We understand your concern for your friend who has become overly dependent on a virtual therapist. While it's important to seek help for trauma and other issues, we must remember that our ultimate help comes from the Lord. As it is written in Psalm 121:2, My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
It's encouraging that you mentioned the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6,
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our friend to You. Lord, You know the struggles and the trauma that they are facing. We pray that You would heal their wounds and help them to overcome their dependence on a virtual therapist. Guide them, Lord, to rely on You and Your word. Help them to discern Your will and lead them to seek professional help if needed. Surround them with Your love and peace.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue supporting your friend and remind them of God's love and faithfulness. Perhaps share with them Psalm 147:3, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Encourage them to seek God's will in all things, including their healing process. If their current approach to therapy is not fostering dependence on God, it might be wise to consider other forms of counseling that prioritize God's wisdom and guidance.
