We join with you in prayer for this mother and her son and we stand together against any curse or work of darkness spoken against them, for we know that in Christ we have deliverance and freedom.
We are reminded that curses have no authority over those who belong to Jesus, for Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Galatians 3:13. We also cling to the promise that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17 and that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1. We do not need to live in fear of curses, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. So we rebuke in the name of Jesus every curse, hex, or evil word spoken against this family and we declare it broken and powerless, for the Son has set us free and we are free indeed John 8:36.
We also notice that this request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by calling on the name of Jesus and trusting in His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins that we are delivered from all darkness and brought into His light Romans 10:9, Romans 10:13. We encourage this family to abide in Christ and to put on the whole armor of God Ephesians 6:11 so they may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy.
We lift up this son before the Lord for healing in body and soul. We pray for his physical health and for safe and steady weight loss, remembering that our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in us, which we have from God, and we are to glorify God in our body 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray that God will give him wisdom, self-control and discipline, for every man who strives in the games exercises self-control 1 Corinthians 9:25, and that He will guide him to healthy habits, nourishing food, and daily strength without harmful or extreme measures. We pray as John prayed, that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2.
We also pray for healing from past hurts, for we know the Lord is near to those who are brokenhearted Psalm 34:18 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We pray that God will remove bitterness and pain and replace it with His peace that passes all understanding Philippians 4:7, and that this young man will know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14 and that God works all things together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we thank You that You are our deliverer. We ask that You break and end now every curse and every evil assignment against this mother and her son, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Wash them in the blood of Jesus and fill their home with Your light and peace. Lord, we ask for Your healing hand upon this son, touch his body and help him to lose weight safely and in a way that honors You, grant him strength to steward his body well and to walk in self-control. Heal his heart from all past hurts, wounds, and memories that have caused pain, and let him know Your love that casts out fear 1 John 4:18. Restore his joy and give him hope for the future, for You have plans to give him hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We ask that both mother and son would draw near to You, trust fully in Jesus as Savior and Lord, and walk in the freedom You have purchased for them. We ask this in the name of Jesus, amen.

We have heard your prayer for deliverance and we carry it with you to the throne of grace, where alone true deliverance is wrought.
Scripture teaches us that our deliverance from the curse is not by a mere moral change in us but by a redemptive work for us. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. In our place He bore our sins and the curse which came of it. There is no curse that can stand against the blood of the Lamb. When the lamb was slain, deliverance came, and He brought them forth with His own hand and outstretched arm. What you fear as a curse spoken against you and your son has no power to hold those who are in Christ Jesus, for He has borne the penalty and found the ransom.
So we pray that you and your son would know this deliverance effectually, that the Lord who alone can bring forth from cruel captivity would bring you forth into liberty, and that you would see, as we have often seen at the brook Jabbok, that fear is turned to peace when the Lord Himself moves to save.
We pray also for your son according to the abundance of healing that is in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing beneath His wings, and when Jesus pardons He also heals, for pardon and healing are one. We ask the Lord to grant your son safe and wise care for his body, strength to steward it with discipline and health, and deliverance from every hurt that has gone before.
May the Lord heal the wounds of the past, for He changes the life blood and makes the nature other than it was before. The joy of pardon makes us forget the sorrow of the past, and the inhabitant of Zion shall not say, I am sick, for his sin is forgiven. We ask that your son would know that forgiveness and that healing together, that his heart would meditate not on terror that is past and gone, but on mercy that is forever his own in Christ.
We pray that after this affliction you both shall live and declare the works of the Lord. If we had no troubles we would have less to declare, but those who have been brought up from the pit have a song of deliverance to sing. May you be given grace to say, the Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over unto death, and to tell to others of the great deliverance wrought out by the Lord Jesus Christ.
We commit you and your son to Him who is gracious and who has found a ransom. May He be your peace within your borders and your healing and your song. In the name of Jesus Christ, our only salvation, we ask these things. Amen.
