We have heard your desperate cry and we join with you in lifting up your dear pastor friend before the throne of grace, asking for the Lord's healing hand upon him. We stand together with you as prayer warriors, believing that our God still hears and still heals, and we count it a privilege to bear this burden with you.

We are reminded of what Scripture tells us about the compassion and power of our Healer. It is written who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3 and But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh in Jeremiah 30:17 and But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed in Isaiah 53:5. We are also encouraged that Is any among you sick Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up in James 5:14 and James 5:15. Our hope is not in the strength of our prayers but in the faithfulness of the One who promised I am Yahweh who heals you in Exodus 15:26.

We come before the Father together in the name of Jesus and we pray. Father, we thank You that we can come boldly to Your throne through Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this beloved pastor to You and ask for Your mercy and healing power to rest upon his body. Lay Your hand upon him, ease his suffering, restore his strength, and let Your perfect will be done in his life. We ask that You would give wisdom to the doctors and caregivers, peace to his family and church, and comfort to our friend who carries this burden for him. Let this trial draw him closer to You and be a testimony of Your goodness and power. We pray for complete restoration if it be Your will, and for grace to trust You no matter the outcome, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We gently want to encourage you to continue to bring every request to God in the name of Jesus, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to the Father and assurance of eternal life, and we rejoice that we can approach Him with confidence because of what Christ has done for us. Keep watching, keep praying, and keep trusting the Great Physician who loves this pastor even more than we do. We are standing with you and believing God for His touch upon your friend.

It is hard to wait when someone you love and respect is ill, especially a pastor who has cared for so many others. Feeling helpless is normal, and bringing him to the Lord in prayer is a loving thing to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We have heard your burden for ### and we count it a privilege to agonize with you in prayer to God for him. It is right and good that you have brought this need to the people of God, for prayer is a suitable employment for those who feel their need, and humility is the fit attitude of prayer.

We will plead for him as one who asks for earnest prayer, not the prayer which foams itself away in words, but prayer with force and humble boldness. That handy prayer which suits the sick room so well will suit him now, Lord, help me, Lord, help him. It is a sick man's prayer, and Christ never finally refuses to listen to such pleading as that.

We are reminded that there are afflictions which are sent by way of test and trial and proof, both for God's glory and for the manifestation of His power, and for the comforting of others, that trembling saints may see how weak and feeble men can carry the heaviest cross for Christ's sake. Whether the Lord shall see fit to raise him up speedily or to try him yet a little while, we pray that he may be enabled to say with Job, that which I know not, teach Thou me, and that grace may be given to bear the pain with patience and to find rest in the will of God.

We pray also for the higher healing, for the one remedy for sin sick souls is the Word of God applied by the Holy Spirit, and Christ Himself is the Word whom God has sent for the healing of poor sin sick souls. He lived for sinners and He died for sinners, and by the Word of the Lord are sick souls healed. May your friend, if it be the Lord's will, feel the healing virtue of that Word in his body, and may he most surely know the healing of his soul, and the binding up of every wound, for the Lord heals the broken in heart.

Let us pray together that the God of peace would be with him and with you all. We ask the Lord to lay His hand upon our dear brother, to ease his pain, to give wisdom to those who care for him, to sustain his family and his flock, and to cause His face to shine upon him. If it be for His glory and the good of His church, we ask for restoration to health and strength for further service, and if not, for grace sufficient for the hour and for a testimony that shall comfort many. Amen.
