)
- **Philippians 4:19** (God supplies all your needs)
- **2 Corinthians 12:9** (His grace is sufficient)
- **Isaiah 43:18-19** (He is doing a new thing)

Stay in the Word, stay in prayer, and *do not give up*. Your story is not over—God is writing a redemption arc that will leave you in awe of His faithfulness. We are standing with you in this fight. Keep pressing into Jesus. He is your only hope, and He *will not fail you*.

Dear friend, we hear your cry and we're here with you. We know it feels overwhelming, but remember, God is near to the brokenhearted. He sees you, He knows your struggle, and He's fighting for you.

We want to encourage you, first, to keep praying. Keep crying out to God, but make sure you're praying in Jesus' name. It's through Him that we have access to the Father, and it's through Him that breakthroughs come.

Living with narcissistic parents is tough, but remember, God is your Father too. He sees your wounds and He wants to heal them. You don't have to remain in bondage to their control or the lies they've spoken over you. The truth is, you are chosen, you are loved, and you are redeemed by God. We pray that God would give you wisdom to navigate this season, whether it's setting boundaries, finding rest in His presence, or preparing for the day He opens the door for you to leave.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
