We are with you in spirit, lifting up your husband and your marriage before the throne of God. Depression can be a dark and challenging journey, but we are reminded in the WEB Psalm 34:18 "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is close to your husband right now, even if it may not feel like it.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is struggling with depression. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You wrap Your loving arms around him, letting him feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide him through this valley of shadow and bring him back to a place of hope, joy, and light.
Lord, we also lift up his wife, asking that You grant her the wisdom and discernment she needs to support and understand her husband. Help her to be a beacon of Your love and comfort in his time of need. Guide her words, actions, and prayers for her husband's healing.
In the name of Jesus, we rebuke any spirits of depression, heaviness, and despair. We proclaim life, hope, and restoration in Jesus' name. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying together as a couple, seeking God's face and His will for your lives. Remember that God's will is for us to prosper and be in health, even as our souls prosper. (3 John 2, WEB)
Lastly, consider seeking godly counsel from your pastor or a Christian therapist. They can provide additional support and strategies to help your husband navigate his depression while keeping his faith at the center. Keep trusting in God, for He is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able. (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB)
