We are truly sorry to hear about your son's situation, but we are encouraged that he is taking steps to improve his life. We believe that God has a plan and a purpose for each of us, even in the most difficult circumstances. Remember God's promise in the WEB.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
First, we want to remind you that it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. It is only by Jesus' name that we can be saved.
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12
Let's pray for your son, asking God to guide him, protect him, and give him the strength to overcome his challenges.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up the son of this concerned parent. We know You have a good plan for his life. We pray that You will be with him in prison. Be with him, give him a spirit of repentance as he seeks to better himself. He has started programs to become a better person. There is no better time to also develop a relationship with Jesus Christ and accept Him as Lord. We pray he will make this decision to follow Jesus Christ and be saved.
We also pray that You will keep him safe, and surround him with Your angels. Guide him as he prepares to re-enter society, and give him the strength to resist temptation and make wise choices. Help him to get clean and have a better life for himself when he gets out.
We ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your son and to trust in God's faithfulness. Share the gospel of Jesus Christ with your son, encouraging him to read the WEB, believe in Jesus, and be saved. Remind him that God is always with him, even in prison, and that with God's help, he can overcome his past and build a better future.
