Demonic harassment

We have heard your cry for help after years of demonic harassment and we are standing with you together in prayer before our Father in Jesus' name, seeking His deliverance, protection, and peace over your life.
We want you to know that this spiritual battle is real, but our victory in Christ is also real and complete. Scripture tells us Eph 6:12 for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Yet we do not fight in our own strength. God has given us authority and armor in Christ. James 4:7 says Therefore be subject to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. And 1 John 4:4 reminds us You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. Luke 10:19 says Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you. And Col 1:13 says who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and authority over the enemy. There is no other name by which we can be saved or delivered. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Rom 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. When we belong to Jesus, we belong to the One who has already defeated Satan at the cross, and we can pray with confidence in His name.
In light of this, we want to encourage you to submit fully to God and actively resist the enemy. This means turning from any known sin, confessing and repenting, forgiving those who have hurt you, and removing from your home or life anything connected to the occult, witchcraft, false religions, or ungodly media that could give the enemy a foothold. We encourage you to put on the whole armor of God daily as described in Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, by immersing yourself in truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer. Fill your mind and your home with Scripture, worship, and praise, for God inhabits the praises of His people and darkness must flee from His light. 2 Cor 10:4-5 says for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. We also encourage you to not walk alone but to stay connected to a Bible believing church where mature believers and pastors can pray with you, support you, and help you discern. 1 Pet 5:8-9 says Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith. And 2 Tim 1:7 reminds us For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that You hear the cries of Your people and that You are our refuge and deliverer. Psalm 34:17 says The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Lord, we lift up this dear one who has endured years of harassment and torment, and we ask for Your mercy and Your mighty hand of deliverance to rest upon them now. We confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and that His blood was shed for the forgiveness of sins and His resurrection has triumphed over all the power of darkness. In the name of Jesus Christ we rebuke every demonic spirit, every harassment, oppression, whisper, nightmare, fear, and torment that has afflicted this life, and we command it to leave and to go where Jesus sends it and not return. We ask You to close every door that was opened to the enemy and to cleanse this heart and home with the blood of Jesus. Fill this place with Your Holy Spirit, Your peace, and Your light where no darkness can remain. Father, break every chain and stronghold, heal the wounds and exhaustion from years of battle, and renew this mind with Your truth and Your Word. Teach this dear one to stand firm in faith, to pray without ceasing, to speak Your Word aloud, and to rest in Your promises. Isa 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Let that promise be real and felt tonight and in the days to come. Surround this life with Your angels, with godly fellowship, and with the assurance that You will never leave nor forsake Your child. We declare that whom the Son sets free is free indeed, and we claim that freedom now in Jesus' name. Strengthen faith to resist the devil steadfastly until he flees, and let Your perfect love cast out all fear. We ask all this according to Your will and for Your glory, in the powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

You do not need to face this alone. One of the most steady helps we have seen is walking closely with a small circle of mature believers who know you and can pray with you in person over time. If you have a trusted pastor or church leader, we encourage you to share what you have been experiencing and ask if one or two of them could meet with you regularly for prayer and support. Continuing in community, in consistent time in the Word and in prayer, and staying connected when the harassment feels heaviest can keep you from isolating, which is often where discouragement grows.
If the strain has been affecting your sleep, daily life, or sense of safety, it is also wise to talk with your pastor and with a trusted medical or counseling professional alongside prayer, so you have care for the whole person.

Your long and sore harassment has been heard before the Lord, and we take up your cause in prayer with you.
There is comfort for such a trial as yours in this truth, that deliverance is of the Lord. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, and the Lord Himself sits as a Refiner at the door of the furnace. Yet He has not left His people to the power of darkness. The word stands, He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it, but He has invented it and He has found it in the gift of His own Son. The prisoner ready to be executed finds undeserved deliverance because the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities.
We pray that this ransom may be your shield and song. Deliverance from the guilt of sin and deliverance from the power of sin are both the work of God, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. If ever a soul is delivered from spiritual bondage, it is not by any easy work or by a hasty word, but solely by the power of God. There is no true liberty but that of which Christ makes you free, for He has taught His people the mischief of darkness and has delivered them from its fascinating power.
We therefore entreat the Lord for you, that He would keep back your soul from the Pit and your life from perishing, that He would save you from yourself and from all the attacks of the enemy, saved from the devil and from every evil power. May He command your deliverance and give you to live and to declare the works of the Lord.
We pray thus, O gracious Father, look upon this afflicted one who has endured harassment these many years. Let it please You to say, Deliver him. Let the blood of Your Son, the found ransom, prevail against every accusation and assault. Clothe Your servant in the whole armor of Christ, establish his heart in Your Word, in prayer and in the fellowship of Your people, and grant him peace within Your borders. Turn him from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that he may receive forgiveness and stand in the liberty wherewith Christ makes free. Grant continued grace to see Your fatherly hand even in chastening, and to moderate all fear of second causes, knowing that You reign over all.

