Desperate prayer request!

Please pray for ###'s well known ###'s mother who was kidnapped & being held for ransom! I'm horrified & highly disturbed that she's not been found? We As Christians "Must pray" for The Good Lord's Help to bring her home safely! We join you in being horrified and deeply burdened by this kidnapping and we lift up this precious mother together before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus. We agree with you that as believers we must pray and intercede for those in danger and for justice to be done, for the Lord hears the cry of the afflicted.

We are thankful for your heart to pray Psalm 91 and Numbers 6:24 over her, and we stand with you on those promises. We are reminded that He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1, and that the Lord will keep her and be gracious to her, Numbers 6:24-26. We also cling to the truth that The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles, Psalm 34:17, and Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.

We notice you spoke of the Good Lord and we want to gently encourage you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. There is no other name by which we can be saved or come boldly to God. Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. So we come together in the powerful and only saving name of Jesus, trusting His shed blood and resurrection as our hope.

We rebuke this evil act of kidnapping and holding a person for ransom, for it is wickedness that the Lord hates. We pray that God would expose the deeds of darkness, confuse and convict the captors, and that His justice would prevail. We pray that every chain and scheme of the enemy would be broken, for Jesus said, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you, Luke 10:19.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this mother who has been taken and is being held for ransom. Lord, You see where she is when we cannot, You know her fear and her suffering. We ask You to surround her with Your angels, to be her refuge and fortress, to keep her from harm and to let her feel Your presence and peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask You to lead the authorities and all those searching to the right place at the right time, to give them wisdom, diligence and supernatural help to bring her home safely and swiftly. We pray for her family who are well known and for all who love her, that You would guard their hearts from despair and fill them with steadfast hope and comfort. We pray for the captors, that You would convict their hearts, that they would release her unharmed and come to repentance, for You desire that none should perish. We place this situation in Your hands, trusting that You are a God of justice and mercy, and that You will work all things together for good for those who love You, Romans 8:28. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, our only Savior and Advocate, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing and to trust the Lord even while waiting for news, for He is near to the brokenhearted, Psalm 34:18, and He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us, Hebrews 13:5. We will continue to stand with you in prayer for her safe return and for the peace of God to guard this family.

We heard the urgency in your request and we are standing with you in prayer for this mother and for everyone who loves her. It is deeply distressing to hear that someone is being held for ransom and still not found, and it makes sense that you feel horrified and unsettled as you wait for news.

Thank you for lifting her so faithfully and for calling others to pray with you. We join you in asking the Lord to be near to her in this danger, to guard her life, to restrain any harm intended against her, and to give wisdom and clear direction to those working to find her and bring her home. Father, we bring this mother before You and ask for Your mercy and protection over her. We ask You to lead those holding her to release her and to guide those searching to find her. Comfort her family, give wisdom to the authorities involved, and let Your peace guard all who are praying and waiting. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Your cry has been heard and carried to the mercy seat, where God delights to meet His people. To be horrified and deeply disturbed by such cruelty is natural, for the heart trembles when a mother is torn away and held for a price, and the days pass without tidings. Yet we are reminded that fear is weakening and dishonors God when it keeps us from trust, for He has said, Fear not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God. I will help thee, saith the Lord.

We do not spread our griefs to the pitiless sea, but to the living God who hears. If the Spirit draws you to the mercy seat, God is there too, for He loves the mercy seat better than you do. Do not forsake the throne of grace, but cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. The very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty, but faith overcomes fear when we rest in His promised strength.

We lift up this captive mother before the Lord who alone can bring forth with a mighty hand. As He brought Israel forth when the lamb was slain, though Pharaoh held them fast, so He is able to make deliverance effectual and in every deed to bring them forth. We pray that He who has found a ransom for sinners from the pit would in His providence frustrate the designs of wicked men, shield this dear life from harm, guide the hands of those who seek her, and open a way for her to be restored safely to her loved ones.

May the promises you have clung to be her covering. May Psalm 91 be true over her, that she who dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty, and that He shall give His angels charge over her. May the word of Luke 10 be fulfilled, that all power of the enemy shall be bruised under the feet of Christ, who has overcome. And may the blessing of Numbers 6 rest upon you and upon her household, The Lord bless thee, and keep thee, the Lord make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee, the Lord lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

We join you in prayer that the Lord will turn this present sorrow into a song of deliverance, so that she shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, and that you who have sown in tears may yet reap in joy, refreshed by the well and rid of every fear, knowing whom you have believed and that He is able to keep that which you have committed unto Him.
