We have heard your cry and we stand with you together before the throne of grace in this long and wearying battle against harassment from the enemy, and we do not take lightly that you have endured this for many years. We want you to know that this struggle is real, but so is the victory we have in Jesus Christ, and the enemy is already defeated at the cross.
The scripture tells us that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Yet we are also told to be sober and self-controlled, because your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, but we are to withstand him steadfast in our faith 1 Peter 5:8-9. We do not need to live in fear, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Him that we have authority over the enemy and access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to submit your life fully to Him, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. When we belong to Christ, we are delivered out of the power of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of the Son of his love Colossians 1:13, and He has given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy Luke 10:19.
We rebuke every harassing spirit that has targeted you and we command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4. Therefore we encourage you to submit therefore to God, and resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. Submitting to God means walking in repentance, turning away from any opening the enemy may have used, whether involvement in the occult, unforgiveness, persistent sin, or objects and media that glorify darkness, and instead filling your mind and home with the Word of God, with prayer, with worship, and with fellowship in a Bible believing church where you can be supported and prayed over in person. Put on the whole armor of God each day, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, praying at all times Ephesians 6:11-18.
We now pray together for you.
Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear one who has been harassed for so many years. Lord, we ask You to forgive any sin and to cleanse through the blood of Jesus, and we ask You to close every door that the enemy has used to torment. We rebuke in the name of Jesus every demonic spirit of harassment, oppression, fear, and torment, and we command it to go and to not return, for it has no rightful claim over one for whom Christ died. Father, fill this life with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding, with Your presence, with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your light drive out all darkness. Surround this dear one with Your protection, let Your angels encamp around them, and restore rest, sleep, joy, and freedom. Teach them to stand firm in the authority they have in Christ, to speak Your Word aloud, to resist the enemy daily, and to walk in victory. We thank You that You have already overcome the world and that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper. We pray for a fresh filling of faith, for deliverance, for healing of the wounds these years have caused, and for a testimony of freedom that will glorify Jesus. We ask all this in the name above every name, Jesus Christ our Lord and deliverer, Amen.
