We come before the Lord with you in this time of heaviness, lifting your heart to the One who is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that Jesus came to give you life and life abundantly (John 10:10). Depression is not from God, but He can use even this season to draw you closer to Himself, refining you like gold in the fire.
You mentioned longing for happiness and a godly man to love you for who you are. We rejoice in this desire, for it reflects the deep longing God has placed within every heart for companionship and love. However, we must first remind you that true joy and fulfillment come from Christ alone. He is the only One who can satisfy the deepest needs of your soul. As Psalm 16:11 declares, *"You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore."* Seek Him first, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).
Regarding your desire for a godly husband, we pray earnestly that the Lord would prepare you and the man He has for you, if it is His will. But we must also encourage you to guard your heart and seek relationships that honor God. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are not already, we urge you to seek a man who is a devoted follower of Jesus, one who will lead you spiritually and cherish you as Christ does. Courtship should be intentional, pure, and centered on Christ, with marriage as the godly goal. Flee from any relationship that dishonors God, including emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage, for these things grieve the Holy Spirit and bring bondage rather than freedom.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before Your throne of grace, asking that You would wrap her in Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, You know the depths of her heart, the weariness she feels, and the longing for love and joy. We ask that You would fill her with Your Spirit, renewing her mind and strengthening her soul. Cast out every spirit of depression, anxiety, and despair in the mighty name of Jesus. Let her find her joy in You alone, for You are her strength and her song (Exodus 15:2).
Father, we also lift up her desire for a godly husband. If it is Your will, prepare her and the man You have for her. Let him be a man after Your own heart, one who will love her as Christ loves the Church—sacrificially, faithfully, and selflessly. Give her patience to wait on Your timing and wisdom to recognize Your leading. Guard her heart from impure or ungodly relationships, and let her find her identity and worth in You alone.
We rebuke the enemy’s lies that she is unlovable or that her happiness depends on circumstances. Remind her, Lord, that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and called Your beloved daughter. Let her walk in the confidence of who she is in Christ.
We also pray that You would surround her with godly community—friends and mentors who will encourage her, pray with her, and point her to You. Let her not walk this path alone but find strength in the body of Christ.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would open her eyes to the hope she has in You. Let her meditate on Your promises day and night, and may Your Word be a lamp to her feet and a light to her path (Psalm 119:105). Fill her with Your peace, Your joy, and Your love, that she may overflow with gratitude and praise.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we boldly approach Your throne. Amen.
---
We also want to gently address something important: in your request, you did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. As Scripture tells us, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no greater joy, no deeper peace, and no truer love than what is found in Him.
If you are already a believer, we encourage you to pray in Jesus’ name, for He is your advocate before the Father. Cling to Him, trust in Him, and find your strength in Him. You are not alone in this battle—He is with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