We have received your request and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord for deliverance and peace.
We understand how wearying and heavy it is to endure harassment for years, and we thank you for reaching out so that others can stand with you and bring this burden to Christ, who alone has power to save and to set free.
We pray that God, who sent His Son to deliver us from evil and to bring us into sonship, would grant you freedom, protection and rest. Scripture teaches that Christ has paid the ransom for us and set us free, and that we are called to stand fast in that freedom. We pray that you would know that freedom more deeply, that you would be clothed with Christ and strengthened by the Spirit of adoption whom God gives to His children.
We ask the Lord to deliver you from every evil work, as He delivered His servants from the mouth of the lion. The enemy is like a roaring lion, but the Lord is greater, and He does not abandon those who call upon Him in the name of Jesus. We pray that any oppression, fear, disturbance or heaviness would be lifted, that God would guard your mind and heart, your home and your sleep, and fill you with His peace that passes understanding.
We pray also that God would help you to stand firm and to despise the threats of the enemy, not by your own strength but by the power that comes from Him, trusting not in our own wisdom but in Christ who is our deliverance and our life.
We encourage you to remain close to Christ each day through prayer, through reading Scripture, through regular fellowship with a faithful local church, and through walking in obedience and repentance where the Spirit shows you need. Thank you for trusting us with this burden and for asking for prayer after carrying this harassment for years. Living under prolonged spiritual oppression is wearying, and God sees the weight you have borne.
Scripture is clear that evil spirits are real. They are intelligent beings with power to afflict and deceive, and they can influence and even control people in high places to do inhumane and destructive things that cannot be explained in merely human terms. At the end of this age they will gather rulers together to make war against the Lord at His return. Yet they are not free to do as they please. The Bible speaks of a pit, an abyss, which is a prison for evil spirits, separate from the place of the dead for people. When Jesus confronted demons they cried out loudly as they left, and they begged Him not to send them to that abyss before their appointed time. That shows they are already under His authority and their time is limited.
In the visions given to John, demonic creatures are described like locusts with power like scorpions to sting and torment. They were commanded not to harm the grass or the earth itself, but only those who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. There God makes a separation. Because these are spirit beings, a person cannot hide from them by going into a basement or shutting himself in a closet. Physical barriers do not stop them. Only God can shield you, and He does shield those who belong to Him.
That is why the freedom we have in Jesus Christ is so precious. Real freedom is not simply the freedom to do whatever we want. Only the child of God knows what it is to be truly free, and that freedom is often the freedom not to have to do destructive things, not to be driven by fear, habit, or compulsion. It is possible to use freedom in a way that brings us back into bondage, to be brought under the power of something again. The apostle Paul said all things are lawful, but he would not be brought under the power of any. We guard the freedom Christ has given us by not giving place to what would master us.
God has allowed the adversary a measure of freedom for a time, to test and prove the genuineness of our love and commitment to the Lord, but that freedom is temporary. The day is coming when he will be bound and confined to that abyss, and ultimately judged. Until then Jesus says, behold I come as a thief. Blessed is the one who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and his shame be seen. To watch is to stay awake spiritually, to keep your life covered by Christ through faith, repentance, and obedience.
So I encourage you to stay close to Jesus, in whom alone there is salvation. If you have not already, place your full trust in Him for forgiveness and new life, and walk daily in that relationship. Resist the enemy by submitting to God, filling your mind with Scripture, praying continually, and bringing any known sin or open door into the light to renounce it. Do not face this alone. Seek faithful, biblically grounded pastoral counsel in person, someone who can pray with you, help you discern, and walk with you consistently. Keep your garments clean through confession and the blood of Christ, and guard your freedom by not returning to anything that would bring you under its power, whether occult practices, substance use, sexual sin, or bitterness and unforgiveness.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ who has all authority in heaven and on earth, we lift up this dear one who has endured years of harassment. You know the torment, the fear, and the exhaustion. We ask that You would give a clear sense of Your presence and protection, that You would seal and guard this life by Your Spirit. Command every evil influence to leave and forbid it to return. Break every hold and bring the peace that comes from being in Christ. Teach this one to watch and to keep their garments clean through the grace of Jesus, to stand firm in faith, and to know the glorious freedom of not being mastered by anything but belonging wholly to You. Fill this heart with Your Word, Your strength, and Your joy, and lead to trusted help nearby for ongoing care. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, our deliverer. Amen.

Scripture is clear that evil spirits are real. They are intelligent beings with power to afflict and deceive, and they can influence and even control people in high places to do inhumane and destructive things that cannot be explained in merely human terms. At the end of this age they will gather rulers together to make war against the Lord at His return. Yet they are not free to do as they please. The Bible speaks of a pit, an abyss, which is a prison for evil spirits, separate from the place of the dead for people. When Jesus confronted demons they cried out loudly as they left, and they begged Him not to send them to that abyss before their appointed time. That shows they are already under His authority and their time is limited.
In the visions given to John, demonic creatures are described like locusts with power like scorpions to sting and torment. They were commanded not to harm the grass or the earth itself, but only those who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. There God makes a separation. Because these are spirit beings, a person cannot hide from them by going into a basement or shutting himself in a closet. Physical barriers do not stop them. Only God can shield you, and He does shield those who belong to Him.
That is why the freedom we have in Jesus Christ is so precious. Real freedom is not simply the freedom to do whatever we want. Only the child of God knows what it is to be truly free, and that freedom is often the freedom not to have to do destructive things, not to be driven by fear, habit, or compulsion. It is possible to use freedom in a way that brings us back into bondage, to be brought under the power of something again. The apostle Paul said all things are lawful, but he would not be brought under the power of any. We guard the freedom Christ has given us by not giving place to what would master us.
God has allowed the adversary a measure of freedom for a time, to test and prove the genuineness of our love and commitment to the Lord, but that freedom is temporary. The day is coming when he will be bound and confined to that abyss, and ultimately judged. Until then Jesus says, behold I come as a thief. Blessed is the one who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and his shame be seen. To watch is to stay awake spiritually, to keep your life covered by Christ through faith, repentance, and obedience.
