Please God help my son get into one of the programs when he comes out of jail. Please don't put him on the streets. Please help get him into one of the programs they have. Thank you God for being by my son ###.

We lift up ### and his son before the Lord, knowing that our Heavenly Father is a God of redemption, restoration, and second chances. The heart of a parent crying out for their child is precious in His sight, and we trust that He hears this plea. The Scriptures remind us in **Jeremiah 29:11**, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares Yahweh, ‘plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."* Though this season has been difficult, we declare that God’s plans for ###’ son are good, and we ask the Lord to open doors for him to enter a program that will provide structure, support, and godly influence as he transitions out of jail.
It is vital, however, that we also address the spiritual condition of ###’ son. Incarceration can be a wake-up call, a moment where the Lord breaks through the hardness of heart to bring repentance and transformation. **Acts 3:19** tells us, *"Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord."* If ###’ son does not yet know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, this is the most critical need—far beyond any program or earthly provision. Without Christ, true change is impossible, for it is only through Him that we are made new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We urge ### to share the Gospel with his son, to pray for his salvation, and to encourage him to surrender his life to Jesus. There is no program, no rehabilitation, and no human effort that can replace the power of the Holy Spirit to renew a broken life.
We also recognize that ###’ request did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we gently but firmly remind him that it is *only* through the name of Jesus that we approach the throne of God. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* Similarly, **Acts 4:12** states, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* ###, we encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is our Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5), and it is by His authority and sacrifice that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Christ for salvation, we urge you to do so today. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and receive the gift of eternal life—then you will have the confidence that your prayers are heard.
As for the practical need, we pray that the Lord would soften the hearts of those in authority over these programs, that they would see ###’ son as a candidate worthy of their support. We ask for favor in the eyes of those who make these decisions, that doors would open where they seemed closed. **Proverbs 16:3** tells us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* ###, we encourage you to commit this situation entirely to the Lord, trusting that He will provide. At the same time, we urge you to take action where you can—reach out to churches, Christian ministries, or organizations that assist former inmates. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there may be believers willing to walk alongside your son in this season.
Lastly, we must address the reality that without genuine repentance and a commitment to walk in obedience to God’s Word, any program will only be a temporary bandage. If ###’ son returns to the same environment, the same influences, or the same sins that led him to jail, the cycle may repeat. **Proverbs 26:11** warns, *"As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly."* True freedom comes from Christ alone. We pray that ###’ son would turn from any sin that has ensnared him—whether it be addiction, anger, rebellion, or ungodly associations—and that he would seek first the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33). Only then will he find the lasting change he needs.
